Today was a very interesting day... That is, today was the day I received my very first feien bloom. Well, technically... feien *leaf*. It's a very pretty thing, blue with black edging, but it's hard to believe something alive and childlike will come from it. It's... awfully thin for that... But anyway, doubts and curiousity aside, I will treat it as well as can be hoped... Not only is it my first feien, after all, but my first housemate since moving to Gaia at all. I've met some people; Rynn is one of my better friends. I believe this leaf is from her two feien breeding. She talks about the quite a bit; Ianios, the plant element, and Aria, the water element. Considering the leaf's parents, I've decided to put it in a small dish filled with water. I've not noticed anything drastic happening to it as of yet, which I'm taking as a sign for the better. Tomorrow I shall go to the pet shop and buy a small terrarium, in case it's a plant type rather than a water type. Grass seeds grow quickly, so it is my hope that the water dish won't hurt it before I can move it if it *is* a plant type. Knowing my peculiar disaffinity with plants, though, I am rather worried for the poor thing's health... Here's hoping this is my first successful attempt at keeping a plant alive for more than a month! sweatdrop

The terrarium is growing well; my leaf is now resting quietly in it with its stem poking into the pond bit. If it *is* a water type, I certainly don't want it drying out... eek This whole feien thing is a lot more nervewracking than one might think. Sure, take care of the little plant until it blooms into a fairy child. Sounds easy, but I'm so nervous! I'm wretched with plant care; I've asked Rynn for some pointers though and she said her feien liked music, so I've had classical playing all morning. You know, it said in some medical journal that babies who have classical music played for them while they're in utero usually come out smarter... Maybe it's the same for feien? I haven't thought of any names for the feien inside yet; not even a "if it's a boy, ___, if it's a girl, ___" kind of thing. I suppose I'll name him or her whenever he or she emerges. That should narrow my choices at least a little... sweatdrop

Jan 29, 2005 I decided I needed more advice. Nervous as I am in a crowd, my feien's wellbeing was more important than my fear. So I went... Trip to the Shop Sevviekun Sevviekun slipped nervously into the shop, looking about curiously as he went. He hadn't been here before, but he thought that perhaps he ought to come visit and see if there were any feien about to talk to about his bloom - er, leaf. Said leaf was settled in a shallow dish of water, floating idly on top. Shiro Ookami His question wasn't one she expected, though she didn't mind answering the question." No, I didn't know there was a plant element. I am an Earth element though. Atleast as much as I could tell. Shiro said I was called an Earth feien. Aparently he also said that there weren't many earth feiens." Some motion got her eye. She looked over and there was another person sneaking around. Did they actually think they were hiding being that big? Rynn Ian glanced to the newcomer. "Hey!" he said, waving the human over. "What have you there?"Sevviekun Stiffening suddenly as the green feien called him, he forced himself to relax and slink over to the two. "It's my bloom, well, leaf," he explained, setting the dish down on the counter. "Would either of you happen to know Rynn?" Shiro Ookami Curious at how a bloom looked, Patience strolled over and leaned to look at the bloom. It was a cute little leaf. And younge feiens came from plants like this. Interesting. She so wanted to take care of one, but something told er to keep away when Nekota had gotten his second. That bloom turned out to be a menice. She was both upset and happy she never ran into him before Nekota left Hurog. But should would ahve to tlak to Shiro to get her a bloom of her own to take care of. Rynn Ianios blinked. So here was one who knew his bond! He got up quickly, hurrying over to see the leaf, his bloom, he knew it. He grinned to Patience. "Look, it's another one of my blooms! That makes 2!" He was beside himself with joy. Calming down, he hugged Patience. "Earth, huh? Close to plant! I bet you got nifty powers!"He looked back to Sevvie and bowed, once letting Patience go. "Rynn's my bond!"Sevviekun "Really?" he said, grinning happily. "I know Rynn! She talks about you and her other feien, Aria, a lot. I'm happy to meet you, especially as you're one of mine's parents." Shiro Ookami Patience was not prepared for a hug. It caught her off guard and she almost didn't hear what Ian said after that. Hugs are good. A bit odd, but hugs are good. Patience smiled, he was happy. It makes sense that Ian was happy about finding another bloom on his. " I am slowly learning how to use my magic. But so far the only thing I can do is make my skin harder. I came today to maybe look at some other spells to give them a try." Sevviekun Sevvie's attention was caught by the girl feien. "Magic spells? Could my feien learn those too?" If so, he was bound and determined to get a copy of the spell listings. Sarabi Adruenna Hitomi looked around herself, she had done what she had come here to do. She had hoped she had done it correctly. But now it was time to start getting home. It was getting late and she needed to get home before dark because chances of her getting lost were greater after dark. She saw the new man come in and as eager as she was to meet new people she did need to get home. "It was great meeting you guys." She turned to Ian and said, "If Aria comes out of her bloom tell her that I missed her today! Patience, it was nice meeting you today. We'll have to talk again later!" She fluttered out the window and off into the night. Rynn Ianios nodded, trying hard to focus attention on both feien. He waved to Hitomi as she left. "I can make plants grow, but that's it," he said with a smile. He grinned to Sevvie. "She does? Cool! I'll have to tell her you came by!" He glanced at the leaf. He was wondering if it would be a son or a daughter. At least he knew he or she would be blue eyed and black haired, like he. But so far all the blooms he had so far were blue. Did Aria's color knock out his own? Shiro Ookami Patience looked up at the new owner and nodded." Yeah, may Feiens have magic. Tosten, who was one a house mate, he used alot of air spells and things like that. I think there is a book here listing all the known 'spells' that feiens seem to be able to do." Patience looked around and then spotted the book that she had found before with Tahki. She flew over and pointed at it." That's the book, I'm pretty sure." She heard Hitomi say her goodbyes and turned to wave as she left. She darted forward so she could yell." Get home safe!" Sevviekun "That's a pretty nifty talent. I have what you might call a purple thumb - I can kill any plant at all, which doesn't bode well for my poor feien. Killed a cactus once because I didn't water it enough," Sevvie admitted, blushing a touch. "That's part of why I'm here, to make sure I don't hurt the poor thing." Sevviekun Sevvie saw where she'd pointed the book out, and made a mental note to get a copy for his feien - whenever he or she emerged. Shiro Ookami " Well, surely if the father is a plant element, I don't think that the bloom itself would be that easy to kill." Patience offered her thought. It made sense to her atleast.Rynn Ian blinked. Hurt his child? "If you don't anything, the feien inside will be fine.Otherwise, you can try experiments, but I don't think doing anything outside of extreme will harm him or her." Sevviekun Reassured by the comments, he sat crosslegged on the ground. That put him below the counter, but he preferred it to standing up for so long. "Well I knew you were a plant, and that Aria's a water, so I figured since both plants and water elements would like water, this would be the safest route to go. I have a little terrarium at home with some grass in it that it stays in as well..." Shiro Ookami Thinking about the book, she flew over to it. With a bit of a huff, she turned the book open and looked over the front page. She wanted to know something that maybe she could practice next that might be in her element. Though she was still listening to Ian and the new guy who had come with one of Ian's blooms. Rynn Ian grinned. "Then he or she should be very happy!" He had liked laying on the patch of grass Rynn had brought in and the twigs. "Wonder if it'll be like me? Might have to give up having private time. I love to explore."
