Our band doesn't have a set motto. We have all kinds of sayings, but there is one that I always keep on mind.

Probably, "We're kind of a big deal." But our band director is leaving this summer, so we have no idea what's gonna happen :/

Are official motto is: 'The Band that Dares to be Different".
My band direction likes to say: 'Music is born of silence, not extracted from noise' mostly because some people won't shut up until we're on the third beat of the song.

We have many types of mottos but one that I thought was hilarious when told by a brass instructor was "Piss excellence!" rofl His whole speech was about doing your best and waking up in the morning and to only piss excellence. Another one would be about always coming early. "Early is on time, On time is late, and Late is rude!"

As for drumline... we put our hands together and yell "Hulk Hogan"...No clue for this year

At the end of Rehearsels and Shows we yell (or whisper) PHOENIX PRIDE!. Don't crap on the line, and the brass section yells "4", on 3.
1, 2, 3....4!

I don't know what our OFFICIAL motto is, but I know the unofficial one is either "it's more fun NOT to suck" or "Don't be stupid". Kind of love our staffers.
