Kaya listened to the conversation that Tethis and G'ind were having. The two seemed to be enjoying themselves. The girl slowly stretched her muscles, tyring to help the aches. She relaxed for a few moments and then became bored.
We should do something. She told Rumath.
Like what Mine? The dragon wasn't entirely sure what the look she had wore on her face meant.
I want to have a little fun that's all. She responded.
Fun huh? Rumath liked fun. Neither of them had had many chances to get into much trouble lately. There hadn't been any time for fun. And what, he asked. Did you have in mind?
Kaya give him a mischievous grin and told him her plan. The Blue dragon nodded and then emerged himself into the water. Slowly he swam toward the pair that had isolated themselves. When he was only a few feet away he brought his great head out of the water. He took what water he had in his mouth and launched it at the pair, causing Kaya to giggle not too far from them.

By this time Shamth had moved himself away from his rider, content to swim away from him to get the extra heat that the further waters sometimes provided. L'pin too was dozing slightly in and out as the warmth surrounded his body and eased his aching muscles, and for a moment or two he was actually rather glad he decided to come out for a break. Sure, the kids and their blues that messed around nearby were quite loud, but they were leaving him al-
L'pin's thoughts stopped as not one, but two dragons emerged in front of him and spewed water in various ways. The first had only produced some odd bubbles before swimming back to his Rider, but the second actually let some go in his direction. It caused him to startle, not out loud but clearly in his mind, which brought Shamth's attention.
Quickly.
The massive blue came to his rider's side, having ignored the gentle request that Varoth had said, and he emerged upwards. Shamth hissed loudly at the younger blue that stood before L'pin, and he spread his wings.
Get back!

Oh, dear. Feylith's mind-voice was lazy, more curious about the aggression than agitated.
Whatever Tethis was going to say to G'ind was forgotten as one of the bigger blues spread his wings. Oh dear? That's all you have to say?
Yes?
The young woman gave a sigh to her partner and sent a wordless request. He swam closer to the other blues, silently putting his body in a position to protect the other female's dragon should it not move away quickly enough. He would let it play out as it would, but for his size he was quick- and better to have a big dragon pick on something bigger than itself rather than smaller if displeased. Besides, if he got wounded from this, Tethis would spoil him rotten. He liked being spoiled.
Get back, please. The words were polite, but the tone was a bit bossy, sent to the smaller Rumoth.
As for the bronze flit, Wave, he danced over to behind the protective-looking blue, looking at L'pin with whirling eyes before squirting the blue in the back of the head and going between to escape, reappearing next to Tethis and chirping.

Oh dear, thought Kaya. She hadn't quite meant to cause so much trouble. Really she and Rumath just thought it would be a little bit of fun but apparently the other blue was a little quicker to anger than either of them would have thought. Slowly she started to swim towards her dragon but stopped as she saw him swimming back.
Rumath had chuckled a bit when he sprayed the other with water. It had simply just been fun and games but apparently the other dragon hadn't thought so. He was about to justify himself and get the other dragon to calm down when he noticed Feylith coming toward them. The smaller dragon quickly obeyed the other blue when he asked him to move.
Rumath slowly made his way back towards his rider then turned around to watch as the larger blue squirted the other in the back of the head. Once again Kaya and Rumath laughed with each other.
Kaya somehow managed to climb on top of Rumath to watch the scene that played out before them. (((OOC: Sorry guys it's Rumath not Rumoth >.<)))

"Uh-oh....." G'ind let his lips set into a thin line as worry got the best of him; apparently, one of the dragons wasn't into the fun mood that had settled over the springs. Now, Feylith was standing infront of the other blue as Rumath backed off towards the his Chosen. This wasn't a good thing...was it?
Chosen, if you would allow me too... Yellow-laced eyes stared at the other Blues before turning to stare into his Rider's. A wordless conversation was exchanged for not but a brief moment and G'ind slid off of the stocky Blue as Varoth went over to where Shamth and Feylith were.
Rearing up out of the water, Varoth rumbled at the two Blues. Both of you, calm down. It was true Varoth was not as large as Shamth nor as quick as Feylith, but he could hold his own against others if needed. But fighting was something he DIDN'T want to happen. He stood next to Feylith while giving Shamth a stern look. Brothers, settle down for a moment. We must let cooler heads prevail, lest your Rider think you had been infected by fire-head.

When more dragons converged on the scene, L'pin sighed and slowly pressed a hand to his forehead. While he completely understood why Shamth had reacted as he did - L'pin had been startled and therefore had startled his Blue, he didn't feel that having everyone and their shellmate over was the correct course of action. It was just like these children to overreact and let their dragons do the dealing, though if it were with Shamth . . .
I said get back! Do you not hear me?
Shamth hissed again as yet another Blue dared to come over and invade his space, though now he was becoming more irritated that they felt the need to gang up on him instead; one had a firelizard that even managed to spit water further at him and his. His upset was actually quite understanding at this point in time, but it wouldn't do for either the dragon nor the rider to get into a brawl.
"Shamth, calm down. I'm fine, they just startled me. You don't have to worry, you're alright."
L'pin had risen to his feet by now and moved to the side of his dragon, a gentle hand touching his side as he felt the rumbles of displeasure that echoed through his Bonded. He sent soothing words silently to him, aside from having spoken aloud, and for a moment it seemed like the red in the Dragon's eyes faded a bit.
Mine. . .
"I may have calmed him for now, but it would be wise for you younger riders to take your dragons away from him. They may not be the type to fight, but I assure you that their innocent actions were not taken in jest by my Shamth."
The rider held no hatred in his tone, no scolding, as it seemed he was quite used to telling others to get away from himself and his dragon. If anything he may have sounded a bit trouble, lonely, though only if someone was thinking too hard.

