...(..Moved in and First Dream..)...
Three days. That's how long it took Krys to get to the city and find the apartment her Benefactor had gotten. She worried a little about her sea creature thing. Three days in a container of stale salt water could not be good for its health. The first thing Krys did once they got the place, was go out and buy a large fish tank. She filled it with sand and oceanic plants, and put the creature in by the end of the day. Once it had space to rome, the still small creature played among the plants and finally burrowed in the sand for the night.
The only other object Krys took out of the truck that night was a blanket. She spread it on the floor and was asleep on it in no time.
Looking around, she immediately knew this was not Earth. Granted, she hadn't gotten around much, but that didn't matter. The water was different, the plants, and even the wind. Things just were not right. But Krys wasn't in control of her body, a feeling she did not particularly like. She was only an observer.
She was running, and at the edge of the cliff...she jumped. There wasn't so much a falling sensation that accompanied most dreams when a person jumped. Her body could feel the wind whip around her body as it disturbed the air. At the bottom, the water waited.
It did hurt when she hit the water. Her body went in smoothly, as if it belonged there. She swam around, happiness and gratitude coursing through her. She was happy to be in the water, and relieved to be there. The water rejoiced as well, ::Welcome back...Faculae...
::When Krys woke up, she rubbed her good eye and stretched. She sat up and looked at the fish tank. The creature was floating at the front, watching out expectantly. Mumbling, Krys watched it. The dream was weird, but it seemed to give her some insight. Did it come from that creature in the tank? No, that was impossible. Well, at least it gave her a name. It was about time she named the creature. ?Well, good morning Faculae, I hope you had a pleasant night.?
The creature zoomed to one side and then to the other, returning back to her original position. It was a she, Krys knew that now, and it seemed that she was excited to be named. The woman shook her head, no way was the creature that smart that it would understand. Pushing the matter to the side, Krys stood up. It was time to start unpacking.
It took Krys another three days to get everything unpacked. She had to buy some furniture in between, but when she was done, it was home-sweet-home all over again. Flopping on the couch, the woman sighed and looked over at the tank. Faculae's cilia-looking things glittered in the strange lighting.
"Well, Fac... let's see how long we stay here...?" Krys stood back up. She made a meal and then went out on the balcony. She was glad to get this apartment, it had a view over the ocean. Thinking about her dream from three days ago, Krys watched the waves and bit in to her meal. For some reason, she didn't want to leave. For the first time in her life, she felt that she really was home.
