((Hahaha, I'm tearing up while writing this))
*Hours after the incident*
Stormpelt paced around worriedly. Her apprentice was still not back. She finally decided to go search for her. She looked at Redtail, who was just as worried as her. "Let's go look for her," She sighed. They padded out of camp.
"Okay, you can look by Eagle perch, I'll look by dew rocks." Redtail nodded.
About an hour of searching, they still didn't find her. Redtail scented her here and there, but she was nowhere to be found. "Jaypaw!" She called. She heard Stormflight shriek in despair. She ran to Her, who was standing over a blue tabby's body. It was Jaypaw. "No," She whispered, pushing her nose in Jaypaw's fur. The body had no other scent, but there were indeed puncture wounds in her neck and her neck was twisted in an odd angle. "NO!" She half-choked-half-yowled. She laid her head on her sister's head. If only she had went with her.
Stormflight felt tears stream down her face as she licked her apprentice's face. She sat there, sobbing with Redtail, who kept saying it was her own fault.
About an hour later, they got up. "Should we carry her to camp?" Redtail asked, her voice cracking with sorrow.
"Yes, we will," Stormflight meowed sadly. She picked the tabby up by the scruff and drug Jaypaw back to camp.

"JAYPAW IS DEAD!" Redtail sobbed when they entered the camp.

Daykit wandered over to Pebblestar, who was grooming herself after finishing off a pika.
"Pebblestar, what happened to Stormflight and Redtail?" She asked.
"I believe they went out to find Jaypaw." She meowed simply. Daykit fidgited uncomfortably, she was worried. Not but a few minutes ago she was back in the forest of golden threads and she had followed two that were closely entertwined. They had formed a circle, and through it she could see a short scene both Redtail and Stormflight hovering over something, but their bodies were blocking the scene. She'd heard Stormflight let out a wail before the vision faded.
"Is something troubling you?" Pebblestar inquired.
"I don't believe today will be a good one." Daykit meowed.
"And why not? You've got your warriors ceremony today." Pebblestar meowed.
"I think it will be over-shadowed by something much bigger." Sadly, Daykit wandered back to the nursery, awaiting in misery for Stormflight and Redtail to return.

Redtail and Stormflight spotted Pebblestar. Stormflight left Jaypaw's body in the middle of the camp. She slowly made her way to Pebblestar. "Pebblestar, I have terrible news.," She began. She choked back tears as she meowed, "Jaypaw was attacked by an unknown source, and unfortunately, she died," Her voice cracked on the last word. She flicked her tail to where Redtail was crying over her friend's body.

Pebblestar at the limp body of Jaypaw. Steady calm engulfed her, as she tried to calm her fury. What could have done this, why would anyone have done this? It had to have been a rogue, no clan-cat would have done this.
"I'm sorry, Stormtail. We will sit vigil for her tonight." She meowed.
Daykit saw Jaypaw's body lying limp within the center of camp. She dared not go near her as icy cold sadness gripped her heart. Why couldn't she have done anything about it?
Daykit turned away, slinking into the nursery and lying down.

The deputy nodded sadly and padded to Redtail. "Let's clean her up," Stormflight meowed.
Redtail looked at Stormflight and nodded. "Who would do this?" She choked out loud. She buried her nose in the gray tabby's fur.
"I dunno," Stormflight sighed helplessly.

(Sorry I mean Snowstream. Patchfur is also a boy.)
Patchfur looked up. "Jaypaw?" he saw the limp body of the young apprentice, and his eyes clouded in greif.
Snowstream watched as they bruaght the murdered apprentice into the clearing, and went down to share tounged with her clanmate for the last time.
Littletail watched as his siblings went o sit vigil for Jaypaw, and he joined them.

Daykit sat miserably in her nest, wishing that she could have seen who had killed Jaypaw, but as she tried to find the forest of golden threads, it escaped her and she sat with sadness in the present.

Stormflight licked her maw sadly and padded out of camp, leaving her young friend's body in the clearing and Redtail behind.
"Why?!" She cried out in horror, the moonlight making her eyes glow menacingly. She stared up into the night sky. "Why did you take her?" She demanded, thinking of Jaypaw, who was probably staring down at her.
Stormflight padded all the way out to Dew rocks, where she had heard of Moonstorm almost dying there, hours before her warrior ceremony, during the battle of Twilightclan, Willowclan, and the Fellowship. She laid down next to the largest rock and set her nose to it. The rock was oddly warm, almost as if it had a flame under it. She quickly fell into a deep slumber.
Stormflight jolted to the sound of a familiar meow. "Jaypaw?" She mewed with hope, wishing that what had happened had been a bad dream. She opened her eyes. She was in a starry field. She sat up quickly, scared of her new surroundings. She saw the silver tabby padding to sit in front of the deputy. "Am I dead?!" She panicked.
"Why no, mouse brain, I just wanted to talk to you!" Jaypaw purred in amusement.
"Who did it?" She demanded an answer.
Jaypaw got a solemn look in her eyes. "It was Fletcher!" She cried with sadness.
Stormflight was puzzled. "Who's Fletcher?" She asked.
"A loner, Stormflight," She whispered.
"Where is she?" She asked, but as soon as she did, Jaypaw faded away.
Stormflight woke up with terror. She raced to camp.
As she was about to approach Pebblestar, she realized how silly it sounded. No one will believe me! She realized with horror. She slinked back to Jaypaw's body. She put her maw to her ear. "I will find Fletcher, and I will kill her," She whispered the promise to her as if she was still alive.

