Rivener's gaze flicked up to Yuurei when the woman yelled at him. The Sigel didn't frown: he knew it must have looked bad, but he'd had a good reason this time. "I gave her a numbing toxin. She was hurting. Her wrist or hand or arm or something... She's not feeling the pain now." Riv cuddled Lucia closer. Rivener worked more on instinct than logic lately, and in the moment he couldn't be farther from thoughts of who owned his Heart. Lucia was here, she was in his arms, and he loved her, for now at least. He placed a hand over the soft palm the kitten alit on his chest, and leaned his chin into her hair.
Yuurei's request to carry Lucia was met with a soft scoff. "Of course I'll carry her," Rivener agreed, easily wrapping his arms around the frei and carefully lifting them both up, ready to follow back home. "She's so light," he noted, almost in surprise, as he blinked at the dark-haired girl.
Aphismet sighed softly. "I'm glad that we found her, Yuurei. You can use the phone at our house to call the doctor; maybe doctor Tsu? At any rate, if you need anything..." Aphismet smiled. He was glad the Raevan girl was found, but he still felt so helpless. What had happened, exactly? It felt more like Lucia had found them, not the other way around. Aphi was almost sure the girl hadn't been there, they'd scoured the graveyard twice!
Despite his worries, Aphismet would not be raining on their parade. Instead he just led the way back home, finding the path much easier now that he and Yuurei had trudged through the grasses and paths at least once earlier.

Lucia would have fallen asleep, or maybe she did for a second, if she hadn’t been picked up so they could walk back. She leaned against Rivener, her wings tucked back. He could support her weight without any help, she noted.
This was just like it was supposed to be. She was saved by her knight in…sweaters. She smiled to herself, looking up at him wide eyed. She draped her free arm around his neck, fingers gently playing with his hair. Why did they have to leave this spot? The humans could go. But she was so comfortable. Her arm no longer hurt. The rest he could obviously tend to. Who needed anything else? ”Wait” she whispered so only he could hear.
Yuurei walked to Aphi’s side. Now they would need to figure out how the hell to get back. Her worry was being replaced by annoyance and relief. ”I’ll have to figure it out. I don’t know if it would be smarter to get her home or not move her. I don’t know what’s going on. . .” she voiced her thoughts. ”I could have sworn we had searched there; Rivener was just in that exact spot. Wasn’t he?” She wrapped her arm around Aphi’s again, wanting to be close to the light, though, she mused, if Rivener had gone first Lucia could have lit the way.

Rivener was only just beginning to follow the two humans when Lucia wrapped that arm around his shoulder, the kitten's fingers toying with Riv's hair. That short whispered word caused more worry than interest, the Sigel pausing to look down at the girl. Was she still in pain? Did she need to wait for something to happen here? Had she perhaps lost something? "What is it?" he asked, oblivious to any ulterior motive on the frei's part.
Aphismet walked ahead. Picking their way through the swamp grass was easy, their trail very clearly stamped by the pushed-down grass. His light flooded the way as much as it could, and he kept his arm out for Yuurei to hold onto. "I know what you mean about the searching, I was thinking the very same thing. Maybe he hadn't looked properly, or perhaps she'd been hidden in a shadow... Riv wasn't looking where there was much light, after all."
Although that brought another question to mind: with Lucia's rune glowing white like that, they should have spotted a spot of light right away. There'd been nothing, it had been pitch dark... "I honestly don't know what happened. We can't just leave her there, though, she needs to see a doctor... Moving her should be fine, Rivener will be careful, I'm sure." The chef patted Yuurei's hand awkwardly with the fist holding the flashlight.

