Max yelped and stumbled backwards as the girl woke so suddenly, and almost ran at the sight of her glowing green eyes. The ominous words she whispered didn't help, either. What was the darkness she was talking about? Who was the light? His voiceless questions were forgotten as she yawned, and something his eyes couldn't quite see escaped to the sky.
His confused doubled as the girl now started crying, and apologizing to someone who wasn't there. After a moment he cautiously asked, "Too late for what?"

Elm crumples backward, the gag (a loose fit) falling from his mouth. He looked up at the man and his undead pets, trying to regain focus. He managed to speak. "I- I don't know what you mean." He coughed, and felt a dull pain run through his chest. Yes, he had seen the girl on the ground, and the bodies scattered across the woods. The sight of them would have terrified any other twelve-year-old, but Elm was not easily frightened, after his father's training.

Trinity thought she was by herself. Then when she heard that question she stopped breathed deeply and answers "to put a stop to this..". As she answers she turns slowly to the young man who asked the question. She almost didn't want to show herself for she was a mess covered in dust dirt and rags. Not a way to make a first impression "Who, who are you? What do you want?" although in no shape to fight she took a defensive stance.

Max looked around, now noticing the destruction. He'd been too focused on her to see it before, but now he wondered how he missed it. What could have caused all this, and how could this girl have stopped it? He leaned back and help up his hands away from what few weapons he had. "I am Max, and I mean you no harm. I was merely traveling here because I was told some one here could help me, but I guess there's no longer any help to be found. What is your name? And are you okay?"

Elm trembled in the hands of his apparently capable captor, afraid to speak but even more afraid to remain silence... it was a dilemma for anyone. He wiggled his hands, trying to loosen his bonds. " What do you want with me?" He asked his captor. --- A weird song that came to mind when I thought of Elm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCY9wYNkgxY And another song from a band that I love immensely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7v6lGru95Y

Trinity was glad she wasn't in further danger. She let go of her defensive stance but not her guard, as she was once captain of the Royal Guard she rarely let down her guard. Even though Max is not her main concern there's always the possibility that "someone followed him here" or "someone sent him here". These thoughts made it hard for her to trust anyone, especially now. "I am Trinity," she sniffs and wipes her eyes,"I think my wounds could use some medical attention *sniff* but *sniff* other then that... I'm..." her eyes began to well up again. She couldn't say it because in her mind it felt like everything fell apart. She didn't like people seeing her like this she felt that it made her look weak, she turned away from Max hiding her tears. Even admitting that she may need medical treatment, she could treat her own wounds if she needed to but she admitted that she could use some medical treatment because the resources around her right now are well completely scarce. Besides she had not seen a doctor in a while she could use a check up and she did endure a fierce battle she may have more injuries then she thought.

Max felt more than a little awkward being around someone he didn't know while they were crying, but he stayed quiet and gave her some space, waiting a moment before saying; "There was a town not too far from here, if you can travel we could go there and get you some help."

Elizabeth watched in horror as the destruction of her home began, a man dressed in gody clad colored clothing rot forth the dead to live, causing them to attack and destroy anything living around them, sadly for Liza, she was living, so the sixteen year old stood to her full height of 5'2. Her auburn red hair falling well past her slender white clothed waist. She had to flea from this area, and flea from it quickly.
Her blue eyes surveyed the area the best she could, she grabbed a few belongings, a few dresses to change into once her trip was complete, a brush for her soft hair, along with a few ties and jewels to help add the elegant look she held way to oftan. Sure, she wasn't royalty, but she was of noble blood. She then tied all the garments and belongings together, placing them in a burlap sack.
Elizabeth made her way down the stairs of her home, quick to pick up her orange and white tabby kitten, he did no one any harm, so why should he be left in this mess? As she turned the corner, she saw her mother and father both laid out in the floor, neither one held any color, besides their own blood stains. She felt tears threaten her pretty blues, but she couldn't let them fall, not now. She had to run now, her mother had said that if this day was to come -how she knew it would come was beyond Liza.- she was to run into the forest until things have settled, then she may return to seek answers. "I don't want answers." Liza said to herself in a sweet sing song voice as she quickly made a dash out the door.
The small girl made her trip as discretely as possible, avoiding any of the walking dead that she could. It was sickening to her to think that someone would toy with the dead in such a way, her sandaled foot fall barely audible to anyone but herself. Then she made it, safely out of the destroyed city, and into the safety of the forest walls. The tiny teenager watched in horror as her home was destroyed. Darkness had seemed to of just taken over. Then, the reality of it all hit her, and she collapsed against the forest floor, her tears falling far to quickly for anyone to stop.

