Looking up at Kumoru, she eyes his hand before she nods. Taking it, she helps Bhel up as she stand "Resting sounds great right now. I was gonna head home, but I rather not be alone in my own apartment. Just in case Chaos decides it wants to attack again." giving his hand a gentle squeeze again, she looks down at her son.
Riddles to make the monster go away? She hadn't thought of it like that, maybe the papers were the key after all? Glancing back towards the building, she frowns before looking back towards the others "I think some catching up is in order."

"Buddy system like at school sounds good," Bhel agreed, hugging his mother again quickly after she stood up.
"Where is Mitsu, though?" he inquired after a minute, the thought striking him suddenly that someone was missing.
Kumoru released Aylana's hand once she was on her feet, and started to walk back in the direction of his house, stopping after a few steps to turn back and ensure that the two Fa'e were following. "Have you spoken with anyone else who has received any other sorts of riddles or clues like the ones you and Bhel got?" he asked.
But... perhaps the walk back should at least be left to relaxing, he decided as soon as he spoke the question. "Catching up would be good, as well," the necromancer added. "Bhel started school, as I guess you gathered. And I have a new job now, pushing paper for a doctor's office." Kumoru laughed once. "Nothing really too big, I suppose, until I was attacked in my sleep a few nights ago. But then that makes the boring days look that much more welcoming in a way."

Aylana looks down at Bhel, unsure how to answer the question. How was she suppose to tell er son, that she didn't know where his sister is? With a rather forced smile, she chuckles "I bet Mitsu at home sleeping. Like you should be, so you can go to school tomorrow." taking Bhel's hand into her own, she looks up at Kumoru.
"Pushing papers huh? Which Doctor?" she was curious if maybe he worked with her mother. Shaking her head she glances at the paper still in her hand "From what I have been told, each fa'e has one of these papers. And now I'm sure that each one has something different on it." she didn't really go into what she been doing since the last time they talked.
What could she say, other then she been staying home? Working on a dream that she wonder would ever come true?

"Okay," Bhel replied, almost completely lacking enthusiasm, as though the answer hardly satisfied him. He fell quiet for a bit then, and frowned, looking lost in thought.
"Working for an optometrist, actually, but I'm not fully sure how much longer it will last," Kumoru sighed. "He has plans to move, and far enough away that it would not be convenient to stick with him. I could probably go back to working at the used bookstore again, but that was only part time." He rubbed his eyes with one hand, then brushed his ponytail forward over his shoulder to play with the hair a little idly.
At the mention of the other clues, Kumoru looked over to Aylana again, raising an eyebrow. "Really? Do you know what any of the others say?" He put his hands to his hips as though feeling for something in his pocket; a frown tugged at one corner of his mouth as he remembered that he had not brought anything to write with or to write on with him - a rare thing, but he had half-expected to find fighting here instead. Then Kumoru remembered his cell phone had a sort of note function, and pulled it out and flipped it open.

Aylana shook her head before she lifts her free hand to her forehead "I wish I honestly could remember. I've seen a at least five today, if not more. But with everything going on. I just don't think I could restate them." frowning, she pulls out her own phone. Pulling her hand from Bhel's only for a moment, she takes a picture of her paper.
Putting the paper into her back pocket, she slips her hand back into Bhel's as she nods to Kumoru "Could you hold up Bhel's little riddle there. I want to take a picture of it. Myabe later I can figure it out. When my mind isn't going nuts."

"Oh, right, picture," Kumoru repeated, laughing once as he scrutinized the menu on his own cell for the camera function.
"Kumoru, let me do it," the boy insisted, reaching for the phone after a moment.
With a small shrug, the necromancer surrendered the phone and took out the scrap of paper again. He stopped walking and held it in both hands. "Let Bhel get yours when you're done, I guess. And can you send me the photos of the ones you already have, too? I guess the more minds we have working together, the better."
"How many is all of us?" Bhel then asked. "Is it a lot? 'cause that could be a lot of little riddles."

Aylana nods as she takes a picture of Bhel's riddle "Bhel sweetie, there is alot of us. Last time I checked. There was over forty of us, but who knows how. More and more keeping popping up." Pulling her own back out, she pauses as she phone goes off "Who...?" she blinks as she hits the button to read the message. Lenore Silme-Natenhar Sender: Nyoka Recipients: Aylana IC Timestamp: After the dream Type of text: Text Text contents: Told you I would let you know when I knew. Mum's dead, found her. Gotta tell Casnes, don't know how. Waiting to tell Rinion, he's got enough to deal with. Aylana didn't speak, in fact she didn't move at all. She just stood there staring at the phone. Her eyes glisten before the tears slowly run down her cheeks. This couldn't be happening, it just couldn't be. "No....."

Bhel reached for Aylana's cell phone with the hand that was not already holding Kumoru's. "What is it, Mom?" She was crying again, and it made the worried feeling come back in the young bull's stomach.
"Aylana...?" Kumoru murmured, stepping closer but making no effort to see the screen of the phone. He was about to ask if everything was alright, but the look on the Fa'e woman's face was enough of an answer.
Something was definitely wrong. Again. It was staring to make Bhel angry. No one could touch the goop that covered the headquarters -- that was like cheating! Why did they have to figure out little riddles like at school to stop the monster? Bhel was no good at those anyway!
"What happened?" he asked again more firmly, though the tone was more to vent his frustration than speed up the response. Bhel started to pout angrily, thrust the phone back at Kumoru as he clenched his other fist.

