Hey. To each his own, eh? Why not. "Nice to meet you, too." Though trying to learn everything would take...a very, very long time. But hey, if that's what he's going for, more power to him.

"Nice to meet you." Jin Tian echoed, shaking Lind's hand in the proper way, looking pleased. He didn't have a problem with trying to learn everything. For some reason, he had a feeling he was going to be around a very, very long time.

"Thank you for shaking hands with me Lind." Tian said politely. "Tell me, do you go back to work after you are finished with you meal?"

...He was a strange one, wasn't he? Just a little bit. "Hmm? Oh, nah," he said with a shake of his head. "Finished my shift a little while ago. Just easier to eat here than carry it home." And also let him just sleep when he got back. Which was very, very nice.

Jin Tian didn't mean to be strange, but unfortunately it was a little unavoidable for someone with antlers and deer ears. "I suppose that is logical." The male commented. He was about to say more when Forney suddenly came tearing back.

The redhead hurled himself at Tian and latched onto his back. The Herald doubled in surprise, nearly nose to nose with Lind with a murderous look in his eyes. "Hello! Did you miss me Jin-Jin?" Forney cooed mercilessly.

Tian gritted his teeth, jaw ticking in agitation. "Get. Off. Me." He bit out almost painfully slow.

"Make me." Forney crowed in a sing-song voice. Tian's eyes bugged and he looked at Lind helplessly, not sure what to do.

Oh, pssh, Lind couldn't really say anything about it, what with the wings and the scales and whatnot. And he was about to say something, when he suddenly found himself face to face with a rather pissed off looking Tian.

And, as interesting as this seemed as if could prove to be, it was indeed a very awkward situation, as he was bending backwards slightly so there was no cases of faces smushing together, which would be...even more awkward. Usually this wouldn't be too much of a problem, but he had been on his feet all day, and his lower back was hurting, and several metallic feathers were digging into his skin, which wasn't very nice either.

"Hey," he snapped, craning his head to look around Tian at Forney. "What the hell is your problem?" Which was...probably a bit more edited version of what he wanted to say, but hey. Still got the point across.

Tian flashed Lind a grateful look just as he felt Forney take a deep breath for a retort. "What the hell is your problem?" The pastry chef demanded. "I don't think that I was even remotely talking to you." Came the snobbish reply in Tian's ear.

Forney looked the waiter over, eyebrows raised. "Besides. It's none of your business." He added clinging tighter to Jin Tian.

Whether because Forney was being a brat to Lind or because the arms around Tian's neck were a little too tight, the Herald decided that he'd had enough. Growling under his breath, Jin Tian pried Forney off his back, dumping the disheveled redhead to the floor.

"Stop it." Jin Tian told Forney coldly. "And you can walk home by yourself." He said the last bit remember how Lind had suggested that he should just leave.

"My problem?" He asked incredulously. Did he really have to ask? "My problem is that you nearly took my face off by slamming that door open, which, by the way, you aren't supposed to be using in the first place," he said through teeth that were being ground together. Somehow he managed to find enough room to back up enough so that he could stand up straight again, and able to look the other person in the eye.

"And the fact that I have been working all day, and not really in the mood to take any s**t from someone who still seems to need a babysitter." He was far past the point of trying to hide the scorn from his voice after having to deal with equally as frustrating people all day, yet unable to say anything to them about it.

"And since you seem to keep shoving things at me, then, yes, I would say that it is my business." Oh, was he ever glad that there weren't any managers around at the moment. Would probably get his a** soooooo fired if they heard him.

Forney sputtered, looking livid. "Well, it's not my fault that you're sitting in this corner hole in the first place in everyone way." He shot back. "I will not have some punk a** kid whine at me about his crap end job, so get out of my face!"

To Jin Tian's horror, Forney actually shoved Lind back against the wall. "I'll make sure you're fired." He threatened. Tian tried to move in and calm the pastry chef down but was cut off. "And you shut up Tian! I told you to stand here and be quiet." Needless to say, they were beginning to attract a few stares from all the screaming.

