"Mmm! I want to see the Final Fantasy!" She said pointing a half distracted finger at him while juggling pretzel and drink for a moment.
"Im not sure about the action shows..." SHe confessed... "I like the medical dramas.." She beamed "And now they have one on that's all about pharensic pathology! Studying dead people! And how you can tell how they died by marks on thier bones or bodies! How long they -lay- in one position... its SOOOO cool"

Wait... did she just say, she WANTED to see Final Fantasy as well?! Dude, girls weren't usually that cool right? Maybe she was secretly a guy.. oh god was he gay?!
He looked at her, REALLY looked at her, as if trying to figure out if he was perhaps talking to yet another alien. What normal human would like game shows and studying dead people at the same time?!
Toby made a face. "Why would they want to look at dead bodies? Aren't there enough in the-" and here he had to stop himself for a second, as he realized he had almost given away something crucial -"movies we have already?" he finished rather lamely. "I mean, if I ever saw a dead body, I wouldn't exactly be prodding it." He picked at a corner of his pretzel distractedly and flicked it to the ground, watching a nearby squirrel - she was right there sure were a lot of squirrels! - run away with the morsel.
Wait, maybe that wasn't the right thing to say. "Err, what I mean is, there's sure a lot of violence going on recently too." He looked at her, trying to make light conversation and change the topic a bit. "What do you think about those so-called terrorist attacks?"

She blushed a little "I guess its a -little- creepy, but I'd love to do that, I mean... their dead they don't -care-...and it'd be so cool to know WHY their dead...you know?"
She paused and thought about the other question.
"I don't know?...It seems... weird? I don't really see whats happening matching up with 'terrorist' activity, WIERD yes but, shouldn't there be like... poison gas or something?" I just... I think theirs something more too It..." She shrugged and then jumped a little as a tinny rendition of 'one winged angel' - suddenly started sounded from...
her pocket?
She fished out a cell phone and glanced at the number before making a face and answering.
"Hi mom!... No... I... MOOOOmmmMMMMMmm... Yeah... mmmhmm...OK!...Yes...Yes I promise I'll...NO!... God Mommmmm....*sigh* I'll be right there... The Park...ok!...Love you!"
She hung up and gave an apologetic shrug and smile. "That would be the round up..." she apologized.
"It was nice meeting you though! I'll see you at school?"

He nearly jumped a foot as he heard the cell phone ring (his first thought was wildly looking around for any silver-haired antagonists before the girl picked up the phone).
Cue the conversation with herself and an inanimate object (and people thought HE was weird!) before a brief but almost disappointing conclusion.
Toby smiled anyway, slightly distracted at one of the park-goers who had their wallet a little too loosely in their pant pocket. "Huh - oh yeah!" Whoops, pretty girl still here. "I had a blast with you Ume, thanks for the giant pretzels and soda!"
With a little wave, he nodded. "Understood, parents and stuff. I'll see you in school for sure," - if I show up for class next week - "Lets talk more about ah, dead things and stuff ok?"
That's what she liked right? Oh boy was this new girl unusual but hey, if she was willing to talk to him and be nice about it, there was no way he wouldn't see her again. Toby gave one last goodbye wave to them, watching them leave (really, watching to make sure she wasn't watching him), before turning his attention to something else at hand. Now.. where was he....?