He looked over to Patience. "Trying to find spells for yourself?" he asked. Sevviekun "I hope you're right," Sevvie said, smiling. "I'm certainly trying, at least." He looked around the shop avidly, seeing what other sorts of interesting books or papers might be posted in here. Shiro Ookami Patience looked up at Ian." Yeah, I'm looking for any general spells if there are any, and any earth spells. Last time me and Tahki spend a while looking, so I think I rememeber where it is. I want to take some notes on how it is described and see if I can try to see if I can do any of them. I might, I might not." Rynn Ian nodded. "Sounds interesting. I wonder of Earth feien can do plant spells? Seems like they could."
He looked to Sevvie. "Well, he or she sould be good to go. You'll make a wonderful bond." Sevviekun Sevvie nearly wagged his tail at the praise, but refrained, keeping it tightly curled about his legs. "Thanks, you don't know how much that means to me," he said, smiling gratefully. He stood then, determined to investigate the shop and unable to keep his curiousity at bay any longer. Shiro Ookami Patience finally came across the Earth element page. She had forgotten her note pad and flew over to the counter. She searched for a bit and found it. She was happy she found it, or Morgan would have been upset at her. She flew over and placed the pad down so she could take notes." I don't exactly know if I can do any of these spells, but I plan to try to do them and maybe I will be able to. But they only give a general description of what it is, and not how to do it. So I will ahve to figure this out myself. I looked for a while, a bit ago to find a magic teacher, but I was not sucessful. So i am trying it on my own." Rynn Ian nodded, listening to Patience. "Makes sense." But really his attention was on the leaf in the bowl. He reached out, petting it gently with his hand, hoping for a reaction. "I'm your father," he whispered to it. "Glad to meet you."Sevviekun The leaf shivered a little and curled around the edges, as if curious and happy. Sevvie, his attention on the variety of things made for feien in the cupboard, didn't notice the exchange at all. Shiro Ookami Patience pretended to be fullying taking notes, but she was watching him and his bloom he and Aria had made. It was so cute. He looked like he would be a good father to any of the other blooms if his owner had indeed take one for herself. Rynn The plant feien's face broke out into a wide grin as the leaf curled up some. He gently caressed the leaf, dying to know if the feien inside was a male or a female. He was guessing Sevvie was going to name them once they emerged, but Ian felt weird called his children its. "I think I'll call you Leafy for now," he whispered. "Your mother called me that, so I will give you that nickname. I don't know if you're going to be male or female, and I don't want to call you an it. So Leafy will do." Sevviekun The leaf paused for a moment, as if considering the nickname, then shivered happily again, drifting peacefully in its dish. Shiro Ookami Patience finished her notes and made she the book was placed back closed and how she found it. Then she flew over to where Ian was. She sat crosslegged by the edge of the bowl and looked in. She had never really seen to many blooms, so she was interested." How do young feiens fit in some of these blooms... I always wondered that." Sevviekun Sevvie, hearing the question, stopped to ponder that as well. "Especially the leaves," he said, laughing a little. "A bit flat for a feien to fit inside." Rynn Ianios shrugged. "I have no idea myself. I was a flat leaf like Leafy here. How I fitted inside I don't have a clue. If feien came from fruit I could understand, but not flowers and leaves."He had no idea there were feien who's blooms were fruit! Shiro Ookami Patience nodded. She doesn't remember coming out of her bloom, and Shiro wasn't there to know what happened when she was born, if that is the word to call it. Summoned she guessed." Yeah, I wonder." karma_k A white winged form settled on the sill and hesitated, noting the others, before venturing inside. Talon saw no one that he recognized right off the bat which went both ways -- on one hand, it meant these people were strangers, and on the other hand, it meant that at least there was no one here that he knew would annoy him right off the bat.
He was in need of a new rapier or weapon of some sort, the green one he'd had since he was younger had finally broken off at the tip and was now useless...not that he ever used it for much more than an insect skewer in the first place, but he'd grown accustomed to having it. And what if he DID need it one day, after all?
Doing his best to be unobtrusive, noticing the present feien and human were currently engaged in discussion, he glided to the display case and landed before it, examining the contents as one green-tipped ear twitched now and again. Rynn Ian nodded. He was curious as she. How did feien come from plants like Leafy here? What caused them to come out in the first place? "I know I won't be around to see this one emerge. But should I keep an eye on Aria's and tell you what happens?" Shiro Ookami Patience gave that a thought. Well, if Aria was in bloom, maybe she can be the test for how things work." Sounds good. Get back to us if you notice her coming out. Though it might happen to quickly for you to notice." Unlike the earlier big humans that had come in, the feien that had arrived did not draw Patience's attention. Valora Voldemort ((I guess I should. My feiens need more interaction.)) A darkness feien entered the shop curiously, after she had not returned in quite some time. Last had been in hopes of seeing Arith, but that did not occur and she doubted it would this time. However, this could be good since she was on a mission. Rislin had disappeared sometime mid-day yesterday and did not return. In worry the young juvenile might be in trouble, Semella had convinced Shux that they should go in search of her, because after all, she was still so small.
