Turning back to the indignant voice from the tree, Rosel snickered. It was the belted one, or at least formerly belted, she thought dryly as she noted the swinging buckles. She also noted the guns, and the odd echoes she had been hearing suddenly made sense. And here she had dismissed it as an odd play of the thunder off the surrounding trees. Gun didn't frighten her, the metal conducted lightning fantastically, though she supposed the use of bullets were slightly more accurate than lightning.
Stepping daintily onto a rock as a small river of mud and water rushed by her feet, she made a show of checking her nails as she contemplated hitting the tree again, just to be petulant. The idea had merit, but even she had to admit there were bigger fish to fry. She grinned and spun around on the rock. "If one of your little bullets comes near me," She shouted over her shoulder. "I'll be certain to blow up more than the tree!"
Stepping over the small river forming around her feet, her good mood dissipated as she stepped, once again, in mud. Looking up, she cast her sour look, but nothing else, at Seir, who continued to float above the chaos, drenching things. As useful as that was. He did seem to have a way with the mindless Cursed though, as they made their plodding progress through dismantling the village and dragging it's inhabitants into the street to either be killed by other mindless, or to attempt an escape. A phyri, half covered in mud, attempted to employ the latter option by slinking along a row of half charred trees. Rosel snorted as she hopped up onto the remnants of a stone wall, shaking the mud off her feet.
Really, what was the point in setting things on fire, if Seir was simply dousing everything.
Lifting her hand in front of her face, she rubbed them together furiously as she kept the terrified phyri in her line of vision. Things dismantled could be rebuilt. Sparks shot up from between her hands. Fallen trees could be used for firewood. Lightning thrummed in circles around her fingers. The phyri paused behind a small tree to look around. With a smile that bordered on a sneer, the lightning loosed, and the surrounding area was bathed in firelight.
But if you burnt it all to the ground and killed the survivors, why it was a very testament to the chaos that had destroyed it.

Jadecrystal began to run, making sure to keep the little ones on her back holding onto the ropes. "Epona, Sage, hold on. I don't know if there are any safe spots anymore, but I'll protect you guys and make sure we're out of the warzone." And then she noticed the small Phyrefly over at the fringe of the woods...and the creature attending to it. "Do you see the black creature over there? I've never seen anyone-or anything-like it before...seems like that girl's safe. Hold on!" And Jadecrystal took off, blazing a path through the monsters to what could be safety... And tears ran silently down the Holy Beast's cheeks as she observed the war surrounding her. "...why?"

Distempered bloodbath of destruction…
Aeos stopped his flight to simply stare at the chaos. From his vantage point, some ways above the fighting, he could see the flames that licked buildings where it was not coated with sheens of water. Of course, if they were wet, they were free to channel the lightning that Rosel drew. And, the ice… well, they could channel electricity, too, if tried. However, none of those conditions were good to stay in if they wanted to live. Relieving his body of a taunt sigh, he kept one eye on Seir. The dark Constellation was certainly enjoying himself, but Aeos’ other job was to make sure Seir was not… considerably harmed from this tiresome battle.
The Ice Constellation flapped his wings, long feathered appendages winging him towards Seir wordlessly.
“Seir,” he called quietly, wanting to warn the Constellation to be careful but not quite managing to project his voice over the battle noise. Undisturbed, his eyes caught sight of something bright gold and green galloping across the war zone. Mouth curving into a thoughtful frown, Aeos consulted the little knowledge he had of Holy Beasts. Were they powerful as they were beautiful? Who knew, but the horns and hooves he knew to avoid. His gaze stayed on the galloping beast as his hand drifted to his hips where his swords were.
She’s only helping the children out. What harm could that do? Aeos thought, curious as he followed the Holy Beast’s destination towards an unknown creature (but there were a lot of unknown things, so he dismissed it in his mind) and a slightly familiar, little phyrefly.
…Aulora, was it? Aeos wondered before he turned his icy body away as if he had not seen her, and therefore did not have to kill her.
“Why not learn how to fly?” He tossed at Noctis, amused.
Noctis had interesting weapons and enjoyed the chaos, so Seir did not regret asking him to ally with him. His gaze shifted to Rosel, the same amusement on his face. She was more questionable, seemed more likely to have her own agenda, but as long as it didn’t collide too badly with his… Seir did not really care. They were fairly decent allies, and were doing as he wished. The path of destruction they brought at their wake was certainly proof of that. He wondered briefly, if being allies meant that he had to deal with helping them out as well. Who knew?
“Now, now, don’t fight amongst yourselves,” he floated down near the ground where Rosel and Noctis were, still not touching the ground. “Save that for later because this fight is only just beginning.” Seir crossed his arms across his chest, deciding now to stop dampening everything that he passed. It was not for the sake of any of his comrades, but he did see the point. If he wanted it to level it entirely, why not let it burn? Still though, at least, he hadn’t wanted to drown everyone. Because, where would be the point of gathering army be then?
He listened contently to the rages of the battlefield, and reached out to touch the charred remains of a red lantern. “Pretty,” the Constellation mused to himself. “Where there is chaos, we may also find those that enjoy playing ‘hero’. Those who think they can stand up to this..”
“I hear they enjoy showing ‘fashionably’ late, you see.”

