"Not long," Baridi-Lala tried to cool her thoughts, Pipi was just asking questions, "There have been a lot of bad things happening..I wont beat around the bush although I was thinking about it, some lions have been murdered. Who ever is doing it hasn't been caught." It terrified her and took a lot of her will power not to shiver.
"Gebali and I thought it best if I left just for a little while, told anyone here I was okay, and returned home," she'd called the swamps -her- home without realizing it.
"I think exciting things could happen here, you could be up to something. If you think it's not exciting why don't you leave?"

As soon as Lala-Baridi mentioned murder, Pipi was sitting straight and staring at her sister with wide, worried eyes. Someone was going around in this pride murdering "some lions" and hadn't been caught? And Lala didn't care about that?
"Murder? Some lions?" she stammered, completely off the topic of herself now, "How long has it been since all this happened? You can't seriously want to go back if there's a murderer there! Lala- Baridi-- Lala- "
Pipi was on her feet, trying to find the words to explain why it was just a bad idea but they all seemed too obvious. She didn't want Lala to go back where she might be killed. Why didn't she and Gebali just come here? Why couldn't they stay somewhere safe. Granted, they had a history of some bad things happening here but it wasn't a murderer hiding in the pride. She wanted them to know she was OK but she was putting herself in danger..? She didn't make sense!

"Pipi! I-I don't know just how many, I know little to nothing about it, I just know it has been going on," She felt angry, she loved Gebali, and she was warming up to the swamp..the farther she got from either the more she wanted to return. She also loved Pipi and wanted Pipi to accept and know exactly what she felt.
"I know it sounds crazy, but I want to be there, I want to be with my mate in his home. He's had it hard, his mother abandoned him in the swamps, the queen of those lands raised him...she died not too long ago. He has a special connection to those lands, I will not make him leave...and I wont leave him."
She stifled a growl, the first time she'd ever wanted to grow it rose up in her and sounded like an odd burp as it escaped.
"I..you'd have to know them..know the lions I've met from their pride, they're wonderful lions, I want to be with them.." How could she make Pipi understand? "You've..you've got to understand.."

"But you could be killed!" she shot back, not liking to say it that way but she definitely didn't want her sister wandering back around an area where she might be hurt, "And now you're here, it's safe here, why can't you stay? It can't be safe to be wandering around alone, and you're here alone."
Pipi wasn't sure it would work, arguing with Lala about this.. she seemed to sure about it. She didn't seem to care about what was going on there. Pipi couldn't say she knew anything more than what Lala told her but anywhere you could say lions, more than one, had been murdered.. by one other and not all at once in a random, identifiable attack..
"I- I'll tell dad!"

"Tell him!" She shouted back and stood, she started to pace. This wasn't supposed to be difficult; it was supposed to be like a vacation, come back refreshed and happy. Lala glared at her sister.
"I am going back there, to my new home, you can't stop me. you're welcome to come with me and stay by my side at every moment of the day and night if that will ease your mind..but I'm going no matter what you say or do."
Lala sat suddenly stunned...she really meant to go back there, this was how she really felt deep down inside coming out, loud and proud.
"Pipi, I'm going."

Pipi was already on her feet and all she had left to do was try to stare down her sister. She bit her lip, holding back a a growl of her own this time. She could get their father, he wouldn't want anything to happen to Lala either. You never knew what happened once they left home but Lala was here. Right here. They knew she might be in trouble and they could help keep her safe.
"But Lala!" she exclaimed, not sure what else to do, stomping her feet pointlessly, "I just want you to be safe." She kept glaring, she didn't look much like she wanted Lala to be safe at that very moment. Why wasn't Lala even acting worried about it? Just what happened in this pride she was a part of now that she could be so normal about murder?

Lala had to stay calm or she was quite sure she'd fall completely apart emotionally. She missed Indu, that was a big thing on her mind, even if they'd parted happily. She loved Gebali and wasn't about to leave him, she haed the mud and being dirty, and she was terrified of the murders and murderer/s. She was holding herself together the best she could, and if that seemed unphased Pipi, well, tough titty said the kitty.
"I know you want me to be safe, I want to be safe too. I honestly feel that I will be..I am scared..really scared that's why I agreed to leaving to see you...but I can't leave now, I friends there that I want to see safe, and a mate."
"I don't think we'll ever agree, Pipi," Oh, she didn't want to worry her sister, "I think..it's best if I just go..don't worry about me."

It was hard not to understand that Lala had others she wanted to see safe. She wanted her friends and her mate to be safe. She had a new life and she was putting up with the danger because of it. It was upsetting. Pipi didn't know what to do, what to think.. she didn't want to think Lala had stopped caring about everybody else here. She knew that everybody had their own lives but actually facing someone who had changed so much was hard.
After a long silence, she looked on the edge of tears.
"Fine!"

Lala held onto her own tears, "Fine!"
She stood and started to storm off toward the direction he came. As she stomped tears started to fall and her vision blurred as she moved.
"Fine," she wailed, "Fine."

"Fine!" Pipi called after Lala as she stormed off. She stayed exactly where she was, watching her go. There was nothing left to say right now, she had tried saying everything. Now she just had to decide what she would do. She could go and get their father, like she had said.. or she could do something about it herself. But for now, all she seemed capable of doing was watching Baridi'ini stomp away.
