Theres enough concrete to go around, why go over that particular bit.
Ah! Now there's the question I been waiting for. Simple, why not? Beef aside, cuz stabbing is a b***h move... why not go over the most legendary piece there is? Rules, laws, respect... ******** that we're breaking rules anyway why would we respect our own? Yes JA is famous, but isn't he more famous aster going over the Saber piece? A lot of people look at it from the artist side of graffiti, "It was beautiful. It was legendary why go over it with bombs?" I see this as the grimey side of graff yo. This is what bombers do, love, hate, or respect... best believe you still know their name. Isn't that what we're about anyway? Look at CAP he went over one of my favorite SEEN pieces... do I hate him? Hell no I love CAP, dude did his thing. Even IZ went over pieces, it's just part of the game. The beef only made it more justified.

I definitley see that side of it. Kaz, you know I'm more of an artsy one, that's just who I am, that's my thing, ya' know?
I actually wouldn't have minded it as much if Saber hadn't totally ******** his knee up doing the piece.
I respect JA as a bomber. Would I respect him as a person? Probably not, but as a bomber, for sure.
I understand and accept hardcore bombers going for fame. It's not my thing, but I definitley understand it.
(The only thing I will hate no matter what is going over someone who's dead. You don't hit RIP pieces. Even if you're legendary and they're nothing, or you do some crazy dope piece, that s**t is the graff equivilent to smashing gravestones, ya know?)

I like bombers, and they do their thing. I think the more I get into writing the more I start to understand and like bombers.
Like you guys all learned from here, I'm learning a lot about doing your own thing, and just accepting that.

Thats true. No honour amongst thieves and all that Jazz.

Man, there's so much politics flying around... I have to say though. If some one stabbed me or one of my mates. I probably wouldn't have any qualms about destroying their s**t, whatever it might be.

Oh i respect ja as a person, haven't you seen syn? that interview still has me laughing.
Its like cap said though,"its not the biggest or the most beautifulist(yeah i know thats not correct grammar, but thats how he said it), it more." bombing is probably what i love most about graffiti, where as when i paint frieghts, its more like a hobby.

all i know is that ja is the bad guy from the karate kid movie. And his daddy buys all his coke for him, as well as the plane ticket to fly out to la. Theres a reason he only capped the riverbed piece and then dipped back to ny. Im assuming its out of cowardice, cause he aint been back since. The only fame he got out here is for being a waste of good sperm.

.disconected.

At the time he was actually shooting a movie there. See most west coast kids hate ja, and most east cost hate saber and msk.
I mean he doesn't let msk touch new york, nor most west coast cats, he went of rambo and some other cat days after they put there pieces up in new york. He was a legend before he beefed the rivebed, he's been writing since 84, smoking crack and angledust.
i guess its prolly cause i like bombing more then piecing, i mean hell i hate tie one's style (rip), but he was a hardcore bomber to the core, and one of my favorites.
But as far as saber goes, he doesn't have a hand style, worth a dame, nor does he know what one is. Plus i've never seen a throw of his. i don't like him,he could have stopped crying and just thrown some fresh paint fly out to new york and get him back.

yeah, the homie got saber to get on his book, I was checkin out his handstyle and it look like a weak imitation of some philly styles. But still I give mad props to that piece he rolled on the river. If you saw it in person, that s**t was epic big.

After JA went over his piece, Saber droped a new layer of paint on it. Thats how it is, with fame comes haters... As for JA, he did it for the fame. But I don't respect that type of fame, that s**t needs to be earned the good old fashioned way... Geting up and dropin some fresh steez!

Actually, fewer people knew about the la river piece, ja made it more famous actually. And ja didn't go over it just for no reason, rummor is that saber went over something of sane's(RIP). Then MQ, with his maxi pad, stabbed ja and got ran out of new york. That started the beef between ja and msk, he's holding his own lol.

And i agree, although IZ the Wiz was better, never did anyless then a hundred throwies a night, and did it up till he died.
If I'm not mistaken, IZ actually cut down alot on writing. I know he did alot of Gallery work. Anywho RIP IZ. And as for the JA, MSK beef, i've heard the same as well. There's a Sane piece up on this billboard in Detroit. It's still there. heart

I can't stand the scene in LA. It's gotta be so artsy, and s**t. Comin' from the East Coast, we know how to get on down. It's all about quantity, then quality (to an extent). wink

As its been said before, beef is a two edged sword. On one hand its good because it cleans the system, and bad because it hinders growth in other areas. But you mother fudgers in L.A. have to worry about TKO and other crews like it just going over everything and everyone because they can.

And y'all don't know about quality or quantity, I come from teh land of Heist (R.I.P.) and Heat, Y'all ain't got s**t on the Midwest.

Both is vital. There's some amazing burners in my city -- But 10 years after they quit, there will be no living memory of their existance in the city. s**t comes and goes.
I prefer piecing, A lot. But getting up is one oof those things that needs to be done.
I am aiming to have enough pieces and enough tags and throws to have my style longstanding after I go off to collage. And then I move on to hitting London (Ontario, not England), or Toronto. The NYC of Canada. =D
I've been thinking about this alot. This kid EVER moved away from my city about 6 months ago; He was EVERYWHERE.
He still has thousands of tags up, and while some are defaced, atleast 30-some pieces. And that s**t will be there for a while. He even has beef and it's still there.
He's coming down for thanksgiving and taking me painting.
He asked me about it and I s**t bricks. O-O
