Karri-sama Raziel Hotokashi -A message from the captain- Remember, any and all crew members are to remember that goggles are to be worn at all times outdoors. I'm tired of being called a pirate ship because half the crew has half their eyes. Thank you very much, you've heard the majority vote people: GOGGLES -The Nurse My goggles are tinted and when I wear them out-of-doors at night I run into walls and poles and strangers with knives and/or bad dispositions. Must I wear the goggles at all times when out-side?

~A rather blind crew member with a few almost-knife woundsDear Blind Crew Member, No no sweet, you only have to wear goggles when working or around dangerous equipment. And if your eyesight is so bad...come get an eyetest!

I daresay, good lady nurse, it is not that I am blind so much that I am blinded when my tinted goggles block out the little matter of light that manages to reach my eyes through the smog on a dark night. My apologies if I have been unclear as to the predicament previously.

With all this talk of goggles, I'm thinking of opening a discount goggle shop...
Xeigrich's Discounted Goggles, Protective Eyewear and Other Such Optical Articles
Tinted and Non-Tinted, Ultra-Violet Resistant, *Shatter-Proof, and **Guaranteed not to slip off your face while doing barrel rolls in a small personal aircraft!
We'll buy your used goggles for a ***reasonable price!
*Shatter-Proof not guaranteed in cases of extreme blunt or sharp forces such as flying tools or exploding machines. **Guarantee not guaranteed if user fails to properly tighten straps. ***Reasonableness not guaranteed either and is typically defined as less than 25% of the actual resell value of the item. Yay, capitalism!

A question, if I may. My goggle only covers one eye, so as to have one eye always adjusted for current lighting conditions. Is this a problem?

I've known several good steampunk scientists who were brilliant and guarded their one eye better than their life. Just be careful and do what they do-protect the eye most important to you! P.S. note that protections to both eyes are preferred. -The Nurse

Dear Nurse,
I feel you should inform everyone to -always- be aware of dangers, regardless of your surroundings.
I was in the library a few weeks ago - which one would normally classify as safe - when the ship came into some turbulence. It was most unfortunate that a rather large bookshelf fell upon me while I was reading. I thusly incurred the most disagreeable paper cut.
Remember, folks: Always wear gloves while reading.

~A rather blind crew member with a few almost-knife wounds how can you get wounded by an almost-knife?... for that matter, what is an almost-knife? An almost-knife is rather blunt. It is similar to the tonfa or the billy-club, but with a distinct handle and narrowed blade. I have a few nasty bruises from them, but no real wounds. They are most often carried by idiotic muggers who don't know to bludgen with them instead of stabbing.

-A Sore-Fingered LibrarianDear Librarian, Thank you for the up-date. Would you like me to start a new post on new post on this new safety topic? Remember PM the Nurse if you have a safety topic you want me to start a new topic. And remember that this post is for googles. -The Nurse

I agree about getting lost on the lower decks. I also believe there is something wrong with the time/space containment field as last time i got lost a door i opened appeared to lead to a prehistoric village.
On the plus side i became their cheif and learnt how to make whiskey out of rocks.