Water swirled around a tiny ball of light as it careened into a group of cursed that had been making their way like zombies toward Frei's hiding place. Buildings were burning, and all hell had broken loose. Dismayed at the happenings, and the fact that his 'water balls' weren't doing much of anything, and neither was blowing his horn as a distraction; Frei retreated further into the woods with a sour look on his face. This was terrible. "What will become of us?" he murmured, as water suddenly came down on him. "Rain?" No it was too focused, and he highly doubted that a single rain cloud was hovering above him. He gazed up into the sky and spotted a figure moving overhead. He brushed his long, black bangs out of his line of vision. One blue eye, and one green eye stared up. Who was that? There were more in front of him too. Hopefully they weren't cursed. He carefully slinked toward them, aware that they could probably see him; he wasn't the stealthiest, although he blended quite well with the night. At least he was ready to run, if need be.

Avaron took flee into the woods. Her tea stand at the festival was ruined! All her precious blends and ingredients had been cremated in the fire that ripped at her little booth. The screams of the fresh flowers and leaves sizzling still echoed in the Twilif's ears. The tips of her onyx hair were singed. Avaron had braved the fire and saved as many of the newly collected items as she could; she stored them in her violet lantern. The fire was victorious, it claimed nearly all of the Tea Twilif's stock. Tears still streaked the devastated girl's face. She took refuge against a well in the woods, with her head hung over the side she let her tears replenish the low water of the well. Drip... Drip... Drip... Drip...
The sound echoed. It roused one of the corrupted spirits from her slumber. Long dark hair emerged from the murky surface of the well water. Dead limbs reached for the well's siding. Nail-less hands scrambled for the spaces between the rock. The soaking girl scaled the inside of the well. She could see the light, the orange ambient glow. She could hear the shrieks and cries of war. Her thoughts laughed at the devastation, all should die brutally as she had. Her sights fell upon the crying Twilif. 'Perfect.' She reached a bony hand out and grasped the collar of Avaron's kimono lurching the Twilif foward.
Avaron teetered precariously over the well's edge. She was going to fall in if she was not saved soon.... Sadako's creepy eye peered through the stringy strands of hair. Avaron's voice cried shrill into the air! A corrupted had her in it's clutches!
"AAAAAAIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!"

Noctis stood by, not taking a major part in the destruction yet, although he was enjoying it. He stared down at the chaos from above, eyes taking in the panic with an affected expression, indifferent to the suffering. He didnt particularly care for having a hoard of zombies following him, content with leaving the mindless drudge to Seir. He grinned at Seir's lines, eyes narrowing in enjoyment.
"Fashionably late is quite right. Not to say that we didn't quite make a splendid entrance ourselves." Noctis added, looking over their sinister group with approving eyes. "I'm sure there's some heros we can have fun with. I call dibs on a solo battle. Your help.. won't be necessary." Noctis told the group, a wide smirk indicating his confidence.
-------
"This chaos. It's quite disturbing." Rhyme murmured as she erected crystal shards to apply blunt pain to the cursed inhabitants, knocking them unconscious on the ground. She was sitting on an advantage point, looking at the chaos down below. Her red eyes lowered, the cause of this curse was blatantly obvious. The one that had approached before.. Ruin.. There seemed to be no other reason as to why a plague that corrupted the minds of others could appear. That's why Ruin had done in the first place. She had even given a demonstration in front of them. These were only replicas of her work.
"That it is." Ikuto agreed, his sword dripped the crimson blood of another cursed folk, applying enough bloody pain to leave one plagued man unconscious. It appeared as if the pair didn't want to kill, just to simply disable the cursed moonfolk.
He lifted his head in alertness, a scent traveled amongst the air that caused such a scowl on Ikuto's usually calm face. When asked about the topic of the matter from Rhyme, Ikuto seemed reluctant to give an explanation.
"There's enemies. A number of them. I sense .. old company. New company. Extremely lethal ones." He said softly, hands gripping his sword in a tighter manner, expression withdrawing like a cat getting ready for battle. "No doubt, they've formed a group of allies for this commotion. I can't imagine that he wouldn't participate in this battle."
He didn't need to say names. Both of them knew the topic of the subject. And this topic.. well, he wasn't alone. And there seemed to be only Rhyme and Ikuto.
"Shouldn't we give them.. a welcome ceremony?" Rhyme asked, a grim shadow was cast over her expression. Aeos had clearly chosen Seir's side which was no doubt destruction. Ikuto and Rhyme were here to prevent this destruction. There were no opposite sides this time.
"Hopefully, we have allies as well. There can't be only us against this dark plague." She murmured to herself, the one bright emotion left within this plague was hope. If it was gone, there would only be death and fear.

