Amaranth collapsed as a foot crashed into the back of her knee. As she fall, the short student stabbed the shaft of the scythe into the ground and pushed, using the force to propel herself into a roll away from Kenji. As she rolled, Amaranth tugged the scythe free and pushed it into the ground again, using the weapon as an aid to move quickly back into a standing position, about a meter and a half away from her foe. Once she was up, Amaranth swung her scythe, gripping it lightly so that her hand would slide down the shaft until it was right at the bottom, extending her weapons reach enough to get Kenji.
((Have to go now and I won't be able to respond till tonight.))

 Soryuu KenjiNameless Village | Nature's Guard | GeninAs Amaranth was using her time to get to recover and get up, Kenji used the time to compose himself and get to his feet as well, performing a set of hand seals as he saw the scythe come directly at him. the scythe struck him directly in the chest only to cause him to explode in a splash of water into the air. Just as the water was appearing, it just as quickly flowed passed her in a ball of water as it morphed around him and began to move around him in two criss-crossing streams.
Performing a few hand seals, one of the streams of water flowed off of of Kenji's body and moved to his arm. Stretching his arm out to his side, Kenji closed his hand as he finished the incantation of the jutsu..."Fuuma Mizu Shuriken" Within seconds the water flowed to his hand and formed into a large windmill shuriken composed completely of water, with three curved blades about a foot long as it began to spin rapidly in his hand. Kenji then unleashed the Fuuma shuriken as it flew directly at Amaranth.

Amaranth spun as her attack was countered, changing her hold on the scythe so she had a better grip and saw Kenji forming a massive shuriken out of water. When she noticed the size, Amaranth moved her hand in another series of handsigns, as the massive water shuriken was thrown at her. "Hayai Toki no jutsu" she mumbled as she completed the last handsign, causing an eerie silence to cover the area and making everything seem to move slower. With the shuriken now moving slowly, Amaranth reached out to grab the shuriken and throw it back, but when she grabbed hold of the shuriken she yelped and pulled her hand away. It was covered in cuts from where it had touched the shuriken.
Abandoning that idea, Amaranth charged at Kenji, her movements blurring at first but then becoming normal as her jutsu ended. Now standing just infront of Kenji, Amaranth swung her scythe one handed, not using her left because of the injuries caused by the shuriken.

Soryuu KenjiNameless Village | Nature's Guard | GeninOnce again, just as Kenji threw out his shuriken, he was confronted with a new kind of sensation he had never felt before. He began to see everything as if it were in slow motion, and though his mind still raced it's normal speed, everything around him, the grass, the air, was moving as slowly as he was. Amaranth however seemed to move at normal speed, which to him at the moment, would seem incredibly fast.
Within seconds, she was rushing towards him at what would seem like incredible speed as Kenji tried to move to react accordingly, only to find that his arms and body would not react fast enough. Luckily however, Kenji soon found his reflexes returning to him as well as his speed as the world came back into focus. Luckily, the action of his body finally caught up with his mind as the arm holding his kodachi which had started to be raised slowly, shot up to deflect the scythe.
Taking advantage of her weakened one-handed hold on her weapon, as he deflected the shaft to the left, he grabbed the shaft with his left hand, pulling it down slightly as he pushed back with both his blade and hand before jumping into the air in a flying knee directly at Amaranth's midsection. Meanwhile, the windmill shuriken, which also had finally returned to it's normal speed, flew past it's original intended target, but reversed back around as it boomeranged back towards Kenji, adding another danger to the field as it flew towards to the of them.

Amaranth's eyes narrowed slightly as her attack was deflected and struggled to maintain her grip on the weapon as it was forced back by Kenji. Turning slightly, the short student was about to unleash a kick at her teacher, but stopped suddenly, eyes opening wide and looking down to see Kenji's knee in her stomach. Unbalanced already from preparing a kick of her own, Amaranth was knocked backwards by Kenji's attack, the black scythe slipping out of her grip as she fall backwards towards the ground. Hitting the ground with a soft thump, Amaranth began making some handsigns but stopped in surprise as the giant shuriken shot through the air where she had just been standing.

