"Work in numbers," said Astraea. "Always work in numbers. Don't patrol alone. Find out what other senshi are at Crystal Academy -- tell me -- I'll keep in touch. But never work alone. I'm not about to lose more senshi to that monster."
Who the 'monster' was, the cat-girl didn't articulate. But her lips had drawn back, revealing teeth, an expression of disgust mixed with extreme contempt. "Look up Rea Marshall," she was saying. "Look up Eve Summers. Say I sent you."
"Also tell Rea she's a stone-cold hottie," said Charys, who was still gazing away.
"Be strategic," Astraea said. "Form a team. They work in unison. We don't."

"Rea Marshall. Eve Summers." -She repeated softly, burning the names into her brain. Astraea didn't have to ask twice. Aurora lived and breathed on responsibilty, on purpose. And suddenly.. the job she'd accepted and labeled as 'girl scout' was something so much more. She'd look up the names and room numbers of the girls mentioned as soon as she got home. Though.. hopefully she'd think of some tactful way to approach them.
Pausing a moment. She formed a question finally, her face showing that it wasn't quite how she wanted to put it, but lacked the words to say it less stupidly.- "How do we win? What do we have to do to make it all stop?"
"Or are we simply reacting to the actions of others?"
-Her eyes touched the door, wondering how long it'd be before a nurse or doctor came to inspect the closed door, or came in search of their 'lost' volunteer.-

"There is only one way to win," said the cat-girl. "There is only one reason. There's only one purpose. And that's to find the Moon Princess -- to find her before the General-King does. No other way. Keep alive until we find Queen Serenity, Aurora."
"Because everyone likes a prominently vague queen with a creepy name, am I right," said Charys.
"Oh, shut up, Charys."
Finally, the girl limped back and eased herself down into the hospital bed again, yanking her IV forward, pushing her feet underneath the thin puke-green blankets. "I love doing what a cat tells me," she said, and closed her eyes and pulled her blankets up.
"That implies you ever do anything I tell you," snapped the girl: and then, perhaps, Aurora's nervousness had touched her own, because she melted down into the pretty mist-furred cat of before rather than the long-haired cat-girl who'd been sitting on the hospital bed. "I must leave." ("Woo," said Charys.) "I can't stay in one place for long."
She jumped off the bed, and trotted away to slink underneath one of the other beds. And was gone. That was Astraea for you.
"Sure you don't want a rubber glove," said Charys, eyes still closed. "They're the s**t."

-She nodded once more, beginning to feel like a bobblehead doll of sorts, casting a glance at Charys as she commented with another of her cracks. Sarcasm was obviously her friend. Not that Aurora could blame her entirely...-
"Thank you." -She offered softly, geninunely as the girl became cat once more, and promptly dissapeared from sight completely. Turning she simply nodded at the offer this time, reaching a hand out lightly.-
"If I get frisked and caught by hospital security though, I'm totally telling them it was you." -The hints of a smile were on her face again, though not the bright bubbley ones of before, something more somber, an attempt at actual comfort.-
"Soo... if you wanted I could come back again some time. Not as a volunteer." -She supposed they weren't friends or anything.. but maybe they would be one day? At the very least they were compatriots.-

Charys reached over and opened a drawer; she immediately drew out four rubber gloves of different shades of pastel, and deposited them in Aurora's waiting hand. They were slightly powdery with the mysterious substance coating surgical rubber gloves -- cornstarch? "Only if it's not a drag," she said. "I'm nobody's charity case."
Then she sunk back down into the blankets, her head on the pillow again. "I guess Astraea's right," she said, rambling a little, eyes closing again. "I don't know. I don't. Rea and Eve are good kids -- " as though Charys was much older -- "look out for them on your crazy, well-manicured side of town."
Then she said, "I'm gonna take a power nap, actually. All that getting up and walking around is mad tiring. Have a safe trip, Disney Princess."

-Her fingers wrapped around the powdery rubber, folding and deposting them into the sachel at her side. It'd probably be a pain in the butt, but obviously Charys was proof there was more important stuff in this world.-
"I'll do my best." -She promised. Aurora's promises were never intentionally empty. Turning to make her way towards the door, she called back lightly as her hand touched the knob.- "Take care of yourself Charys."
-As Aurora walked down the hallway, she unhooked the badge from her chest, before depositing it carefully on the counter, smiling long enough to get a note for her teacher. Her points seemed like such a moot point now, but she shoved the paper alongside the gloves, out of the artficial light and into the sun. She had alot to mull over. Alot to think of and do. And she'd have to be a hell of a lot more careful in the future.-
