Toby felt bad for Ellie for a moment, after hearing her little dilemma.
However, his musings were cut short by Ellie's warning about lunch being over, and before he could say anything, Toby was once again treated by a nice .... surprise (here, the poor boy blushed, suddenly beet-red again). Cheeks still burning, he tried to gather enough of his non-teenage-boy-hormone wits to figure out her question, a little disappointed that lunch had came and gone so fast. "Man, why are lunch breaks so short? They should make classes one hour and lunch the rest of it." The rest came out in a mutter, how was he gonna learn more about how to make a bike if - wait yes, there was always after school!
Toby bobbed his head, before he realized, this wasn't really an answer to her question about his after school hangouts. "Oh, um," he scrambled for an answer, a little nervous. He didn't really want someone else, no matter how cool they were, coming over to his hideout. "Well I dont really hang out in one place, I just wander around and stuff, yaknow."
Well, that was sure helpful... not. "What I mean is-" he finally amended, "Will you be at the Auto Shop lots? I can swing by again: I'd really love to meet your bike in person too." He nearly drooled at the thought of seeing a REAL one. "And mebbe even learn a few things about auto building?"
With those hopeful words, Toby slowly unraveled himself from his desk spot, brushing himself up a bit in habit.

"Hey, Toby, ya feelin' okay?"
Not giving the boy much of a chance, she came over and pressed the back of her hand against his forehead. Obviously she had noted the deep flush color to his cheeks. Her mouth twisted about a bit, no exact expression able to be read since her lips continued to twist about. After about 30 seconds, her mouth stopped twisting, stopping at a half smirk.
"Hmmm... weird..." Shaking her head, she went back to gathering her things, tossing her lunch sack back into her backpack. While hitching her bag onto her shoulders, she muttered "Not a particular place, eh?" Her lips once more twisted about before she thought the boy's comments over.
"Well, I can't come by until night time. Less police out at that time, less likely t'get caught fer riding illegally." Standing up straight so she was at her full height of 5'10", she grinned widely. "Well, I guess we could meet by the school at night. Dunno a time, cuz it depends on when I can git outta th'house."
Shrugging enough to cause her backpack to jostle, she exclaimed, "Whatever! I'll see ya around, Toby!" Not giving the boy any other information, she jogged to the door and left the room about 10 seconds before the bell rang.

He stared at the doorway, not too sure what to make out from the whole incident. The contact of being touched by a girl was also now burning on his skin (along with the um, other incident), not to mention, did she just tell him that they should meet sometime in the evening to avoid the POLICE?!?
His mind finally gave up and decided that this whole situation was really, just too complex to figure out. Girls, even super tall dangerous ones, no matter how cool they were, really had different mindsets of their own.
With the chastity of an angel, Toby closed the door to the Auto Shop, proud that he had restrained any, well, borrowing urges. He was sure he'd see her around sometime, and he'd rather not explain to her why things had gone um, 'missing' in the meanwhile.
Toby made his way towards his next class, feeling a little less socially awkward after the small interaction. Maybe he would even bother to talk to his classmates today.
