I shall now demonstrate the Law of Sacae
Tribesmen fighting with all they have for the sake of one another!

~)Sue(~
Sue heard Deborah's comments well enough, and wasn't the spear-wielding woman right in the respect that they were wasting too much time? There wasn't even the luxury of waiting to hear Alihi's plans while being stationary, they'd have to hear the strategy on the go. It was a good thing that the Nomad Trooper hadn't dismounted, or that would be more time wasted. "Forward, Andre." Sue whispered. She knew what her father's ally must have thought, that she was send in Rath's stead... but soon enough, that would be proven wrong.

Sue was an individual, riding forward for a cause that she believed in. Nothing else at the moment seemed to matter. There would always be those whom doubted her, or cast her in Rath's shadow, and all there was left to do was to make these people eat their words. Rescuing the little girl was only a start.

[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ]

Blossom found herself lost in thought, watching other people arrive. Should I have thought to bring more supplies? Blossom looked at herself, then peeped into her bag. Her typical supplies were in there, but she hadn't thought to check her rations or her canteen; the latter could very well be empty. Maybe there's an oasis on the way. Or I'm lucky and that canteen has water in it? Blossom started to open her mouth, one hand reaching for Alihi's cloak, but then the tall, semi-frightening woman with the dreadlocks spoke up, drowning out Blossom's whispers.

Blossom immediately fell silent, and as Deborah walked off, she once again had to wonder if she was actually being smart to follow them, given the circumstances. She contemplated for a moment, then sighed and trotted along after her. They would make sure she didn't die of dehydration or something.

Right?

The more people that were arriving, the more confident Alihi felt about the success of this mission she was about to lead. She nodded to Roy. "I hope so, too. I have high hopes..." Her hand rested against her rapier, curling around the hilt. Indeed, she had high hopes. It was either success... or failure. We won't fail. She told herself, biting the inside of her cheek.

When Mihira approached her, her friendly smile broadened. "Mihira, hm? I'm glad you did find that out... We wouldn't be here otherwise!" She nodded slightly at Mihira. "I thank you from the bottom of my heart..."

People kept arriving, some faces familiar and some not. Whoa. She blinked, nodding to Joshua when he approached her. "The more, the better..." I thought it would only be a couple of people coming at the most! This is great!

"Umm, your daughter! Did she have any relationship with the man who was stabbed?"

She froze. "N-no..." The tactician managed to say in reply to Jaren, trying so hard not to cry right then and there. The question brought up an image of a person she was trying to keep away this whole time. "Her father... isn't here. And my brother wasn't stabbed." Saying this, she looked around once more for Akihi, not noticing that Ephraim just whacked Jaren over the head. She wasn't going to say anything more on that subject. Much to her comfort, Akihi was there, standing a bit separate from the group, tome in hand and a rather large pack on his back.

She gave him a nod before turning to the pegasus knight. "Of course! We could always use more fliers..." Next, she turned to the orange-haired sniper who shyly addressed her. "Thank you, Elly." Alihi smiled slightly, patting Elhaym on the shoulder. "And please, there's no need for formality. Just 'Alihi' works."

Her hand lifted off of the sniper's shoulder a moment later as she heard a familiar voice. "Sue!" She gave her friend a confident nod. "Glad you are here." The tactician noticed Ninian's approach and she waved. "Glad you're coming along, Ninian..."

Hearing Deborah's words, she nodded yet again and called out to the group. "Let's head out!" She started walking forward, Akihi close by her side. Carefully, she took the pack from him, swinging it onto her own back. Already her mind was buzzing, trying to formulate some sort of plan while wondering what exactly was in store for them. She bit her bottom lip gently.

Alihi would save Amara, no matter what it took.

Sure enough, he was right. More people did decide to show up. There was Joshua, and Jaren (he waved back in silence when the boy addressed him). Elly and Sue had shown up as well. There was also a pegasus unit out here, and a wyvern unit as well. Ephraim smacked Jaren, probably because he mentioned Alihi's daughter so casually. He probably didn't realize how grave a situation this was. After all, none of them knew the girl's condition. He noticed Akihi, just a little away from the others. The young lord waved at him.

And then he saw his mother.

Why was she coming out here? They were going to the desert! Sure, they were both ice dragons, but his fire affinity canceled out his weakness to hot areas. But even so...he understood her reasoning for coming out here. Roy wasn't going to stop his Mother. He didn't have the right to do that anyway.

"Stay close to me when we reach the desert. The heat can't be good for you." he said softly, looking up at his mother.

And then he heard the dark-skinned woman speak. Right...looks like this was everyone that decided to come. Though, he wasn't sure if he did like her attitude. Since Alihi was in charge of the whole operation, wouldn't she decide how they would move and such? Then again, this person might know the area better (he knew it fairly well, but then again, he hadn't explored every inch of the area).

He took a few steps forward, out of the city. Pausing for a moment, Roy turned around to look at his Mother. He would look out for her. After all, this was the role a son had to fulfill for his mother. He held his hand out.

