"Haha, yeah you really upset that little guy didn't you?" he asks chuckling at the memory. The two of them always seemed to have the funniest adventures, when they were younger at least. Peke hardly has any free time now that he's older. He never spent any time with Ethi now, most of his free time was spent sleeping(whenever that happens).
"Yeah! Sliding through the mud during the race was the best part," he chirped happily. "Haha, I could still beat you now," he exclaims with the utmost certainty. "I wish we could race now, but I hear that a bunch of old members are returning," he laments with a small sigh.
"I'm expected to talk with them, make sure none of the interluders have found them and manipulated them," he explains hating the fact that his time with her was so short today. He wants to stay longer but his duties call. He's accepted the fact that with his abilities he has more responsibilities, ones he can't turn away from. Not if he wants to keep history from repeating itself.
He can't go through losing someone the way he lost his sister, not again.

"I did! but he could have been more gracious about it, too. " She huffed, mock-offended by the whole ordeal. "It was just a honey-comb! Nothing to tear someone's hide off over. " She shuddered at the image of what could have happened had the badger actually caught up with her.
Ethi huffed at his implication. "Hey, I'm faster now! These feet are made for running, you know! " She smiled, stretching out her front paws happily. Yes, she was actually pretty quick now! Still a somewhat awkward hunter, though. But that was more because of not being completely into it than being incapable. There were just so many more things to do that run around killing some antelope!
"Oh, really? That's too bad. Or cool too, that they're coming home, but... too bad. You have to go. " She frowned, sitting up. "Unless you're just making excuses, you know, so you don't get beat. That's fine too, I guess. " She added on a lighter note, grinning playfully.
"So, I'll see you around? "

"I doubt that!" he chirps tapping her playfully on the top of her head. "I'm still bigger than you, and quicker too! You don't stand a chance!" he teases sticking his tongue out at her. He takes a step away from her reluctantly. He doesn't want to go but he knows he has to.
He frowns as he takes another step away. "I'm sorry Ethi, I don't want to go but I have to," he sighs. "But we're going to see each other soon," he promises with a nod. "Don't be a stranger okay?"
He turns away from her and starts to walk away when he stops and looks back. A sad smile is pasted to his face as his blue eyes look over her. "Bye," he murmurs.

"Well, I'm lighter! And the girls do most of the hunting, remember? " She defended, though her heart wasn't in it. She was pretty sure Peke could still outrun her, though he might have to work for it a bit more. She'd just settle for being lighter and more capable of other things.
Ethi held back a frown at the reminder of him leaving. "Yeah, you go. We can't have anyone causing any trouble! " She nodded. "But I'm already strange! " She frowned, then offered him a smile as he left.
"Bye. "
She waited until he was gone, then turned around and headed her own way.
