Kevin Kinto Monkey Sage Jounin of Mist Kevin walked to the entrance of the lands of the monkey. He looked back at the land with a smile. He was just now realizing he'd been there for 4 years. The elder walked up to him. "Good luck, use this only when needed, the war may call for it." Kevin nodded and waved goodbye as he walked out for the Mist village.

A monkey returned from being summoned in Sand, handing a scroll to his leader, Enma. He opened it to reveal a seal with 'human' written within the middle. Biting his thumb, he made the proper handseals and summoned the former Mizukage, Rin. She was indeed injured, but nowhere near a life-threatening amount. If anything, she seemed to be healing rather quickly. "I wonder if it really was necessary for me to go to these lengths..." She mused to herself, an expression of guilt and overall sadness at the fact that she had to trick everyone she knew in order to make her plans function properly. The Monkey King simply shook his head at the distress of the original sage. "Whatever the reason, it would be best for you to remain here to train yourself. Don't forget that it won't turn out well if you're discovered to be alive." The summon advised, hich was agreed upon wordlessly by Rin.

Mizu no Yoroi (Water Armor) Rin positioned herself near a running stream deeper within the jungles of the Sage lands and summoned the Head Cleaving Sword, which she let rest in her palm with ease. For one reason or another, molding water-based chakra was much easier as long as she had it in hand or nearby. As she was planning to master as much of the water element as possible beforehand, she planned to rely on this ability to make her progress move quicker than it would normally. (1/2) She placed her hand into the stream of running water and released a small amount of chakra. The water stuck to her hand and crawled up until her entire body was covered in a thin armor of sorts. To experiment with this technique, she started performing a few easy sword techniques using the Head Cleaving Sword and found it to her liking. It did very little to restrict her movement and moved around as easily as she could. Upon deciding that it was a success, she canceled the new technique. (2/2)
Deido Tama (Mud Ball) Rin moved onto a new technique once she had the first one finished, having no intentions of stopping for a break until she had learned and mastered every suiton ninjutsu at the level she was working on. With her inability to have learned them sooner, she had her work cut out for her. Still, these needed to be finished before she could master the other four elements she could use. (1/2) Opening one of the many scrolls she had taken from Vapour before her departure, she read over the other techniques before trying a new one. She took a deep breath and concentrated chakra into her mouth. Exhaling quickly, she released a dense ball of mud that went sailing across the stream before hitting a tree on the opposite side. From there, she watched as the mud hardened into a solid shell, the perfect imprisonment type move for those who lacked any real physical strength. (2/2)
Suikusari no Jutsu (Water Chains Technique) For the next move, Rin needed another to experiment the technique on. So she formed a few handseals and created a water clone to stand on top of the stream. From there, she went back to studying the needed handseals and started to perform them just as they were written in the scroll. She placed her hand on the surface of the water and started the channel her chakra through it at a steady pace. The water beneath the clone started to shift as a result. (1/2) Within moments, thick chains of water shot up from the stream and bound the clone. The imitation struggled against the bounds in various ways as the chains started to drag it under. However, a certain amount of strength seemed enough to allow the clone to move again. Rin took note of this limitation and tried placing more chakra into the chains. It worked better, yet not enough to be of any real productive use compared to the original amount. (2/2)
Mizu no Yaiba (Water Sword) Rin focused on the next technique, again placing her hands into the water. This time, she planned on forming the water into a familiar weapon, a sword. Chakra emitted from her hand in the shape of a blade. She took hold of the weapon and pulled it out of the stream to examine it at a closer angle. The edge could be sharpened or dulled depending on her preferences. The length and density were also fairly easy to manipulate after she messed around with the concept for a while longer. (1/2) Swinging the blade around a bit, Rin decided to take a new spin onto the technique. She expanded the sword and made it both larger and heavier. She took the time to form certain smaller details until it was a clear replica of her Head Cleaving Sword. Keeping a firm grip on the hilt, she stood up properly and started to swing around the blade. Even if it was the same size as a cleaver, it was considerably lighter from what she could tell. Yet from the way she had managed to gash a nearby tree, it was just as dangerous as any weapon made of steel. (2/2)

