Peter was nervous of what to say and it was getting darker as they spoke. He was silent for a minute before he whispered, "Peter." He cluched the jar to his chest, hoping that the boy wouldn't be so terribly cruel to him; he had enough of that in the years of schooling.

Kev was pretty bored by now and decided to wrap it up by winding back as far as he could and pouring on the heat for a final fast ball at the tree. The pitch was off of course because it was such an out of control throw from the get go and nicked the side of the tree and ricocheted wildly toward the metal slide of the park playground. When the ball hit the slide it clanged loudly and obnoxiously. "Whoops," Kev said and retrieved his ball. Kev jogged out of the park and just went straight home. He had already been the mall last night, so that wouldn't be any fun, and who goes to the library for thrills? So looks like it would be him, Annie, and Kev's vinyl records on the "antique" record player that his parents apparently left for him along with their album collection. 'Everything sounds better on vinyl.'

"Oh ok. I guess you're not in my class." Faolan said, smiling slightly. "My names Faolan. Fey-lin." he jumped as he heard something hit the metal slide, making him notice that the lights were almost all the way off. "Sorry kid, I gotta go. See ya," he said and took off running.
"Jasper!" he heard as soon as he entered the room. Oh great. Riley was pissed. She never used his real name when she was pissed. "I said when the lights were off, you were here!" "And I am!" he protested. "Look! It's just now dark."

As the lights went down, a single figure was briefly illuminated by the final strads of light. He was seated behind a massive desk in the uppermost part of The Lux. He was writing something, taking notes, and smoking. There was a hesitant knock at the door. "Come in." the man murmered. "Um sir.." the other man said, barely opening the door, and slipping into the room. "Yes Andrew what is it?" Andrew just stood there, fidgiting with his hands, and the man knew something was wrong. He didn't like newbies. This was Andrew's second year at The Lux, but his first working specifically for the man. "Andrew, get on with it. I've heard lots of bad things in my life." "Ah...well, sir, Summanus has failed."

Peter realized the lights were off. He swallowed a scream and ran from the park. His clumsy run led him along the street and he saw his nurse's figure standing in front of the house he lived in. "Claire!" He gasped, hugging her instantly.
"Oh, it's all right, Pete. Come on, dinner's ready." She smiled, leading him inside. After their dinner he walked to his room and added his new 'friend' to his others. Some of them were pinned to canvas' that was framed. He undressed and then dressed in pajama pants before falling on his bed, flipping on the mobile television, thin as a credit card.

"Oh Lucy I'm hooome!" Kev hollered in a fake, baritone voice. "I regret ever teaching you that joke," came the call from the kitchen, "Now get in here and help me with dinner." Kev chuckled and walked into the kitchen. Annie was not Kev's first nurse, which was why she was only 19. Kev's first nurse was an overweight, middle aged woman name Jenny, who had a heart attack last year. She lived through it, but the big men up top decided nursing was not the best job for Jenny and transferred her into the Lux and sent out a first timer nurse, Annie. After a year now, Annie and Kev seemed like they had known each other since the beginning. Annie was very relaxed, probably because she was still young, and her only "rule" was for Kev to keep the mess in his room and have the rest of the house spotless. Easy as 1, 2, 3. Otherwise, he stayed out as long as he wanted, could get away with murder as long as it didn't stain the carpet or wallpaper, and kept his room the way he wished. It was pretty much a roommate situation more than a nurse-to-child relationship. "Now be a doll and stir this pasta for me while I check the sauce and set the table," Annie said with a sweet, almost goofy smile. Kev grinned, rolled his eyes, and took the spoon from her. While he stirred, Kev listened to the television that was playing in the living room/dining room just a few feet away. "....and in Sports; Astros have a crushing defeat over the Galaxy 14 to 2 at the Mars City Sports Arena...." "Damn Astros," Kev spat.

Zak stayed on the roof a while more after the other kids had gone inside. He waited until he was sure he was alone, then climbed down from his rooftop and headed towards the park.

Storm had spent all day at home, in her room, completely bored. She couldn't even remember what she had been grounded for. Probably breking the broomstick swinging it around like a staff, again. She threw her stess ball on the bed and went down, figuring it was time for supper.

In the park, Zak retrieved his tools from where they were taped under a bench, and his bag of parts from the concealed hollow in the tree. Gear in hand he headed down to the pool. Slipping in through a hole in the fence that was out of the view of any of the security cameras, he made his way to an equally unobserved table and started laying out his tools and parts.

Falcon slowly made her way back to her house. It was small and a shade of light blue. she sat on her porch until the artificial stars came out and she went inside

Faoloan threw himself onto his bed after dinner, which consisted of steak and potatoes. He rolled onto his stomach, burying his face in his pillow. "Ahhhh!" he moaned. He was tired and he felt pathetic. "Really? I go outside once, and im gunna fall apart? Lame..." He heard a soft bell go off and he automatically reach out towards his beadside table, where a small screen was installed in the side. "Faolan. I've taken an intrest in you. Tomorrow I will be sending someone to your home. Please be ready by 3 a.m. Thank you." He sat up. "3?! What the HELL?!" he looked at the clock. It was 9. Faolan threw himself back onto his pillows and pulled the balnket over his head.

Dinner went as usual; How was your day?, Is that so?, Have you done something new with your hair?, Pasta's great, Comment on the news, Pretend to sneeze a spaghetti noodle out of nose, a kick from Annie under the table even though she's giggling, wash dishes, Good Night! Up in his room, Ken put his favorite record on his player; Escape by Journey. He threw off his shirt, flopped down in bed, and stared at the ceiling while he softly murmured the lyrics to the first song. "Just a small town girl.....Livin' in a lonely world....She took the midnight train goin' anywhere......"

Falcon goes to her blue bed after a strangely quiet dinner and lays down thinking of how boring this day is. But then she hears the message and she thinks to herself 'am i realy gonna wake up at 3 am just to see some strange person i dont even know?... Hell yeah!!!!' and she closes her eyes with a big smile across her face and slowly falls asleep

It was dark, and storm hated the dark. She went back inside, and went up to her room. There was a message on her screen installed by her bed."Storm." it said "I've taken an intrest in you. Tomorrow I will be sending someone to your home. Please be ready by 3 a.m. Thank you."
How odd, she thought.She went back downstairs to make her some supper, because her nanny had mysteriously dissapeared.