Soryuu KenjiNameless Village | Nature's Guard | GeninAll had come according to plan, but Kenji could not help but be impressed with how well the new student handled herself, and the types of jutsu she was using was reason enough to make her a member of the village, if only to have such unique abilities on their side. As his knee connected, Sai saw Amaranth's grip on her own weapon slip as he tightened his grip on the shaft, essentially stealing her own weapon from her.
In an incredibly swift and impressive set of actions, Kenji sheathed his kodachi behind him, flipping the scythe to his right hand, twirling it around in a circle once before stopping the weapon's movement, pointing the scythe's edge directly at Amaranth as he hovered the blade over her body. with seemingly little effort, Kenji then lifted his arm up, and caught the Fuuma Shuriken, recoiling his hand back to cushion the shuriken's momentum as he brought it to a dead stop in his hands,the water shaping around his hands to avoid injuring himself as the shuriken's blades began to spin rapidly once more around it's center. "Very impressive Amaranth... you clearly belong here as a Genin. Haruko over there has your headband for you when you are ready, unless of course, you would like to continue..." Kenji uttered the last phrase with a smile, fully expecting that the fight would not continue, but trying to display that he was proud of how she had held up so far in the fight.

Amaranth froze as the scythe was held above her, the black and gray blade gleaming in the light as Kenji caught the shuriken and aimed the scythe blade at her. "Umm... No... I don't think I can win against you just yet..." Amaranth said, rolling over to the side and slowly standing up. "Even with my jutsu I didn't win..." She said with a sigh before retrieving her scythe and walking over to Haruko, "I'll defeat you eventually though!" she claimed as she walked away, sliding the scythe into it's holster as she reached Haruko.

From her spot a fair distance away, Haruko watched as the two fought and was amazed with how Amaranth handled herself against the fight with Kenji. 'Impressive, she'll surely be a fine addition to this village.' When she saw Amaranth approaching, she gave her a big smile, "Good job Amaranth-san, that was a well fought out battle. I'm truely impressed with your skill and therefore it my pleasure to award you with your very own ninja headband. Congradulations, you are now an offical ninja of [The Nameless Village]!" Haruko reached into one of her many pouches and pulled out a ninja handband. "Here you go, you're really deserving of this." She extended out her right hand containing the headband to Amaranth.

Amaranth smiled at the praise before reaching out to grab the offered headband. After grabbing the offered headband, Amaranth paused and then tied it around her left wrist before bowing to Haruko, "Thank you." Straightening up again, Amaranth walked away from The Wandering Plains, now an official Genin.

Haruko smiled at Amaranth's retreating figure before turning her attention to Kenji. "Hey, are you just going to stand there all day and stare at clouds or would you like a ride back to the village? Haruko patted Rei's side while waiting for Kenji's response.

Soryuu KenjiNameless Village | Nature's Guard | GeninKenji could only smile and laugh at the little jab she had put into her playful statement, but he was quick to fire back..."Stand here all day?... looking at cloud?... I didn't see you in there facing off against weird slowing down effects or whatever jutsu those were. Man... you'd think I hadn't just put on an impressive display of skill or something." Kenji dismissed the fuuma shuriken in a burst of water before walking over to Haruko, leaning up against Rei comfortably before delivering his final blow...
"I can understand if you'd like to go back though. Watching from the sidelines and handing out headbands can be awfully strenuous.

Haruko stared at Kenji in shock and prepared to retaliate but just than, an interesting thought came to mind and she stopped herself from speaking. Instead she gave him an evil looking smile while walking forward, "You know, you're right, you were the one who just fought a very difficult battle while I was the one who got to watch from the sidelines. So you know what? I think it'll be best if you stretched out those sore muscles by walking back to the village. Rei, now!"
Hearing Haruko beckon him, Rei immediately took off for the skies, totally ignoring the fact that Kenji was currently leaning on him. Rei flew towards the direction of the village while hovering just low enough for Haruko to jump and grab onto his legs. Haruko waited for Rei to fly directly overhead before jumping up and grabbing onto one of his legs. Looking back at Kenji, she childishly stuck out her tongue at him as Rei flew higher and farther away from the plains.

Amaranth walked out onto the Wandering Plains, her black and gray scarf billowing out behind her in the wind. Stabbing the scythe into the ground, the large genin removed her bag and dropped it onto the ground, a small smile on her face as she grabbed her scythe again, this could be an interesting battle. Swinging her scythe around in an arc, Amaranth grinned as the blade sheared straight through the earth. Turning her head, she saw Kaisho wander onto the plains, "Well, are you ready? We can begin at any time."

Kaisho watched as Amaranth easily twirled her scythe. "Man This may be tough, can't wait!" he thought as Amaranth asked him if he was ready. "Ready as I'll ever be," Kaisho said as he placed his hand on the top of the two scrolls he had on his back, and with a quick wave of his hand, the scroll opened. Kaisho in one fluid motion bit his finger and summoned a large six and a half foot tall puppet with iron plating on it's chest joints and massive hands, "This is Gilgan, hope you like what he can do." Kaisho jumped back and readied his chakra strings with his left hand. Kaisho moved his fingers and Gilgan's knees bent slightly and placed his left hand out in front of him and his right stayed close to his side.