"I'm not 'in everyone's way'," he all but sneered, as he had been in a very....out of the way area of the kitchen. Which people weren't supposed to come in by. As had been mentioned. By like...the sign on the door that said "Employees Only".

And he was about to add something about how he was the one who had been the one to get into his face, but found himself pushed against the wall before he could get that out. What/ The. <********> "Look," he sad, shoving the other man's hands off of him. "I don't know what delusional, ******** up world you live in, but people don't generally listen to someone who harasses their employees." And although he seemed calmer than Forney, the fact that his hands were clenched into fists sort of betrayed that.

Oh, and also the fact that small bits of metal around him were kinda twisting around as if trying to reach towards Forney.
Which was...bad.
Maybe.

Forney was a chef and therefore considered himself an employee of any and every kitchen. He wasn't one detered by much of anything, let alone employee only signs.

"I'm not harassing you." Forney replied staunchly as his hands were pushed off. "I'm giving you all the courtesy a jackass like yourself deserves. None."

The floating metal around Lind had Forney's eyes bugging though and he stepped back a bit. "What the hell?" He demanded, eying the metal works.

Jin Tian took this moment to intervene, stepping between the fight, facing Forney and his back to Lind. "Perhaps a trip outside will help you calm yourself Forney." Tian told the patisserie smoothly. "Lind did not do anything wrong so please, leave him alone." Forney didn't move though, seemingly intent on wanting to kick Lind's a**.

Yes, well, they were there for a reason, and had there happened to be a restaurant inspector there, that would be a not good thing. Or. You know. Just common courtesy to let someone work and then get it after they're done for the night.

"Shoving someone into the wall is generally considered harassment." Sarcasm. Oh sarcasm. Not going to help anything at all.

Oh hel. Should probably stop this before it gets out of hand and...bad things happen that will actually make him lose his job. That would be bad. So with a sigh and a mumble of something under his breath (probably very unflattering), he scooped up the forgotten apron and edged his way around Jin Tian. "Whatever," he said, slightly louder than his previous mumbled comments. "I'm out of here."

He did, however, pause before he left, turning back around to wave at the older Herald with a parting "See ya," before yanking the door open and stomping out, the metal returning to it's original state once he left the kitchen.

And on his own head be it if he decided to follow him and keep this up.

Forney growled and was about to dash after Lind, but thankfully, Tian held him back. It was a blessing when Donovan showed up to yell at Forney for making so much noise, who decided to yell right back, now happy to have a shouting match with at least someone.

Jin Tian left the two in the stuffy, noisy kitchen and was the one to follow Lind. "Lind, wait!" The Herald called, catching up. "Please, forgive him." Tian asked, breathing a little heavily with two irritated spots of red high on his cheeks. He was glad to leave Forney and had no idea why he was covering for the little brat. "I apologize for his rash behavior. He does not mean it."

Ah well. It would've been...interesting if he had, but hey. Better that he didn't. Then would be all grumpy and possibly vaguely painful, and wouldn't get any sleep and then would have to go to work the next morning tired and grumpy and possibly sore.

Though once out into the alleyway that led to the parking lot, he stopped, partially because he couldn't find his keys amongst the folds of the apron, and partially because someone was following him. "Eh, it's alright." he said with a dismissive shrug. "Not your fault he has a stick shoved up his a**," the last part was mumbled, though wasn't quite as quiet as to not be heard.

"It is not alright, but thank you." Tian fidgeted as he stood before Lind, finger curling his straight silver hair into ringlets. If he'd known what he had been doing, he would have been appalled.

"Really though
," he pressed, "is there anything I can do to make it up to you. Anything at all?" Tian was serious again, wanting to right the wrong Forney had committed with more than an apology. It only seemed the polite thing to do.

Oh hey. He just needs to relax a bit. It's not a bad thing to fidget, if it's not all the time.

"Nah, it's fine, really," he insisted with a smile, still fishing around in the apron in search of the ever elusive keys. "Kinda pointless to hold a grudge against someone you're probably not going to meet again, huh?" And, well, hopefully he wouldn't.

But since he said that, he probably would. The universe kinda sucked like that.