Yuurei smiled at Aphi. ”I meant to my house. I don’t want to burden you any more than I already have. But…thank you very much. I don’t know what I would have done without your and Rivener’s help.” She would have to take the frei home. And then there was a doctor. She could call one to her house, but what if the girl needed a cast? And X-rays? That had to be done in a hospital. Tired or not the frei had a long night in front of her.
He stopped and the humans kept going. It was now or never, Lucia thought, remembering her thoughts of the Scorpion when she had been dying. She took a breath, gathering the strength she could.
Unfolding her wings, she flapped them slightly and pulled gently on his shoulder so that her face was right in front of his, even though he was still supporting her. She slid her hand down his back so her elbow was holding her up, her body against him. Every time they had kissed before it had been quick, fleeting. This time, Rivener would know he was being kissed. One kiss from her, she thought, she would be the one helping him back. ”Thank you, Rivener,” she whispered her pouty lips parting slightly. Her nose brushed against his and she looked into his eyes, not wanting to make a mistake like she did at the pool. She needed to know he wanted it too. He was the knight. The knight always kissed the damsel in distress after saving her.

"You're very welcome," Aphismet replied with a smile. "And it's no burden at all... It certainly seemed to have done Rivener some good, at any rate. He hasn't been this compassionate towards someone in a while now. The illness, and all. You DO know about that, right? ...OH god, what if Rivener's infecting Lucia?!"
Suddenly worried, Aphismet spun his head around only to find that the two Raevans were nowhere to be seen. He stopped in his tracks. "R-Rivener?" He called tentatively, frowning.
The small surge of relief Rivener felt when he learned Lucia only told him to wait so she could offer thanks was quickly overshadowed by a wave of something else when she moved up against his body like that, staring into his eyes. Rivener only had a second to try and figure out what that new feeling was. Pride? Lust? Guilt? Fear? He was nowhere near an answer by the time Lucia's amethyst eyes sparkled and took up the whole world.
She was offering her lips. Without any conscious thought whatsoever, Rivener bridged that small gap the kitten had left between their mouths. Who cared if it was a giant mistake? Who cared that he would regret this later? Rivener was a creature of instinct now, and his instincts told him to kiss the girl. He'd saved her, she was his now, and a kiss was the logical way to seal the deal.
Her lips were pouty and soft. Rivener took the time to notice those lips, unlike the other times he'd kissed Lucia. "Mnh," the Sigel moaned hoarsely under his breath, only barely resisting the urge to slip his tongue out and lap at the seam of Lucia's lips.
Faintly, he thought he could hear someone calling his name. Reluctantly he pulled away, breathing a little heavier and staring into Lucia's eyes with smoldering, half-lidded rubies. "You're welcome, Lucia."

Yuurei waved Aphi’s concerns aside. ”Ebony mentioned something about Lucia being infected by Cordelia. It hasn’t seemed to really affect her that I’ve noticed.” Everything that had happened, other than the frei’s disappearance tonight, the woman had justified. And this, she thought, had no connection with a virus. Viruses didn’t make people disappear and reappear out of thin air. The blonde smiled, ”And I’m glad she seems to be doing Rivener some good.”
Turning around and as Aphi seemed disturbed, Yuurei shrugged. ”They’re probably just hanging back a little. You know, Lucia used to have a little crush on Rivener” she smiled at the idea. ”I’m sure it’s nothing. And I should call the doctor, but if you want we can wait or go see what’s up.” The woman was feeling much better now that she wasn’t panicking and didn’t have to worry about anything other than how late she would get to sleep tonight.
As Rivener accepted the kiss, the kitten’s heart reeled and her eyes closed. Her hand absentmindedly played with the back of his neck, her soft fingers gently smoothing and weaving their way through his hair. This kiss was so much better, so much more intense than their previous ones. Her body could have melted into his, even with the large amount of his clothing between them.
He smelled so good, she noted. Musky, but his lips were sweet and wanting. As Rivener pulled away from her, the frei’s insides smoldered. Lucia’s eyes shone as the sigel said the customary response to gratitude. She was ignoring the humans, for all she knew they were wherever Rivener’s house was. But Lucia wanted Rivener to remember this night, her, and this kiss. She wasn’t planning on taking a back seat the whole time. Licking her lips briefly, a smile played on the frei’s lips. She looked in his eyes, blinking slowly, purposefully.
The kitten’s free hand slipped easily from the Scorpion’s neck to the back of his head. Her wings fluttered again to lift her lips towards his and used her free arm to pull Riv’s face to hers, not that she thought she’d need any help getting him closer to her. Her soft lips parted slightly as she closed her eyes again.
Her lips found their counterparts easily and she kissed Rivener deeply and powerfully. Her lips opened slightly and she slipped her tongue out to lick Rivener’s upper lip and then playfully slipped it into his warm mouth, hoping to find an equally playful tongue. Her tongue flicked across his teeth and searched for his own.
Moving her lips gently with his, Lucia’s eyelashes fluttered and she flapped her wings again, trying to pushing her body even closer to his than it already was, which was obviously impossible. Her hand ran down his chest and slipped under the gap at the bottom of his clothing. Her hand was warm as she let her fingers gently trace his abs. On display at the party he had looked so good. Pulling away to take a breath of air, another smile played on the kitten’s lips and she gently nibbled on Rivener’s lower lip before releasing it. Now she was breathing deeply. She hoped that Rivener's mind was blown. She was pretty sure it would be.