Mizurappa (Violent Water Wave) Rin continued her onslaught of training, already taking out another scroll without any signs of stopping until she had mastered at least another portion of the Suiton element even if she had done a considerable amount already. Her work would be far from over after this, as there were quite a few daunting tasks ahead of her, particularly learning how to use her demon to the greatest of its abilities. It was too soon for her to reappear, but if she wanted to aid the others, she had to remain at a harsh pace. (1/2) With a sigh, the missing-nin read over the scroll she had in her hands, analyzing the next technique she needed to learn at a fairly quick pace. When she had a fairly solid grasp of the technique, she decided to try it out on the tree opposite of her. Forming a few handseals, she took in a deep breath and expelled chakra from her mouth. It formed as water, blasting into the dense bark within a short amount of time. When the ninjutsu was halted, a visible dent could be seen within the tree. (2/2) Mizutamari Yusuo no Jutsu (Water Puddle Transportation) Rin looked over the next technique of many that she was required to learn and sighed. At least she could kill two birds with one stone by practicing a technique that she recently learned while experimenting with a new one. She stood up and set her equipment on the shore, stepping onto the cool waters of the running stream. Chakra pulsed through the bottom of her feet to keep her afloat, although it would not remain this way if the next ninjutsu was a success. (1/2) Taking a calming breath, the kunoichi formed several handseals and released the chakra in her feet. Her physical form melted into nothing but water, dropping harmlessly into the moving stream. Her body rematerialized a bit further away, appearing as if she had not melted into water in the first place. To make sure that she had the jutsu mastered for sure, Rin disappeared and reappeared from various areas in the water for a good few minutes. Once she was comfortable with her grasp on the technique, she moved onwards. (2/2) Water Release • Tentacle Barrage Fury (Suiton • Shokushu Rendan Kyouran) The next technique on the Suiton scroll was a tad more active than the ones she had been working on so far, although she did not mind it in the least. The goal was to learn as many techniques as possible within a short amount of time after all. Rin copied the handseals that were written within the slightly faded ink and channeled a decent amount of chakra as she did so. The water rippled and shifted in a reaction to the jutsu, rising up to form eight slightly weakened tentacles. (1/2) Upon seeing this result, Rin canceled the technique and tried again, this time using a slightly different approach to the formation of the water tentacles. The second attempt produced greater results than the first. Now, the tentacles were stronger in appearance as well as in reality. She tossed a few kunai at them, which they caught and threw up into the air like some sort of juggling act with eight arms. The short spectacles finished as the artificial limbs slid under the surface silently, appearing to have never existed in the first place. (2/2)

Water Release • Water Demon's Appetite (Suiton • Mizu Oni Kuike) Rin reached the end of the C-Ranked water scroll, which contained only one more ninjutsu that she could possibly learn from the ones she had already. A slight sense of renewed energy returned at this thought, for she could finally move onto other areas that she needed improvement in ninjutsu-wise after this. It was only a matter of time, which she found herself severely lacking more often than not nowadays. Even now, she could feel a strange disturbance in the air that made her more than a little jittery. (1/2) Forming the handseals that were shown, as she had done multiple times before, Rin focused her attention onto the water. The water appeared to be within a somewhat disturbed state, rising upwards to form a head very similar to the Gobi. The demon opened its large jaws and snapped down onto nothing but air. Opening its mouth again, a tongue made of water shot out to grab a tree branch and drag it down into the stream below. (2/2) Doton: Jihibiki Kansei no Jutsu (Earth Release: Earth Tremor Sense Technique) Rin started on a few more different techniques, pulling out several scrolls and scanning through them in a somewhat bored fashion. She had already learned the majority of the water-based techniques leading up to Chuunin level, but she did not want to lag too far behind with the other elements, especially if there was one which would give her a greater advantage compared to the rest. Such a technique was found in a Chuunin-level scroll, this time a Doton-element. (1/5) Reading over the contents of the scroll, Rin started to channel chakra into the fingertips of her hands. It pulsed gently, an odd mixture of her darker purple chakra blending with the violet chakra of the Gobi. By drawing on just a bit of power from the biju, she could reduce the amount of energy she wasted by at least half, allowing her to learn more within a shorter amount of time in the exact same manner as a real ninjutsu user. With that thought in mind, she went into a comfortable position and placed her palm on the ground, sending pulses of chakra into the ground. (2/5) Frowning slightly, Rin searched for some sort of feeling as she kept a steady supply of chakra entering the ground. On occasion, she could feel a very distinct movement from somewhere, although she had yet to learn how to pinpoint where or what it was that created the odd sensation. From what she knew, it would take a considerable amount of time to tell the difference between the movement of an animal and the movement of a human. (3/5) Slowly and steadily, the movements became a little more pronounced to her senses. She could tell the size of a creature and how fast it was traveling through the pulses that were forced into the earth at a constant rate. Rin felt herself calming as the feeling of a small bug walking across a moving leaf to her left was detected. As long as she maintained the connection, she had an almost surreal view of the area within a half mile of herself. It was a high peculiar type of situation to be in. (4/5) Rin spent what felt like an hour in the meditative stance. Her hand remained on the ground, picking up every minute movement that she could detect within the given radius. It was a fairly impressive range too, more than enough to detect anyone coming long before they actually did so. For what she was anticipating on within the next few days or so, this was a quality that she did not mind having, especially if it meant gaining an advantage over some less than friendly visitors. Katon: Nenshou Tosshin (Fire Release: Burning Rush) The next technique that Rin randomly selected was a Katon-based ninjutsu. This was rather interesting, as she rarely used the element save for one move that she had gone through great pains to learn. Then again, it proved to be an incredibly effective strand of ninjutsu depending on who her opponent was. As she was sure that there was a good chance of coming across certain members of the Hyouton clan, it never hurt to learn just a little more about how to use strength and heat. (1/5) Glancing over the seals, Rin concentrated on drawing out the Katon element with a highly limited amount of difficulty. It was as easy as breathing to switch between the elements now. She started to form the handseals that were described in the scroll, slowly adding an accumulating amount of chakra into the technique in the hopes that it would work properly. Although, if it were anything like her other attempts at new technique so far, the results would be positive ones. (2/5) The first part of the ninjutsu commenced, hot flames moving upwards to create a solid sphere of flames around Rin in a protective manner. She maintained the handseals and the fire swirled around her as if to gather strength from the chakra that she fed the odd structure. It complied well with this, intensifying in heat before breaking up. However, instead of dispersing, the fire started a new series of movements, spiraling around Rin’s body and circling closer. (3/5) Flames wrapped themselves along Rin’s arms and shoulders, forming a light armor of sorts that did nothing to harm her. However, from the energy that was radiating from the temporary defense, it was safe to assume that it was not the same for her surroundings. So this was the secondary effect to the ninjutsu, at least she assumed that was what it was. Energy flooded through Rin’s system as the flames danced along her skin, so much so that she just had to start moving. (4/5) She took off through the jungle at blinding speeds, relishing the amount of renewed vigor that pumped through her veins. Anything that was directly in her way was severely singed, yet she moved too fast for the fire to sit long enough to cause any serious trouble. It felt as though the ninjutsu was actually increasing her already daunting amount of speed. The adrenaline blasted through her system until she returned to her training sanctuary, finally wearing off as the jutsu had. (5/5)