'How do we know that she's here? Honestly, she's getting on my last nerve.' Shux ranted more to herself. The time feien's behaviour counteracted her own feelings so often that she began to wonder if she should even keep contact with the young feien.
Semella frowned after following her companion into the shop. She was more sympathetic to Rislin's behaviour, even though she herself could not remember being a juvenile at all. With a clawed finger twisting a bit of violet hair she spoke: 'Hisa, you need to work out these issues you have with Rizzy. A rift in the household will only being more disasters later.' ((graciously compiled by Shiro Ookami))About then I fled the shop; too many unfamiliar faces and just too many people. It didn't matter that they were all about the size of my hand or smaller; they were sentient beings and they scared me in their number, despite the fact that they were probably all friendly like Patience and Ianios. To my absolute self-disgust, I left my poor leaf in the shop, floating about in its little dish. I considered going to fetch it, but I was too scared of the crowd of fairies. What kind of parent am I, to leave a defenseless leaf all alone?? ...Okay well not all alone. Ianios was there with it, and he's the leaf's biological parent. He and Rynn stopped by to return it to me a little while ago, thankfully no worse for the wear it seems. I guess it may enjoy being more sociable than I; I devoutly hope so. My life is books and scrolls and studies, but I want more than that for my feien. I hope he or she is not as much of a shy-puff as I am...

Jan 30, 2005 Went back to the store today. Nobody was in there, but I remembered to bring my notepad with me to copy parts of that feien magic book Patience showed me. I copied plant, water, and earth - though I doubt the feien will be of the last, plant is closely related so I figured it would be a good idea to have anyway. I also copied the nonelemental and stat based spells, since those apply to any and all elements. Magic Notes Non-Elemental SpellsThese are general spells that any fairy can cast regardless of their element. These spells are based on magical ability. Quote: 0: Flight - Perform aerial acrobatics regardless of wing size! This spell allows fairies to propel themselves through the air at will. Can only be cast on self. 1: Magic Detection - Sense nearby magical objects or creatures. 2: Minor Healing - Cause cuts and bruises to heal faster. 2: Cure - Cures poisons and infections. 3: Levitation - Gently levitate self or others with this handy little spell. Uses MAG instead of STR for lifting, length of lifting dependent on STA. Moves objects slowly and surely. Not combat-useful, as can be easily escaped. 4: Enhanced Bond - Fairy is especially attuned to their owner's thoughts and feelings. 5: Magic Hand - Lift small objects or strike foe from afar with this invisible hand. Magic hands have a strength of 5 and dexterity equal to their caster's. 5: Heal - Heal cuts and bruises on the spot, and improve the condition of more serious wounds, speeding up the healing process. 6: Mark Object - Place a magical rune on an object marking its ownership. The fairy who placed the marker will always be able to find the object. 7: Free Bonding - Fairy can bond with up to three other fairies, pets, or individuals. Note that these bonds are permanent, and are not Enhanced. 7: Shield - An invisible barrier orb, up to twelve inches in diameter, surrounds the target. Can be cast on self or others. 8: Growth - Fairy increases 50% in size for a brief amount of time, about two minutes. (Increases with practice.) 9: Teleport - A short-distance teleportation spell. Move self or object up to ten feet instantaneously. With practice, destination can be controlled. 10: Mimic Spell - (Requires Magic Detection) By watching another feien perform a spell, the spell can be duplicated within 30 seconds of the original casting. The feien trying to mimic must have Magic Detection and have been actively paying attention to the spell. The mimic spell's effects will be up to half as strong as the original spell. Earth SpellsQuote: 0: Stoneskin - Skin turns hard, temporarily increasing STA by 5, but decreasing SPD by 2 and DEX by 1. 1: Mud Poultice - Cast this spell on a bit of damp earth. The damp earth can then be applied to wounds, removing poisons and infections and speeding up healing. 2: Stoneshaping - Mold hard earth and small stones into new shapes. Results depend on DEX. Only works on small amounts of earth and stone, enough to fit in a fairy's cupped hands. 3: Sinkhole - Slip safely into any sort of earth and back out again. A bit like swimming through dirt. Easily deposit items under the ground or hide. 4: Dirt Clod - Summons up a handful of nice, black dirt. 5: 6: 7: Natural Barrier - Mud rises up from the ground, encasing the fairy or target in a cocoon. The barrier dries instantly, forming a hard, protective wall around the target. Can encase something up to a square foot in volume. 8: 9: Entomb - 10: Water Spells (Light, Cold) Quote: 0: Underwater Breathing - Breathe underwater for a short time. 1: Waterways - Swim easily through the water! The equivalent of the flight spell for water. 2: Purify Water - Remove impurities in water, making it safe for drinking or fish. 3: Water Spray - A small splash of water shoots from the hands. 4: Water Cutting - Cut through water easily, even in the strongest of currents. 5: Aquatic Tongue - Speak with the fishes while casting this spell. 6: Water Morph - When submerged in water, wings meld into body and hands and feet turn more finlike for easier swimming. Gills also appear on the neck. 7: 8: 9: 10: Plant Spells (Life, Earth) Quote: 0: Green Thumb - Plants tended by the feien grow and flourish. 1: 2: 3: Barkskin - Skin turns hard like wood, giving a temporary +3 to STA, but decreasing SPD by 2 and DEX by 1. 4: 5: 6: 7: 8: 9: 10: Stat-Based SpellsQuote: Strength 1-2: Weakling - Capable of lifting small pieces of paper or strands of hair at best, this feien can sap the strength of another nearby with a bit of thought. 8: Giant Strength - Gives a +2 to strength for a few seconds, enabling a fairy to perform feats of great strength. 10: Berserk - Adds a temporary +3 to strength, -1 to wisdom and intelligence. A fairy under the influence of this spell is especially dangerous in hand-to-hand combat, uncovering hidden reserves of power and doing more damage. Can only be cast on self. Dexterity 1-2: Clumsy - This feien drops everything and trips a lot. With a bit of thought, they can cause another to temporarily be a klutz, too. 8: Mend - Joins two objects of similar material together. Simply hold them together and cast. Useful for fixing things. Can also be used for healing. 10: Form - Join two objects of any nonliving material together. Useful for creating new objects. Stamina 1-2: Shortness of Breath - This feien can scarcely do anything without having to gasp for air, and with a bit of thought, can force others to experience the same. 8: Resist - High fortitude enables you to better withstand spells, attacks, bad weather, and any other force that might physically affect a body. 10: Regeneration - Wounds heal and energy recovers more quickly. Wisdom 1-2: Foolhardy - This is the feien that sticks his tongue on a pole in winter. He can cause others to engage in similar acts of foolishness. 