Running away back to campus to safety sounded like a much better idea to Sailor Alcyone; an idea that involved very little possibilities of dying on the spot. She has had contact with Variscite's gloved claws earlier in the night (in fact, the blood was already showing through the once pristine glove), and was incredulous to think that magic, of all things, would be the stopping power to the crazy, night-stalking lunatic who was still patrolling the streets and looking for a crystal academy student jacked up on caffeine.

However, Astraea has already proven her wrong by talking, spitting out a magical pen, which in turn transformed her into this magical girl wonder. What is it to stop her from actually having magical powers? Besides, Alcyone had a sinking suspicion that if she were to run away, she'd be rewarded with a very angry kitty and even worse scratches than the ones she was already carrying.

"Did anybody ever tell you that you'd win over more flies with honey rather than vinegar?" She spat, while looking to see if the skirt was, at the very least, covering the more important parts of her body. It certainly was racy...perhaps she'd be able to sew in a new trim later.

She took a step forward onto the street-lit sidewalk where, minutes before, she had been running for her life as a normal human being. Now, she was Sailor Alcyone, senshi of storms, filled with doubts and fears about her abilities and life perception. It looked like Variscite hadn't gone too far, as she could still make out the bright yellow sash worn at the mid-drift from a distance.

Clearing her throat, she called out what was supposed to have been a call-out. "Are you ...er....looking for somebody?!"

Variscite looked over her shoulder, and fully turned when she realized that someone new had entered the scene. Of course she had no idea that this short-skirted soldier was, in fact, the very same girl that she had been looking for.

"Yes, in fact," she said. "I'm looking for a girl whose Star Seed I plan on taking. Have you seen a cute little thing, probably bleeding, running for her life? Little thing's good at hiding. Ah, well, I can take care of her after I've finished dealing with my new guest."

Her ego was bloated, and that was obvious in the practically glowing smirk across her golden lips. She took a couple of steps forward.

"You look a little nervous, senshi. Nothing like the woman I faced before. I am the cavalier of the True Queen, senshi. Allow me to take a token of love from a fair lady! Tradition calls for a lock of hair, a handkerchief...I wonder how easy it will be to cut you up into a filet and serve your Star Seed on a platter to the General-King!"

She was approaching quickly, one clawed hand raised and pointed.

Star seed. That was the first time Alcyone had ever heard the term, and wasn't even sure why the girl before her was so bent on taking hers when she wasn't even sure that she had one or not. She stayed her ground as Variscite approached closer, her confidence not nearly as large as the Lieutenant's.

She had to think of something quick before there was a relapse of the last incident, and this time she didn't even have the bottle of mace (of which she just now remembered with a frustrated grimace). What was it that the cat said to yell out? Force of wailing nest? No, no, that wasn't it...

Several variations of rhyming phrases went racing through her mind as Variscite came closer. Much like a drawn-out anime battle scene, it was only until she could just barely reach out for the senshi did she remember the phrase, and yelled it out with all her might.

"FORCE OF WHIRLING TEMPEST!"

Whatever light was around them were quickly squelched by thick and dark clouds that rolled from a heavy gust that seemed to appear from out of nowhere. The wind became more turbulent as the clouds grew and grew, dramatically whipping Varascite's sash about. It was the kind of wind where if you really felt like it (and were light enough), you could almost let yourself fall and be caught by its menacing embrace. A clap of thunder rumbled and shook, and finally, finally the torrential downpour dropped like a sheet of glass ontop of the two.

The force of such a storm would make it very difficult for the negaverse grunt to see ahead of her, let alone move without shielding her face from the stinging drops of rain summoned from up above.

Alcyone was in shock, and allowed the water to soak through her uniform without a struggle.

"Oh, is it a little black raincloud?" Variscite chuckled, but her smile quickly dwindled when she saw just how dark it got. She actually recoiled when she heard the thunder ring practically in her ears, and she had to concentrate on standing her ground against the wind.

"What the hell is this? Never experienced something like this befo-- WOAH!" the lieutenant had to cover her face as the painful rain pelted at her skin. She was thankful she wore her strange bodysuit, as the rain pierced the bare skin of her face like needles.

Variscite arrogantly tried to take another step forward, but the wind caught her and she went stumbling backwards. She screamed out an insult, but it was hardly heard above the howling wind.

Sailor Alcyone hadn't the slightest idea on what to do next. Astraea had told her to chant out her power spell, and there she was, watching Lieutenant Variscite being pelted by the strongest miniature thunderstorm she had ever seen in her life. Alcyone once again found herself to be dumbfounded with shock. Nothing in this night was playing out like anything normally would, and the fact that there was this dramatic storm just inches away from her face with a perimeter of only a few feet around was just...well, it was insane. Talking cats were insane. Transforming into slutty sailors was insane. A crazy person trapped in a storm that she some how summoned was the candy cherry on top of this crazy, crazy sundae.

This s**t was so unreal that it had to be real. Her imagination wasn't this far-fetched.

The cat had told her to chant out her power and to show the bad guy what she was made of, and that's what she did. Now what?

She watched her previous attacker fall from the full force of the wind. The rain wasn't letting out any time soon, and continued to pour violently. Astraea had told her to show the negaverse what she was made of, and she believed she was doing just that fairly well. Was killing really necessary at this point? She already felt uncomfortable enough hurting people, though it definitely helped that this person was trying to hurt her first.

Alcyone walked around and now stood as close to Variscite's head as she could without getting impaled with rain herself. "If..." She paused and cleared her throat. She had to make this threat believable, or it won't work.

"If I ever see you lurking around these streets again looking for helpless victims to hurt, I will come back and give you tenfold. THIS is just a taste of my power." Okay, sure, so she was lying about the strength of her power, but she figured if she could just keep this girl from making any more trouble, she wouldn't have to ever conjure such a storm again.

"When the storm subsides, climb back into your vehicle and leave. Or else." She made sure to add a menacing glare for good measure, even if it wouldn't be seen through the sheet of rain. With her lines said, she walked away from the storm and back to the alleyway that she had come from. Variscite wouldn't have been able to see her, as the rain would have kept her from having any clear vision of anything around her.

The storm continued to fall for another three more minutes, and suddenly, the lieutenant would find some fresh air to breathe and the stinging in her face to have stopped. Both the girl she had been looking for before and the senshi would be completely out of her sight.
