Misha smiled warmly at the little thing's response. "It's not that document that seals you together, you know... Whether he likes it or not, you belong with him, contract or not. But it's good that he accepts that, yes." he chuckled. It would've indeed been quite upsetting if he'd been reluctant to admit he wouldn't be seperated from them again. For a moment he felt the rge to pick Rahk up and pet it, but... was that alright, manhandling it like that? Instead he just held out his hand a little, inviting it to hop on, if it wanted to.

"Ah? Oh, that'd be nice, thanks." he looked up at Astan then, again smiling pleasantly. Heehee, much to learn in such a short time, hmm. You're handling it alright, I guess. Oh, still have questions?

"Sure you can... Not that how it happened for me has to be anything like it will be for them two.
" he ended up sitting down on the floor right where he was, feeling oddly cosy and forgetting his manners for a bit.
"When we first emerge from our Sparks we're generally pretty blank. All new. Then we get time to learn more about the world, and get to know the people we're bonded to. Then there's the thing wih influences... Humans tend to pick up stuff as they go and adapt to certain types of behaviour and culture and the like, but we seem to take 'influence' quite literally." he told him.
"Me for example, I.. err... I was rather 'impressed' by an avalanche of bunnies one day. I picked up their influence before I knew it, and that's why I'm like this now." he gave his ears a stroke and laid them over his chest, careful with the injured one. "It really depends on who you're dealing with... my brother Aoi picked up a lot of flowery influences because he lives at a nursery, and his father is aplant all on his own. And Rhian-sister had a thing with cotton candy." he cuckled. "There's really no telling how we turn out."

Rahk wasn't really one for physical contact, but Misha was its brother and they had only just met. Now was not the time to be standoffish. It climbed onto Misha's palm and dropped to a seated position. The bunny's hands were understandably smaller than Astan's, and it didn't want to fall off. "I suppose..." it said, as if it truly believed Astan was too stupid to acknowledge their connection without a contract. Of course, it didn't really think so, Rahk just had an overdeveloped sense of sarcasm.

Astan stood once more and made his way to the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator and examined his beverage selection. "Soda or... water," he offered. It seemed he didn't have all that much in the way of drinks after all. He closed the fridge until it was only open a finger's width and turned to Misha again. "Ah." Well, if that was the way it was gonna be, he would have to make sure the protos didn't hang out with stupid things. A part of him was suddenly grateful that the band had broken up. "Cool. Good to know." He eyed Misha's ear, but didn't say anything about the bandage. He supposed Essentics couldn't be protected all the time, especially when they were as large as humans.

Oh, no worries little one, this bunbuns had handled small things before. Like half a tonne of kittens, only he knew Rahk was no kitten. On one hand that meant less accidental clawsies, but on the other more independent movement. You could always squish a kitten a little if it tried to squirm out of your grasp, but Misha'd never squish a sibling, that'd be baw. He did chuckle at that rather blunt acknowledgment of his previous explanation. Teehee, smartass you.

"Ah, water's fine, thank you."
he quipped at Astan's offer cheerfully, getting up and making sure the little proto wouldn't fall off. "I won't be staying much longer, I still have stuff to do and all, and I'm sure you do, too." he grinned. "And if you don't mind, I want to tell my brother aaaaall about you two. And about you as well." from the twins he looked back at Astan then. Why yes, that's the rabbit's priorities. Don't be offended big dude, he doesn't actually think you're just their extension.

He had caught the man's look at his ear, but just as Astan had chosen not to ask, he didn't seem very pressured to tell him about it either.

Astan nodded and got out a clean glass, filling it and bringing it to Misha as Rahk continued chatting.

"We would like to meet our flower brother and cotton candy sister," it said, addressing the bunny as well as informing Astan. "Is there a time when you gather together to visit?"

Astan chuckled. "I'm sure you'll meet them soon enough," he said. It wasn't like he planned to parade the pair all over town, but if their ability to identify Misha as one of their own before he had even entered the apartment was any indication, they'd be finding their siblings all on their own before he knew it.

"Oh, we don't really go around meeting each other often.. Ziazan lives with Rhian, because their people are married and have little babies now, and Lauss is very closeby too, now. I live with Aoi, sort of... Uzi's quite far away from here usually, and I don't think I met many of the others so far." the messenger explained, by-the-side taking the glass of water from Astan with a small thank-you.
"I did meet Crux a long time ago, it's likely that he grew more already, and I keep missing Orpheus somehow." Doink, that happens when working hours are such a pain.