Aphismet blinked at Yuurei's calm demeanor. She was just like Alex, in not worrying that their Raevans might be getting into some kind of trouble. Was Aphismet the only one to ever worry? ...Hell, was Rivener the only one who ever DID get into trouble, almost assuredly?! The chef forced himself to calm down. They just hung back a bit, that's all, just like Yuurei said. No reason to get all concerned.
He smirked nervously at Yuurei's mention of Lucia's crush on Riv. "Yes, I'm aware. Rivener doesn't normally get visits from girls, and he'd been busily gussying himself up before Lucia's visit that one time... But erm, Rivener's kind of involved with another Raevan. I think. I honestly don't know what it means to those Raevans, or if they even care about being exclusive or anything like that. So erm, yeah, I suppose I'm babbling. The doctor! Yes, we should go call the doctor. I'm sure Rivener will find the way back."
With a slight nod of his head, Aphismet turned back towards the path and continued on the way to the house. Once they made it to the woods, Aphismet could see a few lights from the porch through the trees. Not far now.
Rivener's breath hadn't quite returned by the time Lucia threaded her fingers to the back of his neck, pulling his mouth back to hers. "Mmmgh," Rivener moaned softly, frowning at how forceful and pleasant this second kiss was. He tightened his hold around the girl's body, pressing her to him in a way that was much more squishy than it had ever been before. How-... wonderful.
Lucia had parted her lips, and her tongue sought out Rivener's shamelessly. Who was the Sigel to refuse something like THAT? His own tongue met the kitten's and explored, and it felt so warm and wet, and it was making Rivener's body tingle all over. A hand suddenly slipped under his sweaters and drifted fingertips across his stomach, a pleasant tickling sensation.
When Lucia pulled away, Rivener remembered he needed to breathe. Deep gasps of breath were sucked in as he cracked open his eyes again, staring at the frei in his arms. She was smiling at him, nibbling his lower lip and looking almost expectant.
Riv chuckled and stuck his tongue out, flicking it across the kitten's lower lip in reply to her nibbling. "Mmmnh," was all he said, beating his wings to lift them both into the sky. He'd take the short-cut home. As much as he wanted to stay with Lucia in the dark swamp, press her down into the ground and ravage her somehow, there wasn't much way for him to do that. For the first time of his life he wondered if he wouldn't have wanted one of those Floppy Fish things.
"You are sooooo sexy," Rivener whispered at Lucia's ear as they flew towards the house he could spot in the distance, the Sigel biting playfully at the furry appendage he was whispering into.

