"Hm," Risa said, thinking about the woman's question. "How about your place? I know Miles wants to see Zemel again, anyway." She was honestly trying to be nice; though she couldn't shake the feeling that Stasia really didn't like her. "So... When are you and Zee getting married?" She asked, giving the halfling a bright smile. "Do you have a date set yet? Do you know where you'll be having it?"

Loki continued with his story happily, pleased that he'd found such a good listener. He liked telling stories; he was good at that. Even if most of his stories ended up being lies instead. "And we get married when we big," he told her. He didn't exactly know what the word 'married' meant, but Mommy talked about marrying Daddy often enough, so he'd gathered that it was rather important for grownups to do. "We get married and lots of stuff. Then! We live happily ever after, kay?" That was how all good stories ended; unless they were the better kind, with scary stuff.

"My place is fine." Stasia said, nodding. She smiled a little, readjusting her grip on the full basket. "We haven't set a date yet. And if I get my way, we'll just have a small wedding at Matth's place or something. Something nice, but not too costly." A.k.a., she hadn't thought of it too much and was coming up with something on the spot. Honestly, her marriage was the farthest thing from her mind. What with doing her best to raise her children and trying to keep her sanity while doing so.

Aesica blinked, pausing a moment. "Unrealistic." she said simply. She could have said something really mean, or she could have said something really nice. Instead, she decided to pick what she thought was "neutral", even if it was still kind of mean. "No such thing as happily ever after." she added, for good measure. Might as well inform the older boy now before he got his hopes too high.

"Oh, a small wedding sounds nice," Risa said with a smile and a nod. "Matthias and I haven't come up with a date either; I'm hoping it's sooner rather than later, though... We've planned what the flowers and colors will be, but further than that..." Risa conviently forgot to mention that most of their 'planning' had been teasing.

Loki frowned, and crossed his arms. "There is so," he argued. "Mommy and Daddy getting one. Mommy say so." Happily ever afters did exist! Even if Mommy wasn't his favorite parent, he didn't like to think she'd lie to him. "There is. Not for ev'rybody though. For some. And we gonna get one too."

"Yeah....good luck with that." Stasia said, smiling a little. She didn't want to be the bearer of bad news, but she just did NOT see Matthias settling down and getting married. In all her years of knowing him, she just couldn't picture him doing something so...domestic.

Aesica just shook her head. "Happily ever afters are....are boring." she said, shrugging. She certainly didn't want one; people didn't get to have any fun if they got a happy endings! She'd rather never have one and have adventure after adventure than end up sitting pretty in dress somewhere embroidering.

Risa was surprised, so surprised that she dropped the apple she was holding. "What do you mean? You don't sound as if you're wishing luck at all." she asked, frowning slightly as she bent to pick the apple up. She stood, and her frown was accompanied by her eyes narrowing. "Matthias and I have already planned out the colors and flowers," she said haughtily. "Matthias even went so far as to suggest having the wedding in your backyard."

Loki paused for a moment, before nodding. "You right," he agreed. "We no have a happily ever after. We have something even better!"

It was then the half-elf did something completely unexpected; she laughed. Out loud. Without restraint. As her laughter died down a bit, she wiped a stray tear away with her free hand. "I'm sorry." she said, grinning and shaking her head. "You do realize that right past my backyard is the graveyard, right?" she said, all too amused.

Aesica chuckled; her pet was ever so amusing. His enthusiasm was just ever so endearing. "Fair enough." she said, nodding. Hmm, what could be better.... Seats of power? Political strangleholds? World domination? The little raven haired child grinned.

Risa frowned at her companion's laughter. "I know that, Miles told me," she muttered. "It's why he felt sick when he came home after visiting Zemel. Still, he suggested it, and I think he meant it," she said haughtily. "Even if the location suggested is less than desirable."

If only Loki had known what category he was in, he would have frowned. As it was, he gave a smile and moved closer to Aesica. He put his arms around her in a hug. "I love you, Aesica!" he said by way of explanation. They would have something better than happily ever after. Maybe a happily longer than ever after.

Stasia just smiled at Risa, not bothering to hide her amusement. "So, when were you all going to ask me if using my backyard was okay?" she inquired, setting her now-full basket down on the ground. "Or was it going to be an oh-so-pleasant surprise?"

Aesica's dark blue eyes widened in surprise. She patted the boy on the back wordlessly, kind of speechless. Note to self: this pet was overly affectionate. Be prepared. "Like you too?" she offered, unsure of how she was supposed to respond to such a declaration of adoration.

"We're not using your back yard," Risa told her with a kind smile. "Or we would have asked. I think Thali's will suit us just fine." Yes, Thali's was better. Risa really didn't want Miles passing out or becoming ill during the wedding. "You know--graveyards just don't strike me as the greatest place to have a wedding."

Loki was thrilled. He was so thrilled that he almost forgot that he was supposed to be causing trouble for his mother later on in the afternoon. "You like me too? Hooray!" That was settled, then! Soon it'd be time for planning weddings! ...Whatever weddings were. They had to be a good thing, for Mommy to like them so much.

"Don't blame you. Graveyards aren't the liveliest places for events like weddings." the half elf said, joking. "Why don't you have it at Matth's? He's got a huge yard."

If Aesica only knew what Loki was planning. But, for now, she was blissfully unaware... "Uh.....that's nice...." she said, her tone uncertain. Too. Much. Enthusiasm. Augh, the horror!

Risa sighed; she had hoped she would be able to avoid mentioning Miles' weakness. "It's Miles, you see. Matthias grows flowers that symbolize death. It's why we can't have the wedding at your place either. For some reason, Miles gets sick everytime he's near a grave--or anyone anything that can be associated with death. If not, he starts giving an over-descriptive account about how everyone in the room is going to die--or how the people in the grave site died. I'd really rather avoid that."

Loki gave her a smile, before picking up an apple that had been dropped. He rubbed it on his shirt to shine it before offering it to her.

Stasia nodded; that did pose a problem for the poor boy. "How are you going to manage when it comes time to move in?" she asked, concerned for Miles. From what she could gather, he was a nice boy.

Aesica smiled, taking the apple. "Thank you, Loki." she said. While she couldn't eat it, she appreciate the gesture. She gave him a hug as a reward, since he apparently liked these hug things. Eh.

From the expression on Risa's face, it was clear that she hadn't thought about moving in yet. "I don't know what we'll do," she confessed. "I can't ask Matth to tear down his garden for Miles. Maybe we can find something that counter balances it..."

Loki returned the hug happily. He loved hugs; as long as they weren't from Mommy. "Welcome!"