Constellations were flying, and chaos went dancing across the earth. Lightning and explosions rent the air. Beneath stinking clouds heavy with tumult and winds that whistled along the wails and whining woe of the unfortunate, Sankke flit through the ruin. She made a sparing figure against all of the action around her, few things about her visible as she made her relentless path. Her eyes guttered and gleamed at all that they observed - and oh, she found that there was much to see. Her chains rattled a discordant song that meshed with the rapport of gunfire. And across her shoulders was braced her unusual lantern, dimmed in the hopes that none would follow it this day. The long train of her black dress went flying, her bare toes alighting across loose stones, scree, and rubble; only to take off again. A sharp, but not entirely painful pang slid through her foot as she ran up and over an edge of glass. The Twilif paid it no heed and continued on, kicking up her heels. By some art of spirit-kind, she sprinted only faster.
Weaving her way up the ruins of a wall, she reflected on the fact that hadn't planned on stopping for anything. Sankke knew some of what was going on here: the one called Ruin, and her story. She had heard it over some wayward campfire, and what a sorrowful tale it made. But this - she had not fathomed this. This, in the aftermath of that "curse"; well, everyone had simply gone mad. Power-mad beings given rein over a power-hungry world. It was... interesting, to say the least. Intriguing to say the most. Words like 'terrifying' and 'wonderful' fell into the uncreative in-between. And where would she fall, then?
There was the question.
The Twilif let out a hiss like the popping of embers as she was forced to stop, a harsh movement catching her eye. It was a bolt of lightning - arcing not down, but up at her! Sankke whirled her lantern in a ready defense, only to find that she had no need. The bolt struck down just to her left, engulfing that place - and with it, her path - in a rush of flame.
Sankke stared sullenly at the fire, speaking more words-that-were-not-words-at-all, before whirling her lantern once more. It burst into full light as she leapt into the conflagration.

A brilliant flash caught Zahara's attention; a shard of ...what appeared to be crystal had appeared in the chaos below.
Perhaps I shall see if I can make myself useful down there... I do not think I could successfully attack any of the constellations up here.
Drifting down toward where she had seen the crystals appear last, Zahara realized some cursed lores were about to attack two constellations from behind as they spoke together.
Hoping she was helping someone who would not turn around and try to destroy her, Zahara began speeding up, drawing herself into a solid form... simultaneously drawing her weapon: a shimmering staff appeared in her delicate hands, rapidly solidifying to a dull, golden gleam.
"Behind you!" She called out, hoping the two had heard her.
With a flourish, Zahara spun, knocking back the approaching cursed, then quickly reversed the butt end of the staff to knock a more persistent assailant unconscious.
Landing lightly and cautiously holding her staff in front of her in a casual guard, Zahara turned to address the most stunning constellation she had ever seen and... a pirate?
Eyes still wide, Aulora swung her head around to focus on the creature now basically surrounding her with both body and tail. The phyrefly cringed closer, burrowing into warm, soft fur as a lightning strike exploded somewhere nearby.
"I don't like the noise, it's scary! But how do I get away from them? Every time I've tried there are more people in the way! Do you know where it's safe?"
The innocence of the question lit Aulora's eyes. She did not understand what she was seeing, did not have knowledge of the right words to use to describe it all. She did not understand why the tears were welling in her eyes...
...eyes that begged for answers she never needed to know.

As Jade stared helplessly at the war going on around them, Sage's ears purked up as he heard Avaron's scream. He looked around and noticed the colorful twilif with the creepy one who seemed to have come out of a well. He poked Epona urgently for her assistance.
But the phyrefly tried to find the creature Jade was talking about.
"What? What creature? What girl?" said Epona, looking frenetically around. She only paid attention when Sage started to shake her. "Ack! What is it, Sage? @.@" she replied.
The bunny pointed to the two twilif and Epona screamed in fear.
"JADE! THERE'S A CUTE TWILIF THAT IS BEING ATTACKED BY A CREEPY TWILIF!!" she yelled as she pointed to Avaron and Sadako. "WE HAVE TO HELP HER!!"