8: Enhanced Senses - You are especially perceptive and are more likely to notice things. In addition, you get a bonus spell point! 10: Advanced Knowledge - Your wisdom enables you to cast spells as if you had one more point of magic, and you get a bonus spell point! Intelligence 1-2: Idiocy - This feien has trouble understanding things, even after it's been explained three or four times. They can cause others to experience similar symptoms with a little bit of thought. 8: Greater Casting - Your spells have greater effect. 10: Panelemental - For two spells points or one point for a 0-level spell, a fairy can learn a spell from an element connected to their own, up to magic level 5. Charisma 1-2: Repulsive - This feien sends others running away with her lousy personality. She can also temporarily decrease the charisma of another with a bit of thought. 8: Dazzling Smile - People find it hard to resist your dazzling smile. Turn it on and watch their hearts melt. Less effective against people with high wisdom. 10: Charm - Entrance the mind of a person, animal, or fairy for a short time. Less effective against people with high wisdom or intelligence. If you try to make them do something they dislike a lot, the entrancement can break. Speed 1-2: Slothy - This feien moves almost excruciatingly slow, and can cause the speed of others to decrease with a bit of thought. 8: Head Start - Launch suddenly forward with a burst of extra momentum and speed. 10: Flash Motion - Move so quickly it almost seems like a teleport. Heavily drains STA. Can only be cast on self. Magic 1-2: Disrupt Magic - This fairy is so bad at magic, she can mess up other spells cast against her or in the same area. She can also lessen the boosts given by abilities. Luck 1-2: Bad Luck - Bad things seem to happen to this feien a lot. By concentrating, this feien can direct bad luck at an enemy. Anything that can go wrong for the target usually does. 8: Good Luck - Good things are more likely to happen to this feien. The dice always seem to go his way and anything that can go right usually does. 10: Bad Luck - By concentrating, this feien can direct bad luck at an enemy. Anything that can go wrong for the target usually does. Other: Adrenaline Rush - STR:8 SPD:8 - Charge towards the enemy very quickly, inflicting extra damage if successful. Quick Maneuvering - INT:8 SPD: 8 - Execute a very fast maneuver in midair or on the ground. Good for preventing collisions. Good Luck Charm - DEX:10 LCK:8 - Craft a small charm that increases the wearer's luck. Can also be used to imbue good luck into an exsting item. Bad Luck Charm - DEX:10 LCK:10 - Craft a charm that curses the wearer, decreasing their luck. Can also be used to imbue good luck into an exsting item. Sustained Speed - STA: 8 SPD: 8 - This feien can run quickly, and for a long time. Extended Spellcasting - MAG:8 STA: 10 - Spells cast by this feien will last an extra-long time, up to twice as long as their intended duration. (Does not work on abilities.) Sustained Strength - STR: 8 STA: 10 - This feien is strong and can maintain that strength for extended periods of time. I shall devote quite a bit of time to studying these spells and the effects they have. Chopin is today's music, replacing yesterday's Bach. I thought it might be nice for the feien inside the leaf to hear all the great maestros, not just the most famous.

Jan 31, 2005 Today, Rynn and her feien came to visit. It was an interesting time, to say the least... The Visit ((compiled from here))Rynn knocked on Sevvie's door, Ian on her shoulder, Aria's bloom floating in the bowl she held. She was wondering when Aria would come out. And Ian was wanting to visit the leaf again. She waited on Sevvie to answer the door, chilly. Roused from poring over his notes on feien magic by a knock at the door, Sevvie hurriedly checked his bloom, then headed out into the hallway to open the door. "Rynn!" he exclaimed cheerfully. "Come in, come in, it's cold out there. Want any cocoa or anything?" He grinned as he saw her entourage. "Brought Ian and Aria too, I see." "Hey Sevvie!" she said, stepping inside. She took off her jacket after setting the bowl down, Ianios hovering nearby, checking for ice in the bowl. "Cocoa? Sure, I'll take some." "Me too," Ian said, satisfied Aria and her water hadn't suffered any ill effects out in the cold. Rynn nodded. "Yeah, Ian said Aria might want to visit the leaf too." "Very well, three cups of cocoa and some nice warm water for Aria," he said, bustling about the small kitchen. There were only two chairs at the table, but as there were only two human-sized people that worked out just fine. A short while later he set a long, shallow bowl of warm water on the table. He placed his own leaf in the water, motioning that Aria was welcome too. He gave a mug of cocoa to Rynn and poured some from another one into a relatively deep saucer. "I don't have any feien sized cups or anything yet," he admitted, taking a seat with the half-empty mug. "I'd planned to go shopping for things tomorrow." Rynn put Aria's bloom into the bowl, where her petals curled up a bit, then relaxed. She floated near the leaf. Rynn smiled and sipped the cocoa. "This is good." Ian nodded, leaning over into the saucer to drink. He nodded. "Yeah, this is good. And I don't mind." He grinned, seeing Aria and the leaf close by each other. "Awww..."Rynn giggled. "They're so cute." She glanced at Sevvie. "So enjoying having a companion so far? Even if he or she is a leaf?" Sevvie grinned at the two feien blooms 'socializing' and nodded. "It's interesting, to say the least... I talk to it sometimes and it wiggles back, and we listen to classical together, but other than that there's not been much changed yet. I'm just glad it's still healthy, you know how I am with plants... I'm much better with books, really.. Not so much endangering their lives..." He winced slightly, hoping the bloom's father, being a plant feien, wouldn't take too much offense at the fact he accidentally killed nearly every plant he came across. Ian glanced at him. "Well, keep doing what you're doing, and the bloom will be fine." At least he hoped. He didn't want his child turned into a gemstone so soon after the blooming. Rynn smiled at Ian. "Don't worry, Sevvie can handle the leaf. He's capable. Besides, he can leave it alone and it'll be fine." Ian nodded, sipping more warm cocoa. He went over to the bowl, patting the leaf then Aria. "We should be fine."Aria curled her petals around Ian's hand, as if trying to reassure him. Rynn thought Aria knew Ian's worries. But Sevvie would be fine with the bloom. "So what's it like, being a plant feien? Or for that matter, a plant feien's bond?" he asked, looking back and forth from Rynn and Ianios curiously. The scientifically analytical side of his brain had kicked in, and he had two good