Yuurei grinned. It was just like her kitty to be the only lady in someone’s eyes, well, maybe. ”Yeah, she definitely dolled herself up too. But I’m sure Lucia’s not interested anymore. It’s been so long since that time. She hasn’t mentioned him to me since.” The woman shrugged, not realizing how clueless she was. The blonde smirked as Aphi continued. ”So he has a new love interest? Well they must have mentioned it. Lucia’s not the type to want sloppy seconds or anything,” she mused, finally getting something right about the frei she cared for, for a year and a half.
As they approached the house Yuurei sighed with relief. Almost there and she could call a doctor. ”You said I should try Dr. Tsu? With the lab? I should probably try him first before I call anyone else. I don’t know if another raevan has ever broken anything before and I’m not sure if their makeup will cause problems or be helpful with bone regrowth.”
Lucia grinned realizing she had caught Rivener a little off guard, but he seemed very open to her attentions to say the least. He didn’t even seem to mind any cold air that reached his body as her warm hand caressed his stomach. She left the older raevan panting and obviously wanting more. If he had socks, they would have been knocked off she decided as she took in his reaction while nibbling her treat.
As Riv’s tongue teased her lip and he lifted the pair up, Lucia gasped audibly, her free arm slipping around him again. He was doing like he promised: flying her into the stars. The cat who was normally terrified of heights felt warm and secure in Rivener’s arms. She gripped him resting her cheek gently against his strong jaw bone.
As Rivener whispered in her ear, the kitten smiled and her tongue danced circles on Rivener’s neck in half-licks, half-necking. As he nipped at her, Lucia began making wet kisses up his collar bone; the frei didn’t care where they landed as she released his body and placed her hand on his neck again.
Pulling herself up, using him as leverage, Lucia didn’t bother with any preamble and kissed him square on the lips, her mouth already open, her tongue already darting against his as she closed her eyes and flew with him into the sky.

Aphismet let out a similar sigh of relief as the house came into view, the pair of humans finally emerging from the trees and into the Delaran's vast back yard. "Actually," Aphismet said, reveling in how the flashlight's glow seemed much brighter once they left the thick, oppressive fog, "Eiry had a broken wing once! Eiry's my brother's Raevan. His wing's not even really a wing, it's like flame and ghost-stuff, but Dr Tsu was able to help it heal. Or if Tsu isn't available, I'm sure Kyou could do something too." The chef nodded.
He set foot onto the back porch and turned off the flashlight finally, grinning. "Back, safe and sound! Now we just have to wait for the kids to-... Oh, is that them in the sky? ....OH." Aphismet's eyes widened and he blushed at the display.
Rivener's purr-growl was very close to a cat's as the girl licked and kissed at his neck and collarbone. He accepted her kiss enthusiastically when she pulled herself up to his lips again. The Scorpion needed to watch where he was going, but he'd seen where the house was; that'd be enough for now. He could concentrate on returning the passionate kiss, his lips moving against Lucia with unabashed desire.
Time had no meaning, and all too soon the pair were close to the house. Rivener pulled away from the kiss to watch where he was going, landing himself and the kitten on his balcony, ignoring the two humans (wherever the hell they might be). "Mnh, come to my room," Riv whispered hoarsely. He had no idea what more he'd do once he was in there, but he knew that Lucia needed to lay down on his bed, and Riv needed to lay on top of her, and they needed to keep tasting each other like this for a good long time.
Freeing an arm from around the kitten, Riv pushed his balcony door open and floated inside, heading for his bed, all the blankets still thrown into a large pile against the chill that permeated the house.
"Oh, good lord. C'mon, we should get Lucia outta there. I don't think Riv will be bringing her down." The chef was blushing darkly, shaking his head. That horny friggin Sigel... Aphi dreaded the day he'd grown something below his waist.