With a sigh, Rylia looked away from the skies for a minute, and jumped down from the branch she was standing on down to another branch diagonally below her in another tree, gazing forward. From there she could see a lot more of the terrible things happening amongst those on the ground floor. She couldn't fly, but as long as there was a tree whose branches would support her weight, there was no way in hell she would join those on the ground unless she had no choice to. From the corner of her eye, she spotted Kiru and nodded her head once, before quickly jumping over towards yet another branch. This time, she would be able to see exactly or some of the action that was taking place below her.
From the skies, she caught sight of two bodies. She couldn't confirm who they were of course assuming she'd seen or met them before. Non too concerned, she turned her head to look down, spotting several...constellatiions and other types of moonfolk below her though she couldn't see their faces really. She'd have climb down the tree further to get a better look of the situation, doing so because curiosity forbid her to completely dismiss it. Once low enough to see and to her liking where she felt she was comfortable, she stared down at a few encounters.
To one side, she saw a...stunning constellations dressed in what she'd call a 'fancy robe' with red hair or was it pink? and a harp. She seemed to be accompanied by a...pirate type of moonfolk? She wasn't sure and she wasn't exactly good at explaining this type of stuff to herself just yet. She'd learn that eventually, but she was content with at least knowing what she saw. She looked over and couldn't help but notice some..strange kind of moonfolk wrapping its body around a much smaller one. The smaller one looked confused and possibly afraid, but i appeared like she might have been in good hands...or paws in it's case. There were a few others that caught her attention, but she didn't feel obligated to have to even attempt and analyze just what was going on.
"It seems we may have found a possible 'good' camp." Kiru said laying down comfortably on a branch above her.
"Good camp?"
"Yes, you know. The Good guys"
"Oh I see. That must be why their attacking the cursed ones"
"Precisely. They seem like a pretty good bunch, but I'd much rather try and get a look at what their up against."
"The 'bad' camp right?"
"It's amazing how fast you catch on" Rylia grinned. "There's no need to speak that way either. Give me a break. What do you want? To go over to see the bad guys and hope not to be seen or attacked? I'm sure their quite a smart bunch with how things are going you know."
"Most likely, but you can't truly remain neutral.
"I suppose your right...but i don't like it...don't you see the lighting strikes and smoke coming from where their location might be?"
"Yes. But that doesn't chance the heart of the matter. Now get going."
"You're lucky i'm indebted to you..." Rylia uttered as she turned to jump up towards a new branch without really paying attention. She managed to land right onto the branch, a crunching sound catching her attention before she felt the branch beneath her break off from the rest of the tree. She gasped somewhat as she reached up as she plummeted towards the ground, managing to grab yet another branch a few feet below where she had been before jumping up onto the defective branch. She sighed as she slowly managed to pull herself onto the new more stable branch, but because she had fallen too far down, she had been spotted by one of the cursed one's in the area standing near the trunk of the tree she was in. "Great...now look. Thanks a lot Kiru." Rylia said frowning.
Hey, don't blame me for your lack of attention. Besides, it's not my fault you decided to be neutral in this war and the cursed ones can't tell if you're a good or bad guy"
Rylia sighed. "You never make this easy...I don't have much of a choice but I'm going to have to strike him down. Hopefully none of the good camp spots some random cursed guy near a tree being struck down"
"Do you not see how close they are? Someone is bound to notice"
"well thanks...you're reallyyyy helping me right now.." Rylia uttered as she took a breath breath, breathing out long and slow as a small cloud of darkness in a fog-like appearance appeared around her body. She moved her hands as if she was holding a bow, the darkness around her crafting itself into a bow as she pulled back and let go, striking the cursed one below her with a bow made of the same right into what she believed would have been his head. She watched as the cursed fell over and onto the ground near the tree.

