HanGeng laughed and nodded his head a few times. "It is a very comfortable den, I take good care of it, and it was dug with all of my effort."
He could see why Haku wanted him to take care of this pup, she was cute and eager to learn. Perhaps she could be very good for this pack, they needed a bit of extra help these days, with some of the appointed rank slacking off. Haku had a lot of weight on his shoulders, a lot he still had to take care of alone.
"Defensive skills are quiet important." He nodded his head as he moved off, heading for a small clearing not too far away. He didn't want to bother Reaction, or the two that she was taking care of. Once they made it there, he turned around and smiled down at the young female.
"You want to make sure that you can dodge, block and overpower your enemies. Now. Try attacking me, and I will dodge to show you what it looks like."
Though the female was sure to have a slight advantage due to being young and fast, he was very skilled at this sort of thing.

Macha stared at the male silently, he did not really answer her question and she opened her mouth to demand one, but he turned on her and walk away, she mumbled to herself a bit and picked herself up and trotted behind the grey male. She tilted her head to the right, almost unbalancing herself, to try and correct herself she jumped slightly, side steping to the right and staring up at HanGeng's flank. He had some funny markings, the one on his hind quarters interested her, it looked like a lizard she once saw basking in the sun in mid-summer.
Again she nearly ran into the back legs of the adult wolf leading her, lost in her own world and not totally concentrating She berated herself for this, thinking what if she was still alone, she would not behave in such a lazy manner, only relying on herself and her senses. HanGeng turned about and smiled down at her, something about his smile made her smile in return and sudden frown formed, why did he have this effect on her, she questioned herself.
Her eyes opened wider with the announcement of what he wanted her to do. She stared at him, he was more than twice her size if not more, she didn't stand a chance at getting anywhere near him. She wouldn't even think about attacking something as large as him when by herself. Though she would do as she was told, even if she did hesitate at first. Though after taking him in and considering his words, a look of utter concentration came over her and her eyes narrowed and focused. She dashed towards him, straight as an arrow and then suddenly side stepped to the left, running straight again and then back to centre and sprung from the ground and aimed to grab hold of his throat.
Her thinking was that she'd not of stood a chance at bringing him down by any means, nipping and biting at his legs would of only annoyed him and got her know where. So she risked it all on just lunging for a final blow first off.

In one swift movement, HanGeng bowed and twisted his head so that the female would not be able to latch to his throat with the final blow she had attempted.
He tilted his head to look at her, a wolfish grin on his face. "You are quite good at striking." It was a compliment, as he had not seen a pup of her youth be able to attempt such a blow. Still, there was much to learn. By the time the two of them were finished, Macha would be a very skilled fighter, and no one would keep the upper hand on her for long.
She would be his prodigy.
"You must focus even deeper. Try to read the mind of the one you are fighting. Feel the same feelings they do. Once you are able to predict their movement, you can strike a blow in the correct direction, making it impossible for them to dodge." He sniffed the ground a little before giving a smile.
"If your heart beats as one with any enemy, you will have the upper hand. It raises your intuition. There is already a voice in the back of your head that will tell you what to do. The key is becoming intune to it.. Trusting yourself."

HanGeng ducked and twisted his head and neck, a slight shift of his shoulders and he avoided her. She flew passed his front half before her fore paws touched back down to the ground, soon followed by her hind legs, she tensed her forelegs to stop her forward momentum and skidded to a halt. She looked up, at nothing by the surrounding trees and then frown, turning about to star back up at HanGeng; how did he do that?
She stared up at amazement; he hadn't even moved his paws, he'd just simply twisted slightly to avoid her. Her frown deepened, though it soon vanished as he complimented her but it soon returned. 'Quite good' she wanted to be more than quite good, so wanted to be the best he had ever known. She listened carefully to the tuition of words which followed and she absorbed them and then concentrated, focusing on thinking what he had just done, replaying the motions in her mind. She could do that all right, though the voice he spoke of was only a whisper. She wanted to growl in frustration, why could she not hear it?
She looked up at her teacher, endless black eyes almost pleading but her pride denied her from asking. 'I will learn, I promise.' She smiled at him then and threatened playfully, 'The you'd better watch out.'

HanGeng was amused as he watched the female. She was talented, and he had no doubt that with a guiding paw, she would be a very skilled fighter indeed. As long as it was never used against him, he wouldn't have a problem with it.
When he heard the words that left her, he had to grin and nod his head a few times. "I have no doubt in you, young warrior." He nudged her softly with his nose in a playful manner before taking a step back. "You will make us all very proud." There was another nod of his head then, showing that his words were from his heart and he was not making them up.
"We must strengthen your inner voice. This is done through training, sometimes it gets difficult but I will not allow you to quit no matter what, Macha. But I'm going to need you to trust me."

Macha though impatience, hungering for knowledge and physical skills, was also good at listening when she knew something could be learnt from the conversation or lecture. So she listened to HanGeng’s words carefully before smiling up at him again and demanding, ‘Can we practice and train some more now?’ Endless eyes peered up at him, she stood with a slight bend in her knees and ready to spring in any direction should he command something else of her, to start another series of exercises.
The fact that she had already spent most of her energy catching the rabbit earlier in the day, her meeting with Haku and now here with HenGeng did not faze her. She was young and full of ‘go’ always eager and always willing. Though as was characteristic with Macha, she took the words of others in but reacted before having really absorbed then and after a brief moment of declaring her wish to carry on with more training she cocked her head to one side and a small curious frown formed, ‘Trust you… why what are you going to do?’ Macha wasn’t unwilling to give HanGeng her trust, he seemed trustworthy enough and had yet to have given her reason not too but her comment sprouted from the curiosity of as to why he would need it, what was it he was going to do that demanded it?
