"Leap? I fell actually. What is up must come down eventually. If not then birds would be extremely tired aall the time. Wouldn't you think so?" A voice coming from the direction of the grass said.

The broken hairbrush Theordac had tossed to the ground started smoking as it rolled. When it came to a stop, it popped, revealing the true location of the now fully sobered tanuki creature who was now appeared in a more presentable form. Humanoid, except for the tail, she was rosy cheeked, bright eyed, and not very furry. Although it was possible that she had hairy legs from lack of shaving underneath her stockings, but who knows the details really except Junyuu?

Junyuu was dressed in a burlap, much like her original form, except now she had a hood. Her clothes were very similar to what she actually was wearing. It was not much of an improvement as the craftmanship of her clothing was poor and ragged; perhaps in need of patching. She tilted her head, lifted her bare foot, and began nonchalantly scratching her fleas with her toenails.

Marcus, staring at the earth user, answers his question with this one phrase,"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."Then Marcus walked into Broken Corner, looking around a bit to see what happened here. Marcus muttering to himself,"I wonder what happened here, the place looks abandoned, maybe the cause is still here."

Theordac stared at the creature that resembled a human with a tail, well a poorly dressed human. He crossed his arms, and simply made a nod in her direction suggesting he agreed what she said, to at least a degree.

Theordac never took his eyes off the poorly dressed creature, he wasn't true trusting of anyone who used illusions or manipulated shadow, they were rarely trustable. Theordac put marcus' question to thought, but really had no answer
"This part of the city was like this on my arrival, if not economical downfall, i do not know." he suggest.
Theordac raised his eyebrow "prehaps the the dog knows" he said, indicating Junyuu with a simple finger point.

Theordac uncrossed his arms and leaned forward, putting his weight onto his staff. An interesting collecton of characters this turned out to be.

"...Eh-ko-noh-mick-downfall? Oh why um, sure. YES! That was probably it. I don't know really. Maybe. Why are you looking at me like that?" Her scratching slowed to a stop. It was fairly visible to see that her long toenails were encrusted with all manner of unknown filth.

As if having a thought that it was something to do with her improper hygiene, she started to chew her toenails off. A few of her teeth were crooked, like a child who had yet to grow new teeth. The nails on her slight hands were cleaner but that was because she barely had any, they were bitten down pretty far except for the pinkies that she used to open people's mail and pick earwax from her ear or other people's ears when they were sleeping. It made good material for presenting the illusion of scrambled eggs, breakfast in bed...

Junyuu was a creature who never stopped moving or fidgeting in some way, even when she was speaking or in the midst of company. Her face scrunched up from her busy toe-gnawing activity was particularly mischievous looking. This was not the face on wanted to see in a fragile antique shop. "I heard that this place was haunted. You know, I eavesdrop sometimes. On accident of course. There's ghosts here they say, but who died? Eh."

Theordac was continuously trying it apply his understanding of humans so the tailed humanoid but it only led to more confusion. It was like she had the body most resembling of a human, but the habits of an animal, including their lack of manners. He rubbed his chin, as he processed his thoughts.
"Most humans have grown out of the nail biting stage by your age" He said aloud,
"they also tend to be a little cleaner" he added soon after. In comparison Theordac could have been a king in terms of appearance to the poor creature. His cloak though simple appeared to be brand new, clean and undamaged, his long bears appeared tended to, and his nails on both his hands and feet at an expectable length and clean despite that fact he was wearing sandals.

Theordac straightened up, taking his weight off the staff. He walked over to Junyuu and poked her with the end of the staff with an uncomfortable amount of force behind it.
"What are you?" he asked the fur ball, his left eyebrow raised.

"By my age? Why of course-- because they'd be too dead to bite their nails. I, however, am quite alive." Being protected by an unseen layer of fat and fur, the poke made her giggle. It probably was jiggling too somewhere underneath. By touch, she was extremely soft like a plush toy filled with sand and fluff. She tittered between her sentences. "Tch-tch-tch! I agree though that I could use another dirt bath to keep the fleas and ticks at bay. Why, my hide is showing!"

She peered at a patch of skin on her hand where the layer of dirt on her body was thinning. Her rosy cheeks were also bare, as sweat had long since washed it from her face. Without so much as an ounce of shame she began inspecting her own body this way and that way, twisting, turning, and looking. The creature was stirring up a bit of dust as she moved. "Too much work. I think I'll... yes... this'll work..."

After licking her palms sloppily, she patted them into the dirt then smeared her hands over the places that were almost clean.

"Ohohohohohoho! I am a tanuki. How about you two? What manner of oddities are you? I've never seen such folks before. Or maybe I have. I have a terrible memory..."

Theordac found himself with more questions then answers, this Tanuki's english was so broken and scattered he could barely make out the key points of what she was trying to get across.
As the tailed humanoid began inspecting herself, Theordac had to raise an eyebrow. He found himself in surprise at how odd this young one acted.

Theordac both curious and in a mood of mischief, decided what this fur ball needed was a bath, he raised his staff above her head and the staff’s end unleashed several gallons of water within a few seconds, which would completely soak her, if she didn’t caught on. He then pulled back his staff and rested it at his side.

"I am Theordac, what manner of oddity i am is not important, I am strictly visiting here" He said as he looked up towards the sky, using the sun as a tool to judge the time of day.

With the tanuki asking him who he was, he would answer her question with what he says."I am just a traveler, my name is of no importance until then, I'm also here to investigate this area and the whereabouts of the civilians of the town."

