Indey skittered out of the woods a few moments after Eva, he'd been fine while he was running and not thinking about things but now as he checked his speed and caught sight of Calandra looking worried and Eva looking somewhat crestfallen Indey - always the clumsy one in the family forgot to keep an eye out on here he was placing his feet. One paw ended up clipping a root rather then clearing it completely and with a startled yelp she stumbled, tried to catch his footing but ricocheted off a sapling and tumbled to the ground.
Shaking his head the purple teen gave the other two a somewhat sheepish look and slunk over in their direction. "Sorry, forgot to watch where I was going" he explained - though that was pretty obvious by this point. Ghosting up to Eve's side he glanced up at her questioningly - wondering if she had told her yet.

Calandra smiled as Indie righted himself and entered, wishing that he would hold his head a little higher. Her son needed more confidence, for all that he was clumsy. Of course, the fact that he was all right made Eva's expression all the more odd. Calandra felt her stomach tighten nervously and sat up to try to relieve the feeling.
"Eva?" She asked in her best concerned mother voice, "What is it?"
Eva was usually the headstrong one, it wasn't like her to hestitate. Calandra tilted her head, smiling invitingly. "Tell me."

Eva turned her head as Indeygo came barreling up and made a face at him tripping. Calandra brought her back to the problem and she fidgited a moment. There wasn't a way to say this.
"We want to leave to look for our brothers and sisters," she blurted. When Calandra's face fell and she stared blankly, Eva continued quickly, "We don't want you to think we're leaving you, we just have to go. I mean..." She shrugged slightly and shifted awkwardly on her feet. "We want you to go with us, if you want to. But we need to start looking. The trail is already cold, but if we wait longer we might never find them. We just... Indie and I, we think we're old enough now."
She looked to Indie for support, expecting him to back her up.

Indeygo wasn't usually the one who stood up for things in thier dynamic duo, he was pretty much always the follower when it came to Eva's far more braver plots - but at his sisters glance Indey inched forward to nuzzle at Calandra in puppyish mode, which he realized might not back up the whole 'we're old enough to do this' argument but he wanted to assure her that even if they did find their missing siblings Calandra would always be their family. They weren't leaving forever - at least Indey didn't expect to leave Calandra behind forever and he honestly hoped she would decide to come with them.
"We just...we want to know" He tried to explain, they wanted to know where this siblings had gone..how many of them had survived...were they happy? They wanted to know allot and Eva was right. The clues were already slim...and only getting harder to uncover.

Calandra turned her head towards her nuzzling son and sighed slightly. It was a morose topic, but she knew it would come eventually. They were older now, certainly Eva was capable of taking care of herself, and she would watch Indeygo. It was hard, though, to let her children go, even on the back of a promise. In her mind, and hopefully theirs, she was their mother and she'd grown from it as they'd grown under her care. At least she no longer had the fear of losing them as she had their family.
"If you think you're ready... then there's no time to waste. Indeygo's right, waiting only makes it harder to find clues." Calandra rose to her feet and stretched out her front legs, looking thoughtful and serious. "I will speak to Rage about us leaving, and I'm going with you. My pack has kept me safe, provided the two of you with a safe place to grow up, but while you may be old enough to go into the world, I think you'll need some guidance anyway. Life out there--" Her thoughts drifted to a now-ancient conversation about pup-snatchers and wicked packs, "-- Is much less quiet than life here. Less quiet, and more dangerous. I'll accompany you, at least at first, to your family's old packlands."
She nuzzled Indie back gently and then teasingly lurched at Eva and licked up the side of her muzzle, producing a motherly smile and wagging her tail briefly afterwards to show she meant what she was saying. "I'll go talk with Rage. Until we tell the Alpha we are leaving, and clean up our den for some other family to use, we can't go anywhere."