resources sitting right there. Rynn hid her smirk behind her mug as she took a sip. "Well," she said, when she lowered the cup. "You know you're in charge of someone, to make sure they grow up, learn to live almost on their own. Sure, they will want to be on their own, but they're a part of you, you're a part of them. You're always a parent to them, in a way." She glanced to Ian, who was listening closely. "Yeah, you're the bond that holds that feien to life. Why we need people now, I'm not sure." "I think it's because the feien's hold on life has faded quite a bit. They need us. And I can't imagine life without mine." Ian grinned up at Rynn, who smiled back. "As for being a plant feien, well, it's like being you. I just know magic you might not."Sevvie nodded thoughtfully, pondering this as he sipped his cocoa. "So it's kind of like being a parent to an actual baby then... Only not as much drool or diapers," he added, grinning. "And they seem to grow up a lot faster... I think I'm going to like it though." He stuck his tongue out at Ian then. "You aren't very much help with your magic answer though." He smiled to show he didn't really mean it. Ian stuck out his tongue. "Ha, the feien will find out on his own. Assuming Leafy is a he." He rubbed over the leaf. "Sorry if you're a girl."Rynn smirked. "Ignore him, Ian. He's silly." "Yeah, but you like me anyway, right?" he asked, smiling at them. "Really though I'm glad you guys think I'm doing a good job, you don't know how much it means to me," he said, sliding one finger around the rim of his cup. "I guess after all that while I finally got a little lonely... I'm glad you two - three, sorry Aria - were there to help me out." He gave them a grateful little half-smile. "I suppose I should really find the feien some other friend too though... I'm sure I'll get fairly boring by myself after a while. Any ideas?" "Pixapets!" Ian cried. "They got mice, dogs, cats..."Rynn smiled. "Wait until he or she emerges, then take them to the Pixa shop. I think it's free, seeing as how couple of donated for new feien." "And these Pixapets are small enough for a Feien?" he said, looking at them with interest. "How big would you say they are?" Rynn nodded. "Of course. About as small as the first tip of my pinkie. Maybe slightly larger. They're the perfect size for a feien." "We also got dragons. I wanted to bring Celaien, he's my red dragon I named after my deceased love, but Rynn said it was too cold for him.""Ahh. That'd be the right size then, for sure," he said, smiling peacefully. "Celaien? Who was that? What happened?" he asked, blinking at Ianios. Ian seemed so young... yet he'd already fallen in love and his love had died? Just how old did feien live to be?? He resolved to look in the shop for more answers later that evening, or perhaps tomorrow. Rynn decided to let Ian answer. He looked to the blooms, before answering. "He was older than I, but never grew up. His bond vanished for a month and when she returned, the energy she gave him to keep him alive, well, he died cause she wasn't there. Now she's a recluse, only talking to Rynn. She rarely leaves home. She won't talk to other feien bonders." He sighed softly. "He was so sweet...and taller than I was I was little. He could hold me and I felt so warm..."
Ian flew off, saddened.Rynn blinked. It was still a touchy subject. "Sevvie, I lost the gemstone, but recently I got it back. I think I should give it to him, don't you?" "Gemstone? That's what they turn into when they die, isn't it..." he said, remembering one of the notices in the shop. He shivered, fervently hoping his never did. "I don't know.. what can he do with Celaien's gemstone? It seems a bit strange to give him his love's corpse as a present, even if it is a gem... I didn't mean to upset him..." He looked in the direction Ian had flown, feeling rather guilty. Rynn sipped the cocoa, swallowing the last bit. "Well, feiens can merge with feien gemstones, gain their powers, even a bit of their looks. Or, they can be resurrected. I would hope to get him resurrected, but if I can't, then Ian will want to merge with him. I've always known this. Cel was all he talked about." "Ahh," he said, draining the last of his as well. "I think perhaps you should give it to him, and let him choose which path he'd take. I'm sure he'll be happier, at least, knowing for sure that the gemstone is in his hands rather than some stranger's." Rynn nodded. "I think so too." She looked to where Ian flew off too. "Ian! Please....come back!" Ian returned, his eyes red. He settled down on the table, looking at her. "What?"She reached into her pocket, pulling something out. She unfolded her hand at his level, revealing a familar gemstone. She watched Ian for his reaction. Ian's eyes went wide. "Cel!" he cried, tackling the gemstone. He hugged it tightly, nearly crying."I was waiting for the right time to give it to you, Ian." Ian only nodded, feeling the warmth from the stone. "Oh Cel..."He blinked for a moment - she'd been keeping it in her pocket?? That was quickly forgotten, though, as the feien's reaction overwhelmed him. His throat tightened and his eyes teared up from the emotions of the little fairy. Hastily drying them on his shirt sleeve and clearing his throat, he looked down. So that was love... He cleared his throat again. "I'm happy for you Ian, that you have him back in some way at least," he said, his voice still a bit odd-sounding. Ian looked up at Sevvie, nodding. "Thanks. I rather have him back, not his gemstone though." He sighed, holding the gem close as he got up. "Sorry I hid it from you, Ianios. But I wanted to surprise you..." Rynn started, getting a nod from Ian. "I'm sorry, love." "At least it's a start. I have him back, in some form. Maybe now I can bring him back.""Indeed. And having some form of him is better than nothing..." Sevvie said, trailing off quietly. He shook his head as if dispelling some unhappy thought. "Still, it's getting a bit late, and I imagine you'll want to get home before it gets too cold out. Perhaps you'd like a cup of cocoa for the trip home?" He stood, aware that he sounded perhaps a bit more formal than he'd intended. "Thanks for coming by, again, I was truly glad of your company and I'm sure the little one did as well." Rynn shook her head. "No thanks, that's ok." She stood up, letting Ian fly into her pocket, holding the gemstone. She patted Sevvie's hand. "It's alright." Changing Aria back into her bowl, the bloom seemed to droop a little. She wasn't ready to go, it seemed. "Thank you for a lovely time. Feel free to swing by sometime, alright?" she said, heading for the door, the bowl in her hands. "I will," he promised, giving her a friendly (and careful, as she had Ian and Aria about her person) hug goodbye. "Be safe, okay?" he said, walking with her to the door. "We will. Goodnight, Sevvie." She smiled, hugging back and heading out. "Come visit soon!" she called back. "We will," he called back, waving until she was out of sight. The wintery chill then drove him inside finally, and he shut the thick door and returned to his bloom.

