Chieira I keep having problems with people applying to join, but not answering the questions on the main page in their application. I'm assuming we're supposed to turn them down when that happens... Eh, yeah, that's what I mean, actually. ^^; I am not specific enough! >_O;;Let's make the red font bigger and bolder. surprised

We'll need to talk to Wing about this. Actually, I had an addition to that idea that my Internet connection wouldn't let me post. Here's what I had before it crashed (which it shouldn't be doing anytime in the future): I EDIT: Or we could supply a link to the rule sticky on the portal page. At the end, we could put something like: Quote: Put *insert pass-phrase here* in your application to show that you've read the rules! If you don't, your request will be declined! Or something? I think that would be more conducent to having rules read, but it depends on how a**l Wing is on having them read beforehand. Although if people don't even bother to read the whole front page... -_-;;

Yeah, I like that idea. And, if we're going to provide a link to the rules in there, then maybe include in the rules that it's necessary to answer those questions on the front page in your application? Because, honestly, I've had to turn several people down for not answering those questions. Or would the link to the rules and that word that they'd include in the application to show they'd read them eliminate the need for those questions?

Still, I think only the captain has the ability to edit the front page.

You know what? I think we should also put the real definition of yaoi in the rule sticky. I've been around the A/M/C forum a lot and I'm scared someone will eat me if I let people use the wrong/half-right definition. sweatdrop
Oh, it hurts me inside when I have to decline people. cry

Do you mean the people who get it confused with shounen-ai? I don't turn those down, since yaoi's sort of become a universal term for boyxboy, but it might be something we should mention. Since younger people could pop in here and be offended by some of the threads.

Yeah, I've been accepting them, but I just think maybe they should know. Getting my head bitten off is not something I enjoy, and even though I doubt it will actually happen....the A/M/C traumatized me. T__T;; Any saving of flames and ill feelings is good.