"I'm sure I could try to get you to meet them sometime though, part of out err... hah, 'service' is helping us get in touch." Boy, was it ever awkward to consider the fact they existed to be quite so 'merchandise'-driven. He hadn't thought of himself as such a 'thing' in quite a long time now, adn the realisation made him pull off quite the odd face. Wot.

Rahk's attention was easily held as Misha spoke of the twins' extended family. Even Ro, busy with Astan's hair, asked to be brought closer with a tap to the man's ear and an extended, pointing finger. He obliged, approaching Misha and his water again. Astan lifted Ro from his shoulder and held it in his hands again, extending his arms forward a bit. It might have looked a little silly, but Astan didn't care so much.

"Everyone sounds... busy," he said distractedly. Misha might have been turned off by the reminder that he had initially been created as a tool, but surely the fact that they all were doing more than just sitting around indicated that the Essentics were needed.

"Busy is good, busy's fine... mostly." Again, such an oddity he felt. On the job he felt like he had a proper place to be in the world, somthing to do, something he was fit for doing. Acoording to Timka that was unatturally convenient, and she found it creepy that they were so inflexible on it, too. Once bound to a Purpose essentics could of course learn more than what they had the natural ability and potential for, but if they were prohibited from executing their one true purpose... Brr.

"I get a lot of work but I really love doing it. I know .. err... humans aren't made with a defined purpose, it must be so strange to not know where you'll end up." he looked up at Astan, past Ro. "But at least you have all options open...?" Ooooh watch that caramel gaze turn all serious. Perceptive messenger is perceptive. You're a little lost, aren't you? Don't despair, you'll find your place I'm sure. :<

Hmm. Yes. All options might be open, but if you lack the aptitude for or desire to pursue any of them... Perceptive messenger is very perceptive. "Yeah, I guess." Suddenly Astan was jealous of the Essentic that stood in front of him. If he himself only ever had one thing he had to do for the rest of his life in order to be happy, maybe he would be. Unless Essentics lived forever. That might get kind of boring.

Astan cleared his throat a bit, Ro still dangling in his arms. "I don't want to keep you," he said in a rush. "You said you have things to do?" And you're a nice guy and have helped me to feel less crazy, but now I'm sort of uncomfortable about my life.

Yoho, and here we have item number five on the list of why mankind turned itself against the Essentic population! Sheer one-sided envy, yep. So easy to think 'the other way' is so convenient, but every plus has its minus.

"Ah, I do, yes." his ears drooped slightly, getting this feeling he might have overstepped a boundary somewhere along the line. He hadn't meant to be awkward, really. Maybe it was just Rhian and Aoi rubbing off on him.

He got off the floor then, standing up and straightening. "I hope this wasn't too weird... "

"Oh no," Astan said. "You coming here was fine. Completely normal compared to when I found these two." He smiled briefly. "It's me." He didn't elaborate. "Come back again whenever you want," he added. This time his grin was larger and lasted longer. Someday he would be his old cheerful self again, but that day hadn't quite arrived. "Bring anyone you like."

"You okay getting... home?" Well, obviously he had gotten here, hadn't he? Astan was on the verge of a facepalm when Rahk stepped in.

"You will come back soon, Misha," it insisted, moving closer to Astan's feet. The man crouched for a moment, depositing Ro next to its sibling.

"Bring someone..." that suggestion made the messenger grin quite giddily. It was strange how odd that sounded, despite the sheer normality of it. "Maybe I will."

"Ah, sure, I know my way around very well." With that he tried to at least quell any rising worries, while not making a point of boasting about his factual ability. Sure, he could outrun a car if he had to, he had every map ever drawn interlocked into his internal GPS and all that, but surely that wasn't soemthing to be all proud about, let alone mention, teehee.

When Rahk so boldly spoke to him, even if he had almost gotten used to it, her matter-of-fact way of putting it made him smile.

"Aye, captain." he chuckled. "I'll do my best. Take care you three, hm." And then, one rather silly salutation later, he had wandered down the hall, and popped down the stairs. From the sound of it, he was going pretty fast.

Take care hmm, take care.