Sevviekun sighed as he shut the journal, looking over at his leaf. It was back in its terrarium and sitting quietly, seemingly listening to the works of Vivaldi playing in the background. He placed the journal inside the desk, propping his head up on one hand as he contemplated the leaf.
"You know, sometimes I wish things were different. That I could change the past..." he started, eyes still on the leaf. He sighed. "I'd give anything to fix it... well, almost. I wouldn't give you up," he said, smiling wryly at the leaf. It curled an edge in response. Possibly happy at the fact it was one of the few things he wouldn't give. "No, I'd not give you up. Short a time as you've been here, you've already made life interesting." He folded his arms, lying his chin on them so that he was at eye level with the leaf. "But all these books and all my research, I'd gladly give them up for the chance to go back and save her. If I could have, I'd have died for her... But I wasn't there. She died, and I wasn't even there to say goodbye..." He half turned away, and the leaf rustled slightly against the grass in sympathy. He wiped at his eyes, smiling wanly at the leaf again.
"You know, if you're a boy, I might just have a name for you. It was what she..." - he choked up slightly, then cleared his throat - "what she wanted to name our child, if we ever had one, if it was a boy. That's all we ever decided upon though, was a boy's name. So if you're a girl, you'll have to help me pick one, okay?" It curled acknowledgement. He laughed, a strange sound somewhere between a chuckle and a sob. "Don't suppose you could tell me?" he asked. It paused, then rustled apologetically. "Don't worry about it. I'll love you either way, it doesn't matter if you're a boy or girl. I'll take good care of you, I promise, and I'll try to be the best bond ever. At least, as good a bond as I can be. And when you come out, we'll go to that Pixapets store and you can pick out any animal you want, any animal at all." The leaf curled happily, and Sevviekun smiled gently. "You'll be alright. I promise." He reached into the terrarium and gave it a gentle stroke. "Good night, my child." It curled around his fingers once, and lay obediently still. Sevviekun smiled again, wiping the last traces of tears from his cheeks, and lay his head down on his folded arms.
The CD reached its end, whirring gently as it cycled back around to start again from the beginning...

Feb 10, 2005
Aaah. The weekend is almost here again. The leaf and I decided to take a semi-vacation this week; not a true vacation as neither of us actually have anywhere we specifically work, and we always returned home in the evening, but nevertheless it was a week spent loafing about and getting to know each other a little better.
We went out fishing several times; though winter has not left us yet, twilight is not so cold as to be unbearable, and the chilly silence over the area is rather a welcome respite and an interesting change from the nice warm house. We caught some fish - well actually, I did the catching. The leaf just wiggled in approval, laugh-wiggling sometimes when I got a particularly small one. Most of them we let return to the stream, though we did save one for dinner once. The leaf seemed very interested in the process of cooking, so on a whim I transplanted some of the herbs from my window-box into its terrarium. It seemed rather pleased at that - maybe the feien inside will want to be a chef!
We also took several day-trips to the theatre; we watched several plays and musicals. My personal favorites amongst them were "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Les Miserables," and though the leaf did not respond quite as well to the story it did enjoy the music quite a bit. I bought both soundtracks. It did enjoy "The Diviners," though, and quivered most happily at "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" - a rather amusing comedy, but not particularly my favorite type of play. "Grease" I think we both were glad to leave; it wasn't that the story was no good but the actors themselves were terrible. Ah well, such is life. I don't remember all the names of the plays we watched, but we've hoarded away the programs. I don't know why; I just like collecting useless free things. I have a stack of cardboard coasters nicked from various restaurants about a foot and a half high. I've never counted them; I just keep them for unknown reasons. Maybe my feien will find a use for them.
Anyway. The leaf seems to be doing rather well, and I am glad of it. I make sure it gets a good deal of sunshine, though usually if it is to be left sitting in the window for a while I keep it in its water dish, to make sure it doesn't get too hot or dry. I have started playing for it - a fact that surprises me more than any, as I had not touched the piano in almost a year. My fingers remember where to go, though, if sometimes stumblingly, but as the leaf seems to prefer live music to the CDs I have taken it up again. The CDs run when I do not play, though, since I cannot play all the time. I believe the one running at the moment is Mussorgsky, but I am not altogether certain. I'll check it later, when it is time to swtich the discs.
Perhaps tomorrow I will venture out to town and see if there is anything in the shops that captures the fancy of my little leaf...