Fuuton: Tei Hakusha (Wind Release: Air Riding) The next on her varied lists of technique to learn was a Fuuton-based ninjutsu called Fuuton: Tei Hakusha (Wind Release: Air Riding) from what she knew. The name was an intriguing one and with the amount of time she found herself flying in some unknown direction, a technique that she guessed would be put to good use on a regular basis. It also mentioned a significant boost in speed and agility, another aspect that was greatly welcomed. (1/5) Rin formed the handseals that were mentioned in the scroll and a rough orb of wind gathered at her feet. It was fairly weak for a good amount of time before she placed more chakra into the wind. Now, a denser orb of swirling wind nearly knocked her off of her feet, catching her before she could hit the ground. A light realization hit at this and she sat up properly, looking below her. She found herself hovering a few feet off of the ground on this orb created of nothing more than wind. (2/5) This startling fact again set the normally grounded taijutsu user off-balance, completely unsure of how she was really staying afloat. For these reasons, she went back to examining the scroll about the abilities of her current technique. Somewhere, it mentioned that she could control the speed and direction that the orb traveled at. Deciding that now was as good a time as any to test out that concept, she closed her eyes and set off at a rather high speed. (3/5) As the orb took off, the kunoichi was more prepared than she had been before. She relaxed and let the ninjutsu do its work. Rin zoomed through the trees and up the branches, kicking up small dust and the occasional unlucky insect as she tore through the jungle at incredible speeds. Circling around again, she started a bit of a slower path back to where her equipment and scrolls were situated. She also took this opportunity to figure out how to stand up on the moving wind orb. (4/5) Rin stumbled a few times as she attempted to stand up on the rapidly moving sphere of air at her feet. However, she was adapting rather quickly to the uneven surface and was able to calmly stand on top of the orb as she arrived back to the shore of her training ground. The orb circled around leisurely and eventually dissipated without throwing the user in any direction as a result. Dusting herself off, she grinned to herself before allowing it to fade. It was time to stop messing around with basic technique like these. (5/5)