Aylana couldn't talk, she didn't trust her voice at the moment. What she did though was turn towards Kumoru, her arms wrapping around his neck. Her face was hidden as she let the tears fall. Her head was shaking, and she just kept whispering "No" over and over again.
Not her aunt, no not Aunt Lenore. It she was dead...
Gasping, she pulls back from Kumoru as she covers her mouth. The clothes, the reason her sister was wearing clothes. The gloves, she didn't realize it until that very moment.
She didn't realize it, but she slide to the ground. Her hand clenching the bracelet on her wrist. Holding onto the snake charm so hard, it was digging just alittle into the palm of her hand.
"My Aunt....she dead....and I might lose my best friend....."
Looking up, the tears continue to run down her face. Trying to take a steady breath, she refuse to breakdown. She couldn't. Not completely in front of Bhel, she had to be the strong mother.
"I...need to lay down..."

Kumoru stood still, his eyes widening a little, as Aylana wrapped her arms around him. Then, after a moment, he held her in return, but not tightly enough that she could not get away when she did step back. At her words, he opened his mouth, but no words came for a long moment.
Then, his eyes flashed a little and he started to ask, "How long ago did she die, if you know? And where? If I could still snare her soul, I have spells, I could try to put it back into her body!" The necromancer brushed his fingers through Aylana's dark curls and continued in a suddenly hushed voice. "If we can heal her body, then restore her soul to her, it will bring her back. That is just the sort of research I have been working on all this time. I- I've never done it before, but I can try?" His chance to set things right, to prove that his art was not purely an evil one!
Death.... Bhel had never really seen it before. Not among people. His mother's upset stung him and he found himself not at all sure what to do. He put one hand to his mouth as well, and grasped for Aylana's with the other, and sniffled.
"Did the Chaos do it?" he asked after a moment, his voice barely a whisper.

Aylana shook her head, as her eyes remain focus on Kumoru. She was trying to figure out what he was say, until it finally clicked in her head. Closing her eyes, she takes in a slow breath "That pain....the one I felt. We won't be able to save her Kumoru...it happen the same night you were attacked." opening her eyes slowly, she tilts her head towards his hand. Lifting her hand, she place it in his before she squeezes it "Can we hurry to your place? Please?"
Looking down at her son, Aylana squeezes his hand as she attempts to put on a smile "Everything going to be okay. Mommy just really tired, so I'm emotionally out of it. That all Bhel." she wouldn't breakdown, she couldn't.

"... If you say so," Bhel replied, still confused and worried. He let go of his mother's hand for a moment and ducked under her arm before clasping her hand in his again. The young bull was on the taller end of average for his age, but it would have been a bit awkward for Aylana to lean her weight on him. She was being strong, so he would be strong, too. Teshub had showed him that he could be extremely strong if he needed to be.
Kumoru also remained close to Aylana, keeping one arm around her waist as they continued walking back to his house. "How do you know it will not work before we try?" he insisted as he hurried Aylana as well as he felt she could move quickly. Between her son and the necromancer, the Fa'e lady would have not likely been in danger of falling and hitting the ground, but Kumoru also tried to remember not to rush her too much. As she said, she was drained.
And the mage was feeling that way, too. Part of him knew that Aylana was right, that he may not be of any use at all in reviving her dear aunt. It made him angry. "What else can I do, then?"

Aylana shook her head before she looks to Kumoru, her eyes held a pleading for a moment. She didn't want to think at the moment, she just wanted to rest "Think we could have some tea? Maybe something to eat? I can make you two food if you want." anything to just feel like she was stable. That her life hadn't completely flipped on her.
Aylana smiles again at Bhel, before she attempts to laugh. It came out more like a force more, then her natural laugh "How about some cookies for you? I could make a batch real quick."

Kumoru listened to Aylana's words ... and the tension of anger left him with a sigh. She was right - what she needed right now was rest, not revenge yet. There would be time for that later. Home had Lucretia, as well, soul-bound to guard the place against intruders. They needed to be safe first and foremost. He could look through his spellbooks for possible ways to quell the Chaos once Aylana was seated and fed and rested.
"You did just say you needed to lie down," he chided her gently. "I can toss a pizza in the oven or something, no need to strain yourself cooking. And we still have some Halloween cookies, too, I believe, unless Jilan ate them all."
Bhel briefly considered the possibility that his strange brother may have eliminated the cookie supply. "When you feel better, though, you can make more cookies," he informed his mother.

Aylana tries her best to smile, just for them both. But she couldn't as she just rest her head against Kumoru's shoulder. Her eyes were close for a moment, as she sighs. She knew she wouldn't be sleeping, even though she said she would be. She couldn't, not while the others were out there.
Sitting though, and just being with her son. She needed that for now. Even if her heart was screaming in pain. Where was her daughter? Where was Mitsu?
