"Oh..OH I am soo sorry!" She was taken aback, how could she have possibly known! "I...I'm sure she will show up soon." Baridi nodded and tried to show her best staying positive face. Oh,why did she have to ask, she felt horrible for asking.
"I'd love to meet your daughters... and I could keep and eye out," she nodded. "Are they nice like you? How old are they?" She felt foolish asking so many personal questions. Where had his mate gone? Was she running? Was she taken? Baridi hopped from foot to foot flicking specks off of her paws.

So much for staying positive. It was harder to do when acknowledging that someone so close to you was missing at a time like this. It was down right miserable, but he couldn't just hide away and mope. He had to try to find her and he had take care of Faaiza and Utamu in the meantime.
"They're still young, I guess, but they're getting close to the time when they'll be sent on name quests," he answered, not cheering himself up much knowing soon they would be gone away. Hopefully everything would be resolved before then and he wouldn't have to worry about them disappearing. As he understood it, they didn't get to say goodbye.. but surely the king would tell parents at a time like this? He couldn't let them thing their children had disappeared for something worse.
"This way," he murmured, turning around the way he had come to lead them back to the den. He was more comfortable like this, he hadn't gone far. He shouldn't go far.

Baridi'ini had never been on the naming quest, her life before coming to the pride was her quest for a name, Gebali had said his quest changed him. Was this new life different than the last? Baridi'ini didn't know it seemed only a little different..her name had change and surroundings, but she was still the same lioness she always ways, wasn't she?
She followed, not quite happily, but interested in meeting his daughters. "I'm sure they're lovely." She beamed behind him her face looking uneasy...hopefully he would find his mate soon, he did seem very nice and normal..and he was a Pridelander.
