MasterMion Honestly, my boyfriend were talking about this. We both think that Sakura's a huge b**** for saying that Naruto---not like she wasn't a huge b**** before. But anyway, it's horrible how she's fooling herself and lying to Naruto-of all people; what a dumba**-about how she's in love. She's using him, and I guess he's just gotten sick of her rejecting him all the time. Come on, root for NaruHina!! Hinata loves Naruto from the bottom of her heart and always has, unlike someone else... *points to Sakura* BTW, I also agree with Akeioni's comment about Lee's reaction to all of this; it so was absolutely PRICELESS. xD YES! LOL.

The point of female ninja (kunoichi) is to manipulate and deceive, and Sakura was trying to deceive Naruto into thinking she liked him back romantically so he would come back to Konoha with her so he would be out of harms way.
If anyone has been reading the manga, they know that Naruto is the vessel for the 9 tail fox demon?

The Akatsuki wants him for this reason, to take said fox demon and ultimately kill him in the process. Sakura cared enough to make a plan that would sacrifice her own feelings for Sasuke to try and get Naruto to safety.
To break it down for you people, Sakura was thinking that if Naruto is out chasing after Sasuke because of the promise he made (of his own free will) to her and got hurt or killed, she would be heartbroken because HE IS ONE OF HER BEST FRIENDS.
Now shut up, sit down and read the whole story and look at the facts before coming out of your face with made up opinions to suit your personal hate for a character trying to help the people she is closest to. scream

I think sakura was trying to convince naruto, like u said, to be safe. and in the process, she accidentally got a little to far into and started to momentarily believe she actually doesn't love sasuke anymore. so, in this moment of anger, she made a rash decision to go try and find sasuke and verbally/physically get him to stop himself, but she's going to realize that deep down she still cares for sasuke deeply and she can't see him hurt anyone, especially naruto, because she knows they're are, or should be, as close as brothers. also, sakura was completely lying about the whole -oh i don't care about sasuke blah blah blah- thing because remember the thunder village chick? there is no way sakura could change her heart so quickly. from what we know of sakura, she's not that flaky. aaaaand back on the subject of the shonen/shojo thing, i think ur right. if someone gets together, they'll kiss, and then it'll time skip.

Look at his face at the bottom; he was so surprised! Then he got so mad when she was hit by Pain that he went 4 tails. This doesn't solidify anything between them, we will just have to see if she confronts him/if he confronts her when he comes back to Konooha I guess. When Sakura said she loved him (as a lie) he had a similar surprised face, but then he almost imminently questions her feelings for him. He's definitely wised up over the chapters, and thats the beauty of this manga, a lot of the characters are constantly evolving emotionally Sakura and Naruto are good examples of this. Sasuke I would personally have to do a bit more research on though, preferably nekkid research :B

Sasuke I would personally have to do a bit more research on though, preferably nekkid research :B ya, i cosplayed sakura last time i went to a con and people kept saying stuff like "ur useless!! go away!!" though it was kinda funny, cuz this one sasori was like "u killled me, u b**ch!!" and he was chasing me around. anyway. lol on the sasuke thing XD. sasuke doesn't seem to have gained much new insight, but i think that's because his character was already mature from the beginning. however, someone needs to just slap sasuke really hard in the face (lol sakura ;D) and be like "what are you doing?!?!? go back to the village!!" he seems to be twisting people's words to fit not going back to konoha. maybe he's doing that purposely, who knows.