Rin paused from her ninjutsu training when a deep voice spoke up from the recesses of her mind. ”They’re revealing themselves again…The other eight. I can feel their presence faintly, but I have no doubt that they’re on the move.” Gobi spoke up calmly, awaiting a reaction from his host to this news. She took in a similar manner as he had, although did feel that there was quite a bit of caution that would have to be taken if this was true. Knowing her biju so far, it was rare that there was an instance where he would be wrong. (1/20) Setting off from the drenched training area she had been in before, Rin went to search for a much larger area to work in. There was too much risk in training within an enclosed space; that much she had found out the hard way. Instead, she opted for a wide clearing, as well as a vocal warning for any summon who opted to venture near during her time of meditation and training. Upon finding the remote location, she settled down within a comfortable position and started to focus. It was about time that she met with Gobi again, it had been a tad too long since their last true encounter. (2/20) Rin did not speak, standing across from the massive demon that lay within its cage. The multiple seals that used to be used to contain it had worn away so that only one remained. The final seal that kept the Gobi from taking over her entirely rested just within her reach, although she refused to touch it yet. Instead, she simply watched the five-tailed biju. The both of them seemed to hold some form of understanding with one another, the reality of their actions bearing down heavily on them. (3/20) The self-pitying thoughts gradually left the kunoichi, who felt her resolve settle back into place. There was no reason to regret what had already passed after all. With that in mind, her focus returned to the watching biju. He merely growled softly, murmuring something that she was able to understand to a certain degree. Another test would have to be done to prove that she could still keep herself while handing over the reins to the demon within her. As it stood, she had to be tested again and Rin doubted that it would be anything pleasant either. (4/20)

As soon as that thought had passed Rin’s mind, the Gobi stood up within the expansive imprisonment and seemed to take the form of someone else. She felt her stomach somewhat painfully as a replica of Loz took its place. The main difference between Gobi and the real thing were the golden markings etched into her skin. ”I get the idea.” She sighed, removing the Head Cleaving sword off of her back as the replica did the same. So she had to face those she knew in the past? Fair enough, she was determined to prove that she would be more than ready to handle Gobi’s power. With that thought in mind, she approached the final seal and ripped it off completely. (5/20) When the seal was lifted, Rin could immediately feel the shift in power hit her like a ton of bricks. The amount of real power that Gobi had sealed up was astonishing to say the least. However, she could not afford to marvel at the intense sensation, charging the replica of her old friend without any mercy. As expected, ‘Loz’ did the same and moved with the same amount of strength and ferocity as she remembered the original having. It gave Rin a great feeling of nostalgia to fight against her long time friend and comrade, even if it was not truly her. (6/20) Sometime during their scuffle, the wooded room was flooded with water. Rin was unsure if it had been her that had summoned the amount or the human puppet she was trying to decapitate. However, it mattered very little, especially since it only served to increase the intensity of their conflict. She continued relying on her taijutsu as well as her sword fighting abilities, bending in a variety of ways to avoid the blasts of fire and water that came from Loz. It was a while since she had read the moves of the former sannin, although she had thankfully not forgotten how she fought. (7/20) The fight was a long and ferocious one. Rin found herself at a slight disadvantage in some aspects as Loz took on her Fish Sage Mode. An ambush could occur anywhere, giving her a very limited amount of time to react. Then again, she only needed a limited amount in order to evade and attack within that time frame. Forming several handseals, she shut off all of her water-based chakra as well as the Suiton techniques of her opponent. With the odds evened again, the Mizukage dove after Loz and sent strong melee blows where she could. (8/20)

The replica of Loz stopped in their tracks, smiling slightly before being engulfed in another blast of golden light. Rin was forced back, recovering her footing quickly to see what Gobi was up to now. As the blinding nature of the light faded away, she felt her heart give another painful twist. Instead of the human puppet, the current Mizukage and another long time friend appeared. He seemed just like she had remembered right before she pulled off her disappearing act and another wave of guilt came by. She had given him a new burden to protect the village as she had. Yet she never really knew if he had accepted it or not, even if she did anticipate his rising to the new position. (9/20) Rin’s inner turmoil was set to the side when she felt the water around her freeze solid, letting out a rather loud curse for not paying full attention to her surroundings. To say that this would not end well was an understatement, but there was no way that she would let herself be defeated by any replica. She kept her footing even and channeled chakra through her body. She could feel the flames surrounding her, gently licking at her skin and giving her an overabundance of warmth as they formed a protective armor. Crouching lower to the ice, she charged forwards. (10/20) Embrace and the Head Cleaving Sword clashed, although the heavy weight of Rin’s sword was enough to send Qastor’s replica flying backwards. He crashed into the water but was quick to resurface. As he did so, the water around him started to freeze into platforms of sorts. This confused her slightly, as she was sure that her water seal was still in effect. Yet as she found out soon enough, it only had a limited effect, probably based on which form the Gobi took. With that in mind, she changed her original strategy and went after the Gobi again. (11/20) The Katon technique she was using was starting to reach its climax, but Rin contained the swelling energy for just a bit longer. The timing had to be just right for the greatest effect. She balled her left hand into a fist and swung the Head Cleaving sword in what appeared to be an attempt to tear the replica of Qastor in half. Naturally, this attempt was blocked and avoided by the stronger sword fighter. However, what he did not seem to expect was the flaming left hook that was aimed at his jaw while the former Mizukage completed her quick turn. (12/20)

