"Okay," said Charys, hopping down off the countertop. "Look, I'll probably stop thinking you're kind of a heartless brick -- sorry, it's just the kind of, you know, deal, I know you don't give half a crap for me -- eventually, but don't worry. You probably won't see me around again. Jesus, I hope not."
She backpedalled out of the metal shop, taking one last long good sniff of the benzos and the general assorted 'paint thinner' smells. "Good luck with your car," she said, "wherever that, like... goes, I guess?"
And she was gone.

While tying up her hair, Ellie repeated the gesture of shrugging she had been doing for half the conversation. "Eh, I'll probably see ya around school, but maybe next time, don't come up with such a grim purpose 'n we can talk."
When the girl vanished, Ellie couldn't help but think about Sidra once more. It really was a pity that the girl up and vanished. However, it wasn't like sitting and crying over it was going to bring her back. She hoisted up her apron over her shoulders and tied up the back.
Suppose the next time I go scouting about, I guess I can give a look around for her.
Finding this simple answer to be sufficient, she put her gloves and mask back on and got back to work. These parts weren't going to weld themselves together.
