Fleance's brows furrowed and he reached out to pat the young god. "You've still got plenty of learning to do and lots of time to do it, Khuluma." He felt badly for bringing a frown to the boy's face and he tried to right it.
"I still don't know all my powers myself, the first thing I noticed was that I sneeze ashes sometimes- but that's hardly a power at all." The older god frowned too. "Come on, you'll be great! More lions will need you than will ever need me. Kings and rulers will call for your aid. I'm just an afterthought of disaster!" He tried to make his grimace a grin, and belittling himself did come naturally, but he never really used it to try to cheer up another. "If you think I'm great, just wait 'till you grow to adolescence. You'll be one hundred times better than you are now- and a thousand times better than me." He nodded, quite sure of what he was saying.

It was nice that Ashes was being kind to him, but it didn't go unrealized that he was also putting himself down in the process. Comments were one thing, but if you made your company feel miserable while they were doing it, they were bound to feel bad whenever they were around you, right? That wasn't his aim, and while he smiled at the encouragement that he would turn out to be someone amazing, he wanted to return the favor.
"An afterthought is still a thought, and aren't all gods created through the minds of mortals? I think that a God of Ashes is better than not being anything at all. I could be the God of Dirt or Flies and still be glad for it. We all have our purpose. I'm still no where as important as, say, Love or Happiness, so we're all small in comparison to someone else." He just realized he should have known this and that perked him up as well. "Yeeaah. We're all great in our own way. I'm sure you're powerful in your own way." What did Ashes serve, anyways? He wasn't that sure. "Anyways, powers or not, you're still very nice. A good person and a good God." He stated, matter-o-factly.

Fleance ruffled his young company's mane affectionately, but taking great care not to disturb the golden mane or the branch-antlers specifically. He was such a nice young gentleman, and would surely turn out to be a great god, regardless of domain. If he were, as he'd said, the god of flies or dirt, he'd be the best of anything.
Fleance laughed, "I guess it could be considered a good thing to be a god or goddess, regardless of the domain. I rather like long life."
He left out that he didn't typically have any.
"You're a good kid, Khuluma. And you'll grow into an excellent god soon enough- sooner than you think." Fleance nodded. "It was my pleasure entirely to meet you."
