Devin happily took that as a yes. Naturally, any sound Adrian made would have been taken positively. "I dun know many gameth," Devin admitted with a slight frown. Hm... A game they could play on the table. What was that game his older sister had taught him? "Wanna play Patty Cake?" Devin didn't really even know all the words to the old rhyme; but it seemed like a good game to play. Besides, Almie had taught him. That automatically made the game good.
"A bakery?" Zee sounded interested. "You probably meet a lot of people that way," he added. "I work with the older children in a middle school down in Barton. "Do you like working there?"

"Bbbbblth," Adrian replied again. He didn't know of this Patty Cake or its many intricacies. He contented himself with plucking at the hem of his pants. Rosie, meanwhile, had finished her pumpkin and was now admiring its relative beauty (at least so far as a zombie was beautiful).
"Uh...I mean, not really. I have my little group of friends, but I usually work in the back, so I don't...see a whole lot of customers," she shrugged, then tapping Adrian on the shoulder.
"C'mon, buddy, it's time to go."
"Bllh!" But Mommy, they were going to play a game!
"I know, buddy, I'm sorry, come on. It's cold and your tiny fingers are gonna freeze." That being said, she hefted the boy onto one hip and the pumpkin on the other.
"We should get going. It was nice meeting you, though. Maybe I'll see you again some time." Adrian waved for her, and she kissed his temple before heading away. What a strange pair of boys...