"Shall we get going, Mother?" he asked, a small smile on his face.

It didn't really matter if they did right away, the road would lead them to the border at least. But, she should probably make sure they all remain together. Getting separated would make her look bad, as a guide. She wasn't willing to risk anything that might get in the way of her mission. And she sure as heck wouldn't allow it to fail, because of some idiots who didn't know how to follow.

After realizing that the group was on their way, Deborah slowed her pace and allowed Alihi to catch up to her. The girl looked determined, and Deborah liked that. She looked like she knew exactly what she was getting into. That at least deserved some respect. She didn't want to have much small talk with people, but walking all the way to the border and beyond without one word would be incredibly boring. It would be fine, if they talked about things that would benefit their trip. "So.. ya got any plans, tactician? Ya reputation precedes ya. We should share information, to make our mission it easier. Maybe ya want some info on Sentria itself."

"I'm not sure who's running Jehanna... probably that little toadie of an adviser Muudon... I hope not though he won't be able to take power right away because even though I'm King I still disappeared once in a while to find a good gambling hall...." Joshua straightened his hat on his head turning to face the man who bumped into them... wait.... why was he dressed like a cow? "We're going to rescue her daughter. To the desert actually." he said in answear to Jaren's question. Before turning around to catch up to Alihi. He had something to give her and as he stepped up beside her he noticed the other women was already talking to her so he waited

Jaren nodded at the answear. "Thanks alot I'll go tell Derrin!" As he turned to leave some body holding a long stick cracked him on the head. "Ow! Hey! What was that for? Tone it down? What about you I just asked a question and you whack me with your lance!" Jaren heard the Red-haired mans words as he whined at Ephraim. "A desert? Like sand desert? Cool! And you know where that little girl is.... hmmmm Derrin would be much more pleased if I brought the girl back rather than just silly information that gets me whacked over the head.... Okay I'm coming with you!" Jaren looked up and already saw everyone was leaving. "H-hey! Wait up!" as he ran Jaren pulled out the stiching for the hoof gloves so he could get his hands free.

Alihi shifted the pack on her back as she walked. The way that she had it, her cloak's clip was forced close to her neck, which wasn't the most comfortable of feelings. With one hand, she unclipped the cloak and yanked it off of her shoulders and out from under the pack. It took quite a bit of effort but eventually she had her cloak bundled up and in the crook of her arm. Noticing that Deborah was slowing down, she picked up her own pace a bit. She might as well get to know their guide, right?

"I... don't have any plans. Not yet." Alihi replied hesitantly, her expression wavering between a friendly and sheepish smile and a worried frown. Though she didn't want to admit it, she was practically rushing in blindly and hoping for the best result. "You see, I'm still learning about the areas... I don't know much about anywhere outside of Learania." She looked up to the sky for a moment, shifting the pack on her back again. "All I really know about Sentria is that it's a desert-region. And, well, the more that I know, the easier it'll be to make a plan... So information would be very much appreciated." She smiled slightly at Deborah.

"Madam Alihi! May I join your path?" He slightly shouted which had to look very odd coming from the Entombed. A zombie shouting isn't seen every day. Charles had hoped they wouldn't be traveling too fast, he wasn't built for speed.

Ganon

There was a crunching, rumbling noise somewhere behind the group at large, and a monstrous hairy beast came trundling up the cart path. Behind it sat a large, shiny green figure, dressed in black and holding a guitar in his lap. And behind the reptile was a big wooden wagon covered with a white cloth tarp to afford plenty of shady room. After word had begun to circulate about the plan to send a group to Sentria, Ganon had decided to take off work for a few days.

Cleaning out the cart and putting everything inside into storage had taken about an hour and a half, but he'd been meaning to do that for a while anyway, so it all worked out. Even his bed had been discarded, and instead he'd just packed some extra sleeping rolls and food in there. Oh, and several gallons of water.

"You all seemed like you were in a hurry," he called as he came up into the middle of the group. "Sorry I'm late, there was a line at the well." Not everyone would be able to fit into his wagon, but it was made for the quite large Ganon and everything he carried with him from place to place. Several would be able to comfortably sit in there. "Let me come with, doesn't look like anyone else thought to bring a set of wheels." He winked (or blinked) at Deborah, then plucked a few notes and his ox huffed and stopped walking to let people climb in the back.

Jaren turned at the sound of new voices and his surprised showed when he saw an Entombed and the giant lizard that kept beating him up!.

"Ahhhh!" He schreeched reaching into his cow suit and pulling out his wooden sword (after he almost got kicked out of the guard for not haveing a sword he started carrying it everywhere.) The Lizard was on a cart with an Ox. "Figmant of my imagination!" he screamed at it as it spoke running by towards the entombed.

Jumping in the air he brought the wooden sword down on its head. "Foul evil beast! Don't worry i'll kill it!" Jaren said smacking it with his wooden sword repeatedly

If they were too numerous, they would move slow and be easily noticed. On the other hand, this wagon would provide nice cover for them.