Feb 15, 2005 A Quick Visit to the Store Sevviekun Sevviekun wandered into the shop, his leaf tucked safely away in its terrarium. He'd already put in a shop order some time ago, but there was always the possibility something new might catch his eye. Shiro Ookami Patience had come a bit earlier, her position was at the book. She had forgotten where she had put her note pages and she was trying to remember those spells she was interested in trying. With the door opening, she turned to look. It was one of Ian's bloom owners. Though she had a hard time remembering his name. But she said hello polightly to him anyway. She'll get his name later. " Greetings." Sevviekun Sevvie looked about for a moment before placing the feien at the book. "Oh! Hello, Patience. I didn't see you there," he said, smiling as he padded over. "What're you reading?" Shiro Ookami She looked up at the owner before turning back to the book open to the Earth spells." I have misplaced my notes from last time I was here, so I was reading up. Though it has been hard to concentrate enough for magic at the house since there is a baby in the home. I love the new baby, but it's hard to fight for his attention when there are so many others trying for it to. Also, his grip can destroy my wings and hurt me without him realizing it, so me and Morgan have been waiting till we can teach him to be gentler."Patience's wings drooped at the memory. She enjoyed looking out for babys and kids, but she also didn't want to be hurt, so it was a toss up of her feelings. She turned back to face Sevvie." How is your bloom? Was Ian and his owner able to return it to you?" Patience asked a bit concerned. Sevviekun "Yes, uh.. Thanks for your concern," he said, smiling sheepishly as the set the terrarium down so she could see the leaf within. "And don't worry about the baby not knowing not to grip your wings; he'll learn in time and then you can take care of him safely." Shiro Ookami Patience nodded, and wandered over to peek into the teratium. Yep, still a leaf. Her curiosity still peaked on how a feien could emerge from a bloom looking like that. She looked back up to Sevvie and smiled." Yeah. I know. But I wish sometimes I wasn't so small. It would be nice to hold a child for once." Her tone had hints of being unappy though she was smiling still. Sevviekun Sevvie blinked, something just on the edge of his recall. "You know, I remember hearing about pets that were Feien-sized.... I think they were called Pixapets? If you wanted you could have a cat, and I'm sure if they have teeny cats and dogs there's got to be teeny babies somewhere..." Shiro Ookami Patience thought it over before returning her attention to Sevvie." I know of the pixapets... But I don't think they come in 'baby'. That would be very hard to take care of unless you were my size. No... I think I'll just have to wait. Maybe eventually I can convince Shiro to get another Bloom, so that I cna take care of it. But sadly I don't know much about the goings on since I haven't been here much til recently, and I haven't seen Corvus or the shop owner in a long time. I haven't even met either one of them. I just know of them from other feiens and Tosten..." Patience Sighed. She missed Tosten. Sevviekun "This Tosten is a friend of yours?" he asked gently, unsure if Tosten was being referred to past tense or not. Maybe like some of Ian and Aria's friends, he had vanished or died. Or maybe he was just on a trip. Corvus's name he knew, at least, from Rynn. Shiro Ookami Patience sighed and sat down on the open book." Tosten was my house mate. We both lived in Hurog. Though bonded to other people. Although older then me, I sought out to try to take care of that Feien. He got himself into strange messes at times. And always dirty. He loved painting and his hair was always a mess. He ran away from my combing and didn't like it when I fussed over him. But him and his owner left Hurog. I don't know why. I hope he comes back soon though. It's to quiet since he left." Sevviekun "Ahh," Sevvie said, nodding. "Well, I'm sure you'll find someone to use all that motherly instinct on," he said, smiling at her. "And if that fails, you can always play The Sims.." Shiro Ookami Patience snapped out of her thoughts at his suggestion. She was unfamiliar with the word." Sims? What is 'The Sims'?" Her curiosity winning over her gloom from talking about Tosten. Sevviekun "It's a computer video game, where you build the houses of little virtual people and control their lives. If you do well, they're happy, have good jobs, a good house, and sometimes they have babies, if you have a couple that's in love," he explained. Shiro Ookami " Hm. I'll have to talk to Shiro about that. Maybe he knows about it." After a short pause, Patience realized it was getting late." Shoot! Forgive me, but I must get going. Nice seeing you again." With a wave to Sevvie, she dashed to the open window and was gone.Sevviekun Sevvie waved goodbye to Patience as she winged her way out of the shop, then took a quick glance around. Seeing nothing new or particularly interesting at the moment, he decided to take his leave as well.

I was wandering somewhat aimlessly through downtown Gaia when I saw these little jewelry orbs sitting in a shop window. I thought perhaps the feien, should it be a girl, would like to have something pretty for it when it arrived. When I entered the shop, I realized that these were not just pretty gems; they were going to hatch into living beings. Seeing as I'm waiting on a fairy to come from a leaf, this didn't stretch the imagination too far. Despite the fact that it won't be a gem forever, I've decided to get one - I'm sure the feien will appreciate not being the only other person in the house besides me. *Fascinating* company though I'm sure I am, I doubt he or she will want to have only me for companionship. Thus, I have acquired my second pet. Little feien, what other changes will you have me make?

Goodness me! It seems Surlaterres grow much more quickly than Feien; my Itztli has already emerged from his gem! I found him this morning as he was systematically gnawing on every piece of furniture he came across - one chair already bore witness to his sharp little pup teeth. When I scolded him, he just grinned up at me and flicked his tail about.
{Well I didn't want to wake you up or nothin', but I got kinda hungry... Not too mad at me are ya?} a voice echoed in my head. I blinked.
"You can talk?" I asked, and he seemed to huff indignantly.
{Of course I can talk! I'm not stupid!} he pouted, sitting and curling his tail around himself.
"Of course you're not. Now... let's get you something to eat," I said, and his stomach rumblingly agreed.
{And then can we go shopping?} he asked wistfully, following me to the kitchen.
"Yes, then we can go shopping," I said, laughing.

Feb 21, 2005
Well, today was a rather fun occasion. One of my dear friends from before my move to this place had a birthday today, so we went to visit. We being myself, Itztli, and the leaf in a small plastic terrarium. Not as well-put-together as its normal terrarium, as it's a juvenile's one for catching bugs and the like, but it's travel-sized and has a handle and a roof. My friend and I went bowling, the leaf watched and wiggled, sometimes a bit unhappily at a particularly loud crash. Fortunately that wasn't too often, as the alley we went to has few participants on late Monday afternoons. Itztli was mostly interested in wandering up to the girls present and begging affection from them, turning every so often to grin at me smugly. He's going to be a skirt-chasing handful, I'm sure, but he IS good company. After that we went out to eat someplace nice and quiet, and even Itztli managed to behave himself and stay in our general vicinity.
