Yeah I'm on EST. I'm in Connecticut. Never had super natural things happen to me. Probably because anything that might be considered super natural, I'd explain away with science. What can I say, I'm just not much of a believer.
Oh man! Cutest trick or treaters! We had one girl who my mom saw and was like, "Oh look! And a princess!" and she said all pouty and sad, "I'm not a princess. I'm a diva and Hannah Montana." and sulked away. lol We also had a tiny tiny spider man who wanted "this one. And this one." and his mom yelled at him and made him put the third one back. (mom said he was so cute she'd have let him had them all!)

Lol cute. I guess around here people go trick-or-treating mostly at the mall. Yama explained that its too dangerous to go door to door in a city and I guess it makes sense. 3nodding

Yes, I liked all of them. sweatdrop I couldn't even vote. Oh well. I think it was hard for everyone and I congratulate those who made up their minds in the end.
But yes! I closed the poll at 5 because it was pushing back other voting and I didn't think we'd be able to make it up to 10. We only had one person enter the tektek version of the contest so YamaxChan won by default... Hurray!~ Haha. biggrin I may close this contest at 5 votes too, but I"m not sure yet. We'll have to see how the voting goes. 3nodding

My mom has a good method to carving pumpkins. She starts by using scrap paper to decide what to carve, then draws it on her pumpkin. Then you just follow the lines! (I usually x or squiggle in the parts that get cut out so I don't accidentally cut out the wrong part.) It also helps to have a good knife. My mom made her own carving knives out of wooden dowels with small saw blades in them. The blade isn't sharp, but it cuts through the pumpkin really well and you don't have to worry about slipping and cutting the wrong part (or yourself!).

LOL. I'm not good at carving pumpkins either. I always make a ton of mistakes. I wish I was as talented as some people who can do really creative stuff, but I'd need to take a class or something in order to get that good - or insane amounts of practicing. It also helps too when I use my ceramic tools. At least they are still useful even though I'm no longer in ceramics! xd

I don't understand why people aren't participating more in this event since a lot of people wanted it.
I'm sorry you had to work so hard Chloie. I'm sure the people that did participate had fun at least! :3

Well, I enjoyed it! Perhaps for other holidays we should get started a little earlier? Perhaps people just didn't know and have time since it all happened in a few days. I think with a little extra time we could have a rather smashing event! I'll try to help out with Christmas if we do an event then!

Hmm, perhaps people got busier closer to the holiday and couldn't get online. : / Either that or their lives were taken up by the Gaian event. Through my experience in other guilds, it may help if we start event celebrations at the beginning of the week of, since that will give people enough time to figure out what they are doing. Also, reminding members of the event through guild announcements would probably be effective as well. Oh, and maybe the prizes weren't enticing enough? I thought they were good, but maybe some people prefer a certain item, like a monthly collectible or so. What do you all think?

I feel like Miss Chloie didn't really have enough time to throw something together - and what she did throw together was awesome! Also, people wanted it in Guild only which cut down our possible recruiting and outside member participation.
There will be a Christmas event. My hope is to have something for 7 days. I think also to we should possibly expand and use it to advertise for the guild, and have a guild specific event for members only.
I will donate a couple monthly items possibly for the Christmas event. By doing this Miss Chloie will have enough time to get everything set up, we will have a broader spectrum and "better" prizes. And maybe we can get some new members! What do you guys think? :3

I agree. There should be a guild only event as well as an advertising event. I can also donate some thankyou letters!