She ignored the creature as it winked a her, and payed no attention to the people as they begun to climb on his wagon. She could walk just fine. She needed no special treatment. Others like the slowpoke, the idiot, and the fragile dancer could take advantage of the wagon instead.

Deborah turned back to Alihi, as the interruptions quieted down. "Sure, I can tell ya about Sentria. Aftah all, it where I first showed up, in dis world." She grew a smile. "Walked right into a bandit hideout! Yeah, dat group don't exist nomore. When I traveled dah sands, I leant just how many bandit groups dere were. Deh country did have a ruler like normal countries at one time. Heard he was a fine man. Den all deh bandits came in, and fought against him. He fought back, but deh bandits became too many. Deh capital now lies in ruins, and deh king has been lost. Bandits rules dese lands, now." She glanced at Alihi, to see if she had become worried. "But don' worry, I know how tah get around deh larger groups." Deborah looked ahead again. "Dere's deh lake up ahead. We be crossin' da rivah soon."

Ephraim ignored the...man in the weird a** cow suit. Pretending he didn't exist at all which wasn't all that hard. But damn was he loud. If they weren't in need of soldiers or risk having casualties, the prince would probably smack him silly with Reginlief..or worse..never the less. Whatever was directed to him by this..creature was brushed aside.

The one called Deborah suggested they'd get moving. Which was a good idea. They had a good amount of people and considering the tower was outside of Learania, it could take them a few days to even get there...Few people chose to walk, while others decided to jump on the wagon. Ephraim for one, felt like walking, so walking it was.

((Too lazy to switch to Elly so I"m making her post here too))

The sniper let out a heavy sigh, nodding at the tactician's comment on 'no formality'. She was a bit relieved that there were other females among the group..though the numbers of male still overpowered them...AH! Shake it off Elly. The moment they started to move, Elhaym jumped a bit and ran after the others but not after jumping into the wagon. She sat at the edge, legs dangling off the edge with her bow in her lap.

~Ninian~

Ninian smiled at Roy, though she could see the worry in his eyes. She nodded and walked beside Roy as they followed the dark-skinned woman and Alihi. Ganon's sudden appearance with a cart surprised her, though not as much as the appearance of the walking corpse. She edged a little closer to Roy after she spotted it.

He's offering rides to those who need it, she realized as Ganon stopped his cart. I can walk, but once we reach the desert. . . . She knew the desert heat would not agree with her, so perhaps once they reached the desert, she would accept a ride from the bard.

"Please, take my arm. I do not want to see you collapse in this heat."

"Oh, I couldn’t . . ."

"Oh, come now."

"Very well . . ."

Ninian shook her head, trying not to think of the last time she had been in a desert. The heat wasn't the only thing she didn't want to remember.

I wanna be where you are
Maybe I'm not so far from home
PostPosted: Sun Oct 18, 2009 2:02 pm

When we get home, I know we won't be home at all...
... This place we live; it is not where we belong.

• ◄AKIHI► •

Alihi blinked, turning around when hearing her name called from behind.

What she saw was not expected. "A-ah... s-sure! I guess..." She shouted back at Charles, the fact that she was talking to a freaking Entombed lingering in her mind and threatened to label her as insane. ... Maybe I shouldn't have announced it to so many people... The tactician thought, glancing at the group. It was large, larger than she expected, considering the urgency and the lack of time she gave them to prepare. There was also an extreme lack of magic users, the only one being Akihi, who was just a mage. Too late now. She closed her eyes slightly. We'll just deal with it...

Akihi, upon noticing the cart stop by them, jogged up to his sister. "Ah... let me take the pack. I assume you're walking?" He asked Alihi softly, holding out his hands.

She nodded, shrugging off the pack and handing it over. "Thanks!" Once Akihi climbed into the back of the cart, she turned back to Deborah. At the mentioning of bandits, her heart beat faster but she didn't dare to show any expression change on her face. "I see..." The thought of entering a country ruled by bandits unnerved her a bit, but she shook it off. "Might cause some problems, but nothing too serious..." I hope.

Alihi smiled at Deborah. "I'm glad I can count on you." She looked ahead when Deborah mentioned the lake, and a pang of emotion hit her. After all, she lives by the lake with her daughter and her dear friend, Abel. The thought of it sent guilt through her entire body and sorrow set into her mind once more.

After she shook her head, the feeling faded. It was temporary, though; she knew the feeling would come back eventually. "I see..." She murmured softly, staring at the lake with a blank expression.

Akihi, meanwhile, held the pack in his lap, his arms wrapped loosely around it. His tome was squished between himself and the bag. It wasn't that he couldn't walk; it was more that he didn't have enough strength to walk with the bag at the same time. Unlike his sister, he didn't need to rely on his physical abilities as much in battle. Which is a good thing, since I don't have much strength... He rested his hands against his biceps. Nope, not a lot of muscle there. He sighed quietly to himself, staring up to the sky.

♦ ◄ALIHI► ♦

And I miss who we were, and the town we could call our own...
... Going back to get away after everything has changed.