Then all of a sudden, Junyuu was covered in mud and sitting in the mud. She had accumulated so much dirt in her life that it was enough to actually cause her to become filthier when in contact with water and create a puddle in which any pig would enjoy wallowing in on a hot day. Raising her body up from the puddle, she perched on her heels and leaned forward to vigorously shake the excess muck off of her body. In addition, as droplets of water and grime flew away from her, she shed a few colors. Apparently her hair wasn't supposed to be dirty blonde with bits of grass in it, it was dark, reddish brown. The burlap jumper she was wearing was darker at the moment but as the sun dried parts of it, it was also a lighter shade of brown. Beige perhaps.

"Blblblblblblblbl! If a lot of things are not important and or has no importance then what is? What does? Eh? Eh? If something isn't then something else is. Like food. Food is good. I'm hungry--what of you? It's important. Do either of you have any on you right now?"

In truth he was shocked at the amount of muck that such a small creature could accumulate, and as the shook like a dog, he raised his cloak so not to get covered in it himself. Which when he thought if threw was actually humorous on his part and kind of foolish, it seems human had worn off on him.
Theordac one again had to listen very closely to make sense of the craziness that came from the girl’s mouth, he swore he was only making out half of it.
Theordac shook his head, he never carried food, after all he didn't eat anything "Sorry i have nothing for you" he said with a shrug of his shoulders.

"We should get some food then. Eh? Eh? When everyone left, they didn't bring all their food with them. That was a while ago, so, if you see mold on anything you should cut it off then eat. But if the mold begs you to spare its life... then cut it off anyway. It probably tastes REEEALLY good." Junyuu said with conviction, as an animal and a scavenger, food was indeed important whether or not it was fresh off the vine. She straightened out on all fours and started off to the side, her damp and wet-smelling tail swinging low. The tanuki can usually walk on two legs and it was preferred, but somehow she had forgotten this detail so her almost bare knees were in the gravel. After two or two and a half of her four-legged stride, she noticed this and got up on two legs. Because her bare feet wore through the bottom of her stockings, her toes stuck out.

"In the same area as the tree there's a cellar. Sure it looks condemned, but there's half-full larders down there filled with random things. And barrels. And there's rats but they're not really food. I don't go there a lot because I stepped on a spider there once and it went squish."

Shaken and bedraggled, Freon shook himself awake. Things were dark around him, so he slowly manipulated his pupils into dilating to 5 times their normal size, allowing him to see his surroundings. He was slouched over a barrel, apparently. He read the label upside-down. Wine. 'How typical' he thought. Before pushing himself off the barrel, to land, 5 feet down, onto a sack of flour. He was in a cellar of some sort. He looked around. 'Quite a variety they have here.' He thought. He was just noticing the scope of the cellar he was in. "Jesus atheist CHRIST! Where did I end up this time? The storage facility of a run-down winery now? I really wish I knew how I ended up in these bizarre places. At least there aren't bodies with half their flesh missing all around the place...." He paused, looking towards where he woke up. "Note to self: Don't check inside that particular barrel of fermented grape juice." He shuddered, imagining its contents.

He got up, and dusted himself off. 'Clothes aren't nearly as ripped as the last time. Good sign.' He thought, as he walked around, searching for an exit. He found one, a near blinding shimmer of light going from the cracks in the cellar doors. He contracted his pupils into their normal size, and opened the cellar doors, stumbling a bit on the upper step. He caught his balance, and looked around at his surroundings. "Not familiar at all. Great. I guess I'll have to start over... again. Why does this ALWAYS happen to me?" He said to himself. He slumped against the wall next to him and began practicing his flesh manipulation on his right hand, elongating his nails, sharpening them, then retracting them into their normal form.

Theordac agreed with Junyuu, and showed it with a gentle nod, he walked behind her. "How long have you lived within these ruins" Theordac questioned as he did his best to keep up. Without resorting to a run, be blamed his walking stick, it didn't allow for quick moments. Theordac's eyes glanced over his surroundings, someone else was near. He could nearly taste the magic in the air. He brought his hand up and tapped it against his beard as he thought, it was a little perplexing to Theordac that he didn’t know of this wanderer either. Which led to one to 2 options, the person was either asleep or unconscious and therefore they would not have been using magic, or they are very good at concealing their magical signature. Theordac kept alert for this reason, after all these ruins appeared to be a host of strange creatures, himself included.

Freon's attention snapped to the couple of people walking. His ears extra sensitive due to his body manipulation. He quickly ordered himself into his normal form, and stood up. 'Two people... One notices me... the other... is... an unknown variable.' He thought to himself. He decided that nothing good would come from deceit, especially since he had been noticed. He walked in the direction of the strangers, unconsciously wrapping his fingernail around his left index finger. He noticed it, and slapped his hand, which clipped the fingernail down to normal size, the fingernail melting into his hand. He shuddered. "Damned powers. Never know what'll 'appen with them next." He grumbled. He walked until he was within sight of the two, and then slumped against a building's corner, and waved. "Hey mates, might'cha know where the bloody 'ell we be?" In a slow, british drawl.

Although Marcus was walking, he really didn't pay attention to what was happening until some wierd freaky looking thing showed up with some freaky eyes, yet it asked a question to where this place is."Here's your answer wierd ceature thing, I really don't know what this place is, it was called The Broken Corner for some reason, and there isn't any civilians here, so figuring what happened here is going to be very difficult, so what are you doing here?"