Roark heard the snapping of a twig behind him, turning swiftly on his heels to face whatever menace had dared to sneak up on him, hoping that it wasn't another of those dastardly cursed things, honestly they were the ugliest beast's he'd ever come across. All that greeted him was darkness and trees and..and was that an eye!? "Whoever you are you'd best come out now lest I fry you!" he was sure he'd seen a blue eye somewhere in that mix of darkness. Truly the night was the worst time to fight, fires alighting the fields with destruction only cast about so much glow to see by. Not to mention all the water and snow, if ro'ark could have he would have personally cursed the damn cause of this mess to his face. Or at least asked him to tone down the wet!
Daskri-Mal took pause in his slaying of one of the cursed, watching the smaller monster fall headless to the ground. His attention caught by something much brighter, colors he knew just as well as he knew his own, and a voice though distorted by the noise of battle that he would have recognized anywhere "Zahara" he smiled softly as he followed her path with his eyes, watching with joy as she landed near what appeared to be another pair of constellations. Heh..maybe they stood a chance against this evil after all? His concentration on his dear friend shattered by the snarl at his side, gasping as he just barely dodged a nasty pair of fangs attached to wolf like head surely this thing had once been something more human looking at one point. Sweeping back towards the trees to give himself a better advantage, paintbrush swirling into motion as the enraged beast leapt at him. The creature howling as it found itself impaled upon a bright green spear a moment later, still alive and struggling as it tried to claw its way through the air closer to daskris still form. "Tsk..such determined abominations." he huffed softly, the paint made spear dissolving away as he lashed out with another attack, striking through the demons skull with a bright blue blade. The blade too dissolved as soon as daskri was done with it, falling to pool and mix with the blood of the creatures.
A twang in the distance and a thud of a heavy body causing daskri to look to the trees, nothing but darkness and mist and branches, still there was the evidence of a dead body. The cursed being laying there twitching with an arrow firmly through his head.."Interesting.." truly they weren't as alone as he had feared they would be. So many innocence scattered across the field he had worried there would be few to protect them.

Frei nearly jumped when a twig beneath his feet snapped. The noise could have gathered the unwanted attention of the cursed. In front of him, he could see another twilif, of a bright red who was staring straight at him. The other twilif spoke, demanding that Frei show himself. "Eeep!" Frei hopped out from the bushes and waved his hands in front of him to show he was un-armed and not wanting a fight. "H-hey hold on. I was just trying to get away from-" he began, unsure of why he was suddenly having to explain himself anyway. (referring to Roark, assuming it was Frei he saw sneaking around xD)
In the distance he could hear a scream. It was closer then the sound of screaming villagers. His ears twitched as he swivled and looked to his right. Somewhere nearby, somebody needed help. (referring to Sadako and Avaron)

"OH MY GOD EPONA! You're right!" And she ran back into the battle, tears streaming down her face as she fought against the monsters, her gold horn and dark green tail splattered with blood. Breaking a path to the creepy long-haired Twilf, Jadecrystal reared up (the ropes on her back securing the two children, not that she was any older than them, but in size...) and smashed a paw into the evil black-haired well Twilf, knocking her away.

Ro'ark let out a tense sigh, shoulders lowering in relief as he held his lantern a bit higher, the better to view the fellow twilif with. "Just trying to get away from what? The battle or those mindless monsters..I'm afraid that, if your looking for an escape your headed the wrong way" ro'ark shrugged softly giving the long haired twilif a slight smile. "Your lucky, for a minute there I almost thought you were one of them...your not one of them are you?" he growled out the last not as if daring the rather sweet looking twilif to admit he had joined forces with the ones who were the cause of this mess. War was mess, war was annoying..and really something ro'ark was rather unaccustomed to. His powers fit the cause, but his inexperience with such things didn't help much.
The scream faintly reached his ears and he chose to ignore it, just one more added to the many that he'd been hearing since the battle had begun, screaming and fire and puddles...all one big destructive mess...

Growling and snarling, sputtering what curses she could with her blade still clamped firmly in her jaws, Grassglitter leaped and pranced around the cursed attacking her, striking with butting horns and cutting blade, kicking feet and lashing tail. She was starting to see the appeal in having hands free to do things like hold weapons - she was having a lot of trouble condemning the offending creatures to ill fortune, which required clear speech. So far, she'd had little effect, once or twice causing one of her attackers to stumble a little. Never much more than that, though. What I need, she thought, is for someone to fight with, so I can get this hunk of metal outta my mouth and do some serious cursing.
While loathe to admit it, she was going to have to let some unarmed Twilif or other biped use her precious blade. Scrambling up onto a high wall, Grass looked around for someone who looked able and trustworthy. She spotted a pair of Constellations - perhaps not the most likely candidates, since they were doing just fine with their weapons of choice, but others were bound to rally around such powerful forces against this tide of evil. Grass dove off the wall, landing on a Cursed and jumping off onto another, then to the ground as they fell - it was a somewhat useless action, but entertaining. She ran towards the pair of Constellations, still trying to sputter curses at the Cursed as she went.