Daykit watched in horror as Stormflight ran from camp. She lept up, starting to run after, when suddenly she was in the dark forest again. Desperate, she followed a random thread and was frustrated to find that it wasn't about any cat she knew. But then, she looked closer.
A beautifully dappled silver and white she-cat was speaking with a black flecked tom. She seemed to be calm, only her emerald green eyes betrayed her true feelings.
"Are you certain about this?" The tom asked her.
"It's the only place left for them Nightwing, I can't force them to go back." She meowed.
"That's not the point! You're dooming us all!" He hissed.
"I'm not going to condem them based on a fleeting dream!" She snapped. The tom visibly flinched and her eyes shown in remorse. "I can't believe that killing cats is what I am to do." The silver she-cat meowed.
The tom looked back at her with understanding in his eyes, simply meowing, "I know."
Daykit tripped over her own paws, bringing herself back to the present. She sat up, staring helplessly at the camp entrance.

Stormflight paced around camp, wondering what she should do. Should I go find this Fletcher? She wondered angrily. She looked up at the sky. The sun was beginning to set. Daykit would be an apprentice very soon. She silently hoped to mentor the kit. She had been longing to have an apprentice again. It wasn't the same without Jaypaw.
Stormflight padded to Pebblestar. "Pebblestar, when are we having Daykit's apprenticing ceremony? The deputy asked. "And also, I was wondering, Could I mentor her?" She meowed hopefully.
Redtail smiled in a sad way. "Well, you must be in a pretty great place," She sighed. She had been talking to the apprentice all night.
"Maybe, just maybe, I'll be up there one day to share a mouse with you, just how we used to when I was an apprentice and you were a mere kit," She purred, holding onto the memory as long as she could before it floated away, like her breath in leaf-bare. "I will always remember you, even when I'm an elder, almost ready to join Starclan. You will be waiting for me and I'll be ready," She smiled as a mournful howl began to climb up her throat. She tried to hold it back, emitting an odd choking-laughing-crying sound. She continued to talk to the apprentice as if she was actually there.

"Yes, we need something to distract the clan from the cat hunt of Jaypaw's murder. We can't just have everyone drop everything, though I promise we will get revenge." Pebblestar meowed. She ran and lept onto the ledge of her den, yowling for all the cats to gather.
"Today we make one deserving kit an apprentice! Daykit, step forth." She waited as the golden cat stepped forward. "As is customary when a cat has reached six moons, Daykit you shall become an apprentice! From this day until you recieve your warrior name, you shall be known as Daypaw! May StarClan light your path to becoming a warrior, and as for your mentor, I can think of none other than Stormflight. May she guide you and teach you well."
Daypaw trembled out neither fear nor excitement as the clan began to cheer her name. She touched noses with her new mentor, when suddenly she once again found herself in the dark forest. Only this time, instead of allowing her to follow a thread, she was already viewing something. Large cats made of earth gathered around her clan-mates who hissed in defiance. They stood their ground though she could see clearly the fear in their eyes. Then she saw Pebblestar leap at the first mud-cat, screaming for her clan to follow. Blood splayed her face, and Daypaw blinked, shocking herself back into the present. She stared at Stormflight helplessly for a single heart beat before averting her gaze.

Stormflight purred with delight. She touched noses with Daypaw. She looked around as the whole clan chanted the new apprentice's name. She looked down at Daypaw, who was staring away. "Nervous?" She asked the apprentice, who had a blank face.
"Daypaw!" Redtail chanted along with the clan, excited that Stormflight got an apprentice so soon after her last one. Her thoughts slowly drifted to Jaypaw, who was probably staring down at her old mentor now. She sighed sadly.

Daypaw blinked, and looked back at her, becoming aware that her new mentor hadn't known anything.
"No, it's nothing." She meowed.

Daypaw padded away from her mentor once the ceremony was over, and she padded over to where she knew the moss was and began to gather some for her bedding in the apprentice den. She made her bed in the far corner of the den and settled down.
Pebblestar jumped down from her perch and spotted Darkpaw watching her from the corner. She ignored the young cat and padded over to the camp entrance, and bounded out, deciding that she would go out hunting.