Trinity clears her eyes again and tried to steady her breathing, " I'm sorry I never cried so much. Yes, going to that town sound like a good idea. I could use all the help I could get right now. You mentioned you were out here seeking help. What do you need help with? If you don't mind my asking.". She picks up her sword and shield as she waited for an answer.

Max was glad the older girl was able to bring herself together, he hated to hear crying. At her question he looked about the grim scene around them, it was his turn to hide his expression. "I was hoping to find someone here. Now, I pray she is no where near." His hand tightened around the wooden flute, hoping that it would somehow make his prayer come true.

"So, which way is this town?" Trinity asks wanting to get started and move away from here. Nothing further could be done here... it only reeks of death of destruction and the more she can move on from this the more she can stable herself again.

The music. Elm could hear it. He swayed to it softly, on the forest floor. His captor was nowhere to be found. He kept swaying once it was over. Because it got him thinkng: Am I as deep in the woods as I thought? And he took a chance. He yelled as loud as he could muster: "Help!"

"This way." Max said as he started walking back the way he came. He was glad to be going away from the ruins behind them, and his mind turned to thoughts of the girl now following him. How had she survived when it seemed as if no one else did? He wanted to ask her, but knew what happened when someone was asked about a traumatic event. He was young, though, and his curiosity got the better of him. "What happened back there? What caused all of that?"

Elizabeth heard the sudden cry for help. It sounded distant, but still in the same forest in which she resided. The red head quickly got to her feet, wiping her tears from her eyes, right now wasn't the time to grieve, she would have that chance later on. So, she put a stern face on, brushing stray strands of red out of her tear stricken face and began to try to find the source of the voice that had called for help.
It was a hard task, seeing that the trees caused his voice to muffle, she growled, closing her eyes. There would be a easier way of doing this, if someone was in these forest alive, she would be able to feel them, it was the biggest reason her parents kept the girl so sheltered, her ability, while it held no name yet, she knew that it could very well mean her life or her death if the wrong or right person was to seek it.
Liza closed her eyes, focusing her energy on seeking a living one, though, that was a bit difficult to do in place surrounded by life. The forest was a breathing thing itself, animals and plant life giving their own rhythmic pulse. Though, that wasn't what she was looking for, she was seeking that of a being, what sort, she wasn't sure. It wasn't too much longer and she registered with what she figured was the being that had called for help.
(Liza's power works rather strangely for her, once she finds -or rather feels- what it is she is looking for, her body sends out a magnetic pulse, attaching itself to the target, -in this case it's Elm- then, she follows the electric 'tug' to where the target can be found. )
Elizabeth followed the tugs until she reached what she suspected to be the cause of the cry for help. Though, the being that was a boy from the looks of it, about her age. She peeked from around the tree, searching him for any threats, after all that had just happened, who could blame her? "Are you okay?" her musical voice spilled from her mouth as she scanned the boy with her blue eyes, she didn't see anything threatening about him, so she came from behind her spot, toting her bag with her.

The Count of Monte Carlo "What happened back there? What caused all of that?" Trinity took a deep breath before she answered, Hopefully I can keep it together long enough to explain... "Well as far as I know. My lord, Lord Saturn, wanted to reward me for saving his son for the hundredth time or so. I requested to visit home and so they gave me this before I left", she refers to her choker that she wears around her neck which bares her lord's mark. "After I said my farewells I rode off. Not knowing it would be the last time I would ever see him again. When I arrived at my home village my parents were crusified and my trainer the rest was as bad as the ruins we left... I knew whatever it was, was after me and I suspected the next target would be the realme I swore to protect. Bit again... I was too late to prevent it bit did fight what seem to be the cause of the distruction. He was a necromancer...". She didn't finish the rest, for it was enough to answer the question. If she went further she would surely fall apart again.
