like

Wrex: alive/dead
council: save/abandon

Change the pathetic role of Kaidan/ Ashley in ME2.
They act completely out of character on Horizon, and then send a lame email apology!?

I'd like more possible ways for people to die at different times. A suicide mission is great, but if I'm in combat and my teammate goes down, they come back up again after combat is resolved. I'd like to see something happen to them so I have a more vested interest in using unity/medigel.

I think this is a pretty good idea, because, honestly, anyone on your squad could die anytime throughout the games, because you're going up against dangerous odds in both games. But I liked using unity, because most of the time I thought my squad was pretty helpful when alive. But it got real annoying if they died in the beginning of a big fight and I didn't have unity yet.

I've been playing Insanity mode on my Sentinel freshly transferred from ME1 and I find that Unity really finds its worth in the higher difficulties. There's also how it takes up 2 gels when both members fall and that can get costly quick if they keep dropping more than you'd like, so you're balancing between using the gel or finishing the fight with one member or just yourself where other times the ability the fallen member has is dreadfully needed in Insanity.

Medi-gel does seem like an object that should be considered more valuable than the impression you get from playing through the game though. If they added something in where if a party member stays down for good until you use medi-gel is what you're saying.. I think that could be interesting, aside from medi-gel only being obtainable throughout missions. It would become a bit of a hassle running out of medi-gel all of the time (especially in the higher difficulties) and party members being incapacitated because of it. I'd feel more like I was playing a survival game.

Personally, I'd love to have the ability to create my own, custom squad of characters in addition to being able to get the ones provided like Grunt and the rest of them. Some, if not most, of the characters in ME2 seemed so utterly useless and just sort of tossed in there to "Make the game cooler." Samira, and Jack stand out in my mind namely.
Jacob actually was involved enough not to be considered useless, samething for Miranada, Mordin, and Grunt. Legion was a nice addition. Thane was okay, they could've done without him and had no serious affect on the game.
It would be cool to create a custom soldier, give him a background history like he was a war hero or an expert sniper, has like 30 years of black ops speciality, be able to choose a voice for him from the a data bank, etc...
Or do a custom Krogan or something. You get the idea.
Just my opinion.