Yuurei sighed a sigh of quiet relief as the chef told her that other raevans had broken bones before. So it was okay. Dr. Kyou, she thought she remembered him mentioning at some time, wasn’t an actual medical doctor; but either way she would call the lab and explain as much as she knew of the situation. Maybe calling about the arm and just writing a report about the rest of it would be better. The blonde’s thoughts disappeared as Aphi mentioned the sky. Looking up, Lucia’s bring glowing rune was like a spotlight; and they weren’t hard to miss. Neither was the fact that their faces seemed locked together. What the hell was Lucia doing?! She had a broken arm and she was busy playing kissy face with the one who had ruined her party!
Lucia moaned softly into the sigel’s mouth as the pair kissed with wanton abandonment. She didn’t care where Rivener wanted her to go, as long as he was there with her. Still being held up by the Scorpion, Lucia went wherever he did. She did return to her moist lick kisses along his neck as they landed on the balcony.
Lucia flapped her wings gently, helping propel the pair into the Scorpion’s room. She was being carried but he needed to know she was interested too, if it wasn’t already obvious. Her kisses on his neck turned firey as she sucked and nibbled in between kisses. She didn’t think she’d leave a mark or anything, but she didn’t care either way.
Yuurei’s eyes widened as she watched the two raevans go through a door on the balcony and enter the house. What did that boy think he was going to do to a cat? Especially when neither of them had a lower body. She nodded at Aphi, ”Let’s go then.” As she followed Rivener’s guardian into his home once again to rescue her raevan, Yuurei could be heard mumbling to herself something about not in her condition.

There was absolutely no doubt in Rivener's mind that Lucia wanted this. The girl was constantly licking or kissing at him, and Rivener felt so damned arrogant about it now. He was irresistible to her! She was following without question, and Rivener could do anything he pleased. Anything.
Once they reached the bed, Riv gently pushed Lucia away and down, pressing her into the bundled-up covers. Grinning his best honey-coated smile, Rivener lowered himself on top of her, surrounding her with his arms and leaning down to clash their mouths together again, hot and heavy and passionate.
And then the stupid bedroom door opened.
"Rivener Delaran! What the hell?! She's wounded, she needs to go home now!" Aphismet sounded more upset than he should have a right to be. The chef walked closer and put a hand on the Scorpion's shoulder, trying to tug him off the kitten frei.
"Pfah, let go of me you ignorant b*****d," Rivener hissed back, pushing Aphi away with a wing. He glared over his shoulder for a moment but had to admit that his alone time was probably over. Besides, Lucia WAS wounded... The cold was making Riv rather lethargic, too. He sighed and pushed himself up, lifting the kitten along with him.
He offered her one last burning kiss, slipping both hands into her hair to hold her lips to his. "Mmmmnnhhh, see you later, sexy kitty," he breathed into her ear, smirking.
Aphismet's face was painted red permanently, and he motioned for Yuurei to come get Lucia. "S-sorry about this," he whispered to the woman. "Riv lately, I dunno. Anyway, if you need the phone, it's downstairs. Anything else I can help with?"

Lucia melted against Rivener as he laid his larger body on top of hers. Their kisses were passionate and only escalating. Lucia’s free arm wrapped around Rivener to pull him closer just as Aphi opened the door. The kitten looked at him, scowling. Now was not the time to interrupt. She tried to focus on Rivener and only Rivener, but as his retarded guardian got in the way, the Scorpion seemed to accept it! What the hell! Her cat-eyes glared daggers at Aphi.
As Rivener picked her up, conceding defeat Lucia’s temper flared. As he pulled her to him for one last kiss, Lucia made sure it would be one that both he and his guardian would remember. Pushing her chest against his Lucia had just as much force and determination behind it as Rivener. She savored it, but she made sure that both of them knew it. Groaning softly as the Scorpion released her, Lucia nibbled again on his lower lip. He whispered in her ear and her shoulders curled back as she took his hand in hers and kissed his pointer and middle finger firmly and turned to glare at the man who was forcing her to leave. . . and in her injured state!
As Aphi called her in Yuurei noticed the angry look the cat was giving the man. ”No, but I think we’ll maybe go. I can call no problem from home. Thank you very much though, again, for your help. And…sorry.” Yuurei turned to look at Rivener, the haughty smile making her anger glare up, but instead she turned to Lucia. ”You obviously have enough strength to float on your own. Come on, we’re going to the car.” The woman made the frei walk in front of her so that Lucia wouldn’t be able to steal back upstairs. As they went out to their car, Yuurei could be heard scolding the frei – for causing trouble.
Lucia was oblivious. She noticed the pain in her wrist was starting to come back, but she was floating on air figuratively as well as literally. Nothing could bother her. ”And we’re going to the hospital and I don’t care what you say.” Never mind.
