Rhian giggled and clutched at the wildly-struggling Contessa. "Ziazan! Sibling-Ziazan, help me, she's trying to get away again!"

Ellandra nodded, her gbaze, still riveted on the little boy, turning sad. "I know, Kelly. It's a bit hard to adjust too; it's still different than what you've known, and be it good or bad, it's still a change. . . . and change takes getting used to. But we're all here to help you if you need it - me, Faolan, Ziazan, Rhian, even the babies - oh, and I suppose the puppies too, in their own ways."

Contessa yelped, and kicked and wriggled around, trying frantically to get away from the tortrous antennae-girl............. until one of those antennae dangled to close to her face and the puppy, entranced by the glow, jumped at it with a large chomp. Rhian immediately yelped and let go of the puppy, pulling back - which unfortunately only made the cocker spaniel convinced that this was a new toy to play tug with. "Owwie! Help! Sibling-Ziiiiiiiiiiiiiii! Help! She's eating meeeeeeeeeee!"

Ellandra tilted her head thoughtfully, before deciding to explain to the boy what she could, in as clear a manner how she could. "Rhian and Ziazan.... well, they're ...... something special. Kelly, could you promise me that what I'm going to tell you, you'll never share with anyone unless they already obviously know about it?"

Grumbling and whuffing softly, Contessa let go of Rhian's antenna and backed off, an "I showed YOU" look in her eyes. Rhian grabbed at her antenna and whimpered, running upstairs and into the nursery, wailing. "Maamaaaa, Tessie chewed on my antenna!"

Ellandra was halfway across the room, twins in arms, before Rhian had finished crying. Quickly but gently, she placed the infants in their cribs and wrapped the flutterby in a hug, shushing her and comforting her. "Shhh, shhh, flutterby, let me see," she crooned, gently taking the antenna into her hands and inspecting it. "It looks alright, does it still hurt?"

Rhian shook her head a bit, her eyes watering as she blinked at her Mama. "N-no...." Blinking at Kelly, she managed to smile at the little boy and waved a bit.

Ellandr adidn't even have the chance to respond before Rhian, happiness restored - and concern for Kelly kicking in as she felt his out-of-placeness - and leapt forward, skipping over to Kelly and stopping just short of tackling him in a full-on flutterby huggle. "Come play with me, Kelly! I'm gonna teach Tesie t' dance, you wanna help?" Antennae bobbed and glowed in a sort of brightening-dimming pattern as Rhian beamed at the child, her bright blue eyes alight with excitement and just a bit of emotional reaching-out.

Rhian nodded a little, antennae drooping. "Okay, I'm sorry I bothered you, Kelly," she said quietly, scooping Contessa up and heading back downstairs to get the puppy out of her costume.

Ellandra turned to Kelly and smiled a little. "I'm sorry, Kelly, Rhian gets overexcited easily. . ."

Ellandra sighed a little. "Why don't you go talk with Rhian?" She asked, brushing gently past Ziazan and hugging the gender-neutral Essentic for a brief moment. "I think I need to go talk to Kelly," she added. "He at least needs to know that he's not in trouble, if nothing else."

Ellandra blinked a bit and blushed, looking away. "I. . . what are you talking about, Ziazan?" She couldn't deny that she suspected, but, to have it confirmed again. . . well, it wasn't that bad, was it? She shrugged a little and managed a weak smile. "I.... well... I suspected that........... maybe.........."

Ellandra blushed again and nodded. "Thank you, Ziazan," she said quietly, before heading to Kelly's room and knocking on the door-frame before peeking inside. "Kelly, can I talk with you?"

Rhian was downstairs, having undressed the puppy, and absently stroked Contessa's ears, the puppy sitting in her lap, almost seeming to apologize for her part in causing the flutterby's distress.
