Asrafel wasn't one to talk about his problems. Asrafel wasn't one to have problems. He just felt awkward. He shook his head, and a moment later realized the action was pointless. "No, no it's all right. Why don't we just start over."
He took a deep breath, and lifted his head to look up at Lonan. "Tell me more about yourself instead. I can only assume when you came here it was as you are now, because if it wasn't.. well, I would have met you before. I'll never understand why it happens, but who were you brought to? Who is your Gaia guardian?"

"About me? Guardian? Oh, you mean the woman who found me? Her name's Draconayzia. Nice enough. Letting my stay at her home without too many questions and leaves me the peace I ask. Asks that I just help out in exchange."
The change in topic was odd, but he let it slide. Sometimes things were better left to stew instead of air.

"Drac.. dracon.. huh. I've never met anyone with a name like that, I guess I don't know her yet! Oh well, I'm sure I will soon. She sounds like a very nice person at least! They let me stay over at the Center all the time because I work there, so it's like a second home to me." It was more like a first home to him; he hardly ever saw his real one!
"My dad is a guy named Nio, but mostly his sister Alania takes care of me, 'cause she works at the Center too. .. Not that I need taking care of anymore!" He huffed indignantly. Suuure you don't, Asrafel. Hot chocolate always waiting for you on the cold nights and a soft humming voice putting you to sleep? No, no one takes care of you indeed.

"She lets people call her Drac. I can uderstand why sometimes. Her full name is quite a mouthful." Even he's stumbled over it a few times before getting it properly. Once she explained the meaning behind the odd combination of sounds though it was fitting enough.
"You have other family? I have.... a brother I guess. Like me and not."

"Ohh, yes, I have family. We have a very.. ah.. large family. I've never actually counted how many brothers and sisters I have; it's hard enough remembering all of their names! But I don't see them as much as I'd like. Besides, I consider all of my kin as they were my brothers and sisters, and care for them as such. And now I've added a new brother, haven't I? That is, if you don't mind that." He spoke tentatively at the end, as if trying to gauge just how well his new acquaintance would take such an idea.

The young man tilted his head, brows furrowing and gaze fixed upon nothing. That was an odd thing to concider. "You may concider me as such. Mind, I will not act as such until I know you better and judge what kind of person you really are. There are too many who walk with masks for me to open freely."
It had taken a week for Lonan to realize Devmani, though large, was a gentle giant in a sense. He had shown Lonan around the Hollow, helped without question and pity when asked. And he had never been bothered by his blindness. The complete reaction was "Huh? Ok, so you're blind. Something you need help with or you got a handle on it?" There was no malice or that pity he hated. He was capable and Devi treated him as such.

His answer gave Asrafel mixed signals, but did actually give him a clue into something else. A path, a choice. Well, it was too early to tell.
"That sounds fair enough!" He chirped happily, hopping back up to his feet and brushing his ribbons clean. "Well, I was on my way to go shopping for some groceries, but I am glad I stopped to talk to you. I can promise we will meet again, but I really should head on over, I was already late! I hope you don't mind~"

Lonan didn't seem upset in the least. Rather he was ... content. The other had put aside discomfort and stayed to talk. That was rare enough. "Not at all. Go take care of your needs. The air tells me I've lingered long enough myself. Go on you way, bright Day. And this Night will continue on his own."
He did love twisting words around. If one could not see, one had to find wit in other ways.

Asrafel liked the way Lonan talked, even if he didn't quite understand it. It was pretty! "Okay! I'll see you soon, Lonan! Get home safe!" His wings began to hum behind him, and fluttered rapidly enough to lift him into the air. He hovered for a moment, before giggling and zipping back a step. "Well, goodnight~!" He turned and zipped through the trees a moment later, heading straight for the town. He figured he had better hurry - all these stops along the way would make him get home so late!

Lonan listened until the fluttering hum of the other ten's wings vanished. An odd boy. Then again he was one to talk.
Rising from his seat on the quickly chilling ground he found the proper dirrection and started walking back to the Hollow. "Odd these little things tha can change a time..."
