* Takes place just a few days after Albin is brought home*
We need to get you some stuff kid.
It had been some time since Tal had carried a child on his shoulders, Zoe was too independent and too big and Pyran had been an adult for well over a hundred years. There had been the odd children of students and distant relatives at family reunions, but it wasn’t the same as far as the white haired man was concerned. It felt different, knowing the weight that literally rested upon his shoulders was that of a child he called his own, adopted or not. A quick lesson in how head wings were not handlebars had been required but now all was well.
On occasion little smoke rings would float in the air above him and drop down just as he walked through him. Tal wasn’t entirely sure why Albin did this but it wasn’t really hurting anyone so he let it go for the most part. Things would probably go smoother and faster if they both remained in good moods.
“What kind of clothes would you like?” The angel posed the question to his new child as they approached a section of the mall filled with rival store all advertising their own unique brand of clothing for the younger generation.

Albin tugged on his purple and green striped scarf, it was large and comfy and thus far the toddler hadn’t really been inclined to wear anything but it. Even the cold of the outdoors had been minimal to the young mixer child. Still, his large scarlet eyes looked around and after a minute he pointed to a store. There were lots of striped things there in colours Albin found appealing. “That store,” the boy paused for a second “Please.” Manners, Zoe said he must remember them even with family.
Pale wings twitching a little a few moments later Albin found himself inside the store in questions. For all that he wasn’t much interested in clothes he did find the stuff here kinda neat, hats and scarves and gloves and all sorts of clothes that were strange could be found here. It was sort of like at home where the part nightmare child had seen more different types of clothes in his few short days there than he had had in the whole mall so far and there were way more people at the mall. Well he thought so anyways, it wasn’t like he had the patience to count..not that he could count very high anyways, he was limited to hw many digits he had.

The pair moved from the clothing store into a child aged bed, bath and beyond. There Albion picked out a special towel for himself with bubbles on it and after a brief argument he and Tal compromised on what was acceptable bedding. Albin had wanted the pillows from one set, sheets from another and a big fluffy blanket from a third, not satisfied with all the items in each individual set. Unable to substitute from one set to another and unwilling to buy all three right then Tal had told Albin to pick his favorite set and that he’d replaced the unwanted items in time.
From bedding they’d moved onto a toy store where Albin grabbed a few things to play with and Tal made notes about what else caught his eye for Christmas.
When all the shopping was done Father and son had lunch in the food-court, bonding over gravy and cheese covered fries. All in all it was several hours well spent and both Albin and Tal were grinning when they finally left.
