There isn't much do other than ask around. I was only given the opertunity because I'm doing a computer game based course at Uni.
Best thing you can do is get some experience with testing by participating in as many Open Betas for MMORPGs as possible. For some reason, Companies look for experienced Testers and only give the jobs to those experience ones rather than the ones who need the experience. Plus, you have to be over the age of 18 seeing as the age rating on the game would still be TBC.
Also, check game developer's websites to see if there are testing jobs advertised. You could even check out the back of Edge magazine. they have tons of games companies looking for people for all kind of things.
That's about all the advice I can give at the mo. Just look round, you'll find something.