A massive explosion took place, shaking the entire battlefield with a torrent of sheer power and heat. Whatever sort of technique that the replica was building up was melted or shattered immediately due to the sheer power of the attack. Yet at the same time, Rin was sent flying in the opposite direction. Through the sheer experience of this motion, Rin was able to land without harming herself in the least, watching the Gobi with a careful expression as if trying to anticipate what the next move would be. This one had certainly wiped her out to a certain degree, she could feel it. (13/20) The ice faded away as the grin on the Gobi’s expression widened slightly. Now was the critical part of the test from what she could tell. Again, a warm golden light shot forward, although this time, Rin was prepared for the amount of force pushing her back and merely jumped. What she was not fully prepared for was to see a replica of Kirama looking back at her after the light faded away. The guilt that had hit her before was nothing compared to seeing her husband’s face, even if it was merely the biju in disguise. The prospect of having to fight him sent the unusual sensation of fear through her system. (14/20) Due to her hesitance, the replica of Kirama attacked first, immediately going into his stronger combination of attacks without any signs of letting up. Rin’s attention immediately snapped to this and she acted mainly on instinct. She ducked and dodged, striking back where she could in hopes of making a decent impact. Yet, even on the occasion where she did land a successful hit, it did very little to cause any significant damage. This was not entirely unexpected, particularly because her husband had always been better at taijutsu than she was. (15/20) The pair moved at a quicker pace, two different white blurs moving in near perfect synch. The struggle continued between offense and defense, the use of ninjutsu almost completely forgotten at this point in time. Then again, there was absolutely no time to form handseals while fighting at such a close range. Sometime during the battle, Rin abandoned the Head Cleaving sword, opting for the lighter scimitar that rested at her waist. The hand-to-hand fight soon became a sword battle as Samehada’s replica and the Devil’s Scimitar collided with one another. (16/20)

Rin’s rather high stamina was starting to dwindle by this point, having fought three consecutive battles by this point in time. The aftereffects of her actions were starting to catch up with her as well, wearing down her body at a quicker rate than before. There was no avoiding the use of her ninjutsu now, but it would come with some severe costs to her later no doubt. Again, she started up the Flame Fist Technique, having no need to use its full power as it prevented Kirama from getting close. However, that would change if he had the chance to use Samehada, so she denied the replica that right, forming a secondary explosions which sent both partied crashing in opposite directions. (17/20) The replica of Kirama halted and without a word, vanished from sight. In his place was a smaller version of the massive biju that resided in her body. Rin gave the Gobi a weak smile, looking up a bit at the demon. ”I suppose this means I pass…Right?” The demon merely smiled toothily and bowed his head. An odd sensation took over her as she was brought back into reality. However, unlike before, she felt like a different being altogether. In fact, she was standing on all fours and looking over the Sage Lands from above. It took a few moments to realize that she had taken the true form of the Gobi, excitement flooding her system. (18/20) The biju ran through the jungle, the monkeys living there scattering out of its way as it headed towards the large clearing. There, it tested its power again and let its lightning-based tail sweep the ground. As expected, burns of what appeared to be very similar to lightning had appeared and scorched the ground. A few areas had even been set on fire. However, one swift movement using the tail made entirely out of water doused the small flames before they had much of a chance to start. The demon only stopped when the summons began to voice that it was time that they halt their training. (19/20) The large demon dog bowed to the monkey summons and gradually began to shrink again. The smaller the beast became, the more human features returned up to the point where Rin appeared just like her normal self again. Feeling an intense amount of energy leaving her body, she collapsed onto the soft underbrush, right into one of the impressions made when she had let the Gobi run around for a bit. She sighed tiredly, feeling more strain on her body than she had for a while. Yet it was worth it, especially if it meant that she was able to at least get along with the tailed demon she was stuck with. She walked over to the stream she had been training by and glanced at her reflection, somewhat surprised. Her eyes were a solid violet colour with hues of gold tinting them. She supposed that this physical proof truly meant that she had been able to tame one of the nine tailed biju. (20/20) ((Took long enough >.<))