Feylith made sure Rumath was safely away and then watched Varoth for a moment- eventually fading into the water. "Feylith only came over in case your guy decided he wanted to pick on someone smaller." she looked amused. "As for Wave, I do offer my apologies." she nodded to the bronze. "I don't have the best control over a firelizard."
If you want to look scary, look at me. Feylith's voice came loud and clear to the dragons around the pool, carefully blocked even from his Own, thought focused on Shamth. I understand the need to protect Yours, but you overreact as does not befit a dragon of your experience. His tone was mild. Though it is not my place to chastise you. After all, Mine would not have been the one to suffer had you attacked. He gave Rumath a mild look that said he felt the other should apologize, but he did not say it; after all, he did not feel the smaller blue had done anything to deserve this reaction, and if the older dragon could not handle the jest, that was the blue's place to decide on an apology. As for the little bronze, I cannot apologize. He is Not Mine.
Tethis moved over towards Hers, fearless. Feylith would protect her, and everyone knew a dragon would not purposely harm a human. "Is he always that excitable, rider?" she hadn't gotten the name of the rider of the big blue, though Feylith sent her their names. "L'pin and Shamth, correct? The ones who are so familiar with our trenches." her smile wasn't malicious, and it was genuinely warm. She remained out of range of the older rider, so as to not aggravate the dragon too much further.

Kaya became a bit nervous as Feylith spoke to Shamth. She didn't really want to be around if a fight broke out. Although the odds of a fight actually occurring were slim to none. Even without a fight the atmosphere in the springs was no longer peaceful and relaxing, instead it was tense. No, there would be no more relaxing here.
Mine? Would you like to leave? You have been stressed too much this day. Rumath was worried about His. She had a hard enough time with the boys and men of the Weyr bothering her about riding a Blue. The girl did not need to add any more stress on top of that.
She please. She replied to the Blue. I just want to go back to my weyr and rest. Rumath was right. She had already had to deal with several boys today. This was just too much. Slowly, so as not to bother any of the other riders, the girl swam to the side of the springs. Rumath stood so as to shield her from view as she dried off and re-dressed. Then the two quietly and quickly snuck out and left the others to their dilemma. Perhaps she and Rumath should have minded their own business, but it had been momentarily fun and now it was time for them to leave.

"It's not that he's excitable, Shamth is just worried over me at the sudden appearance of other dragons. I am sure that your dragon would feel and respond in the same way should another have approached and startled you."
L'pin looked over at the girl who approached him, talking as if she knew him too well. Her subtle jab about his trench work didn't go over his head and a frown spread on his lips, only to disappear as he watched one of the blues from before take into flight and leave with his rider in tow. It seemed like Shamth was doing his work even without having to say or do anything, or else they'd come across a rather touchy lot in that pair.
"And you are? It's a bit more polite to introduce yourself before speaking the names of others. It makes me feel like I've got a reputation that's spreading ahead of me."
The Blue Rider chuckled a little bit, his mood shifting back to its normal state of neutral. He'd come to the springs to relax, soak a bit of the days work away, not to bicker or fight. As long as L'pin could keep Shamth in control, things would be alright.
Unfortunately for the rider, the dragon didn't seem to agree. He ignored what Feylith said to him entirely, his focus moving towards his rider and the woman that spoke to him. This was getting to be too much, entirely too much.
Mine, I'm growing tired of this. Let your Shamth take us both back to our weyr, where we will no longer have to deal with this. These are all children here, both in dragons and in theirs.
The bit about children was said aloud, so that all could hear it. Shamth didn't like to mince his words, not when he was past calming down.

I'm sure he wouldn't. The thought was clear in her mind, and she glanced back at Feylith, who looked at her indulgently. "I'm Tethis, I'm sorry, I should have introduced myself sooner." She gave a half-bow to Shamth, head tilting politely as he spoke to all of the people here.
Feylith's eyes almost glowed green at Shamth's words, some quiet amusement bubbling up. Seeing that Rumath and His were safety gone, and not worrying about Tethis at the moment, he ducked under the water to hide it. His was having a good talk now, with another who did not scowl and grump at her. He would try and not make Shamth agitated, and cause His to leave and take away someone she could perhaps become "friends" with.
"Yes, Shamth, Feylith and I are fairly young. I know I have a lot of growing up to do, at the least. I suppose our age makes us a bit excitable, though we do like to relax on occasion. In fact," she glanced over at both of the other riders, "I was thinking about going and getting some Benden from my weyr, if any of you like to drink a little."
Eh? Feylith's eyes peeked from the water, whirling with surprise. But you hate to share, why are you going to share? Benden is your Favorite.
It's good to share.

"I'll have to pass, we need to be getting back to the weyr."
Agreed.
L'pin didn't mean to cut things so short, but there still were more dragons than Shamth could probably handle, at least politely enough to keep his facade up, so it was in the best interest of rider and dragon to get going.
"Perhaps we'll meet again."
There were no more words to be spoken as L'pin mounted his Blue, having soaked enough, and the pair made their way out from the springs and back towards their home.
I hated that, let's not do it again Mine.
Agreed.