Today also marked the arrival of a package containing the items I'd purchased from the Feien shop. I'm glad they arrived before the feien did; other than what I just got I don't have any cups or utensils that small. Speaking of shopping, after Itztli and I got home yesterday I couldn't believe that I had actually agreed to purchase him such frivolous shinies. He had wanted them, though, and they didn't cost overly much, so I decided to indulge him and get them. Besides, he doesn't look half bad with them on, though I daren't say that to his face. His ego, already the size of Mars, may grow to Jupiter-esque proportions and just float away with him. Maybe I shouldn't've gotten him the stuff... Oh well. I *did* put my foot down when he said he wanted golden food bowls. Plastic is just fine. So maybe that will help damp his ego some - though something tells me not to put too much stock in that... Ah well. Tomorrow will tell what tomorrow will bring.

Feb 25, 2005 The Leaf and the Broom (( compiled from here. ))Rynn carefully carried the bloom in her hands, Aria sitting on her shoulder, Ianios flying behind her at a slow pace. In his arms was Celaien's gemstone, clutched tightly to his chest. They were going to go visit Sevviekun so Aria could get a good view of the leaf. "Ian, do you have to carry the gemstone?" Rynn asked, nearing Sevvie's house. "Aye. I think Sevvie might want to meet Cel."Rynn shook her head and knocked on the door. Aria grinned. So close to meeting another of her babies! Sevviekun gave a start - he'd been about to tell Itztli off for something or other, but he couldn't think of it now. "Coming," he called, and padded to the door. "Rynn! Nice to see you!" he said upon opening it, pleasantly surprised. "Do come in! Oh, and don't mind the ruffian, he's with me. Itztli, no hitting on Rynn. Or Aria." "Aww, spoiling all my fun before it even starts," Itztli grumbled goodnaturedly. Rynn walked in, Aria flying off her shoulder, looking around for the leaf. Rynn shook her head, giving a grin to Sevvie as Ian flew in past her. "How are you?"Aria grinned at the fox like creature, flying down to pet him. "You're cute!"Rynn put the bloom on the countertop. "I brought Ian and Aria to meet the leaf, and so the leaf could meet the other bloom. Don't mind, do you?" Sevvie smiled. "Of course I don't mind, I think it'd be good for it to have some more social time," he said, heading for the kitchen. "Most of the time the leaf stays near my windowbox of herbs; it seems to like it there best. I'm debating trying some incense flavors on it, whether it'd like it or no." Itztli was busy preening over Aria's compliment and didn't notice they were moving until they were almost in the door. "Hey wait for me!" he yelped, skittering after. Rynn picked up the bloom, Ian catching up to her, grabbing ahold of her hair. The gem was heavy, and he was tired, but he wasn't about to lay it down. She followed Sevviekun into the kitchen, Ian hanging on tightly. Once in the kitchen, Ian peeked over Rynn's shoulder. "Leafy!"Aria, who was busy laughing at Itztli, darted into the kitchen, looking around. "Where?""In the terrarium, Aria, and your own bloom is welcome to join it there, Rynn," Sevvie said, filling a cup with water and freshening the water in the terrarium with it. "And how've you been since last we met, Ianios?" He pulled one of the chairs from the table and sat down. Aria flew over as soon as she spied it, landing in the water. She petted the leaf, grinning. Rynn walked over, carefully placing her own inside, letting Aria coo over them both. She joined Sevvie at the table, sitting down. Ian gave the blooms a nod and joined his bond at the table. Finally he put the gemstone down on the table after releasing his hold on Rynn's hair. He gave Sevvie a grin. " Quite well. Learning some moves and exercises from Maq, another feien. Oh!" He gestured to the gemstone. "This is Celaien."Rynn glanced back at Aria, who was busy happily splashing both blooms with some water. She shook her head. "I told him to leave the gem at home.""Ah. He's a very pretty gem," Sevvie said, examining it interestedly but not touching it. He wasn't sure how protective of it Ian might be. "Is this Maq a good teacher then?" he asked, moving on to the safer topic. Ian nodded. "Yeah, Maq's a good teacher. He was showing me some warm up exercises, then the workout, then cool down. It was fun. We meet again in a week." Rynn smirked. "I hope you don't end up with one like Ian, always exploring and all." Ian glared up at Rynn. "I'm offended."She just laughed, reaching out to rub his head. "Really, it's not all that bad. But as I remember, Ian could get himself into some trouble.""Well no offense, Ian, but I think I have quite enough trouble as it is with Itztli..." Sevvie said, laughing. "Sir! You have mortally wounded my honor!" the Surlare said, mock-offended. "Oh shush, you big tail-chaser you," Sevvie retorted, grinning. Rynn laughed, while Ian did look kinda offended. "Well, you never know what you'll get." Which was true, who could predict what the feien inside would be like? Aria flew out of the terrarium, both blooms in her arms. "They wanted to visit!" she said, setting down on the middle of the table, smiling to the fox like creature. "Wanna see the babies?" she asked. "Only babe I'm interested in at the moment is you," Itztli said, grinning winsomely at her. "Itz, stop smarming on Aria. She's a fairy, not a fairy Surlare," Sevvie reprimanded laughingly. "She's still hot," he protested, grinning to show he was just messing. Aria giggled. She was a flirt, but he wasn't her type. But still, he had charm. "I like you!" She walked over to the edge of the table, kissing Itztli on the nose. Ian laughed, shaking his head. He wasn't jealous of Aria, he still thought of her as a sister more than anything. Rynn smirked. "Figured out anything on the bloom? Like if it likes water more, or plant/earth?""Nope, still no idea. It seems to like its terrarium just fine though, so I've decided since it has a bit of both in there, that's safest for it. At least till I know for sure, anyway," Sevvie said, shrugging. "Aww, I bet you say that about all the boys," Itztli said, ducking his head and fluttering his eyelashes at her. Then he grinned at her. "You're pretty cool, Aria. I like you too."Rynn nodded. "I really have not experimented on the bloom I have. It's suppose to help them out, but I'm trying to decide if I want to or not." Sevvie nodded. "Yeah, that's why I haven't tried anything too drastic with the leaf. I've heard that if you aren't careful your experimentation can also hurt it..." He bit his lip, then shrugged. "Well, the leaf seems happy enough, so I suppose the Feien won't come out traumatized at least." Rynn nodded. She understood completely on that. But water and earth type stuff wouldn't harm the bloom. Leaving it out too long in the light might though. "He or she should be fine." She glanced at Aria, Ian and the blooms. Well, Aria was busy with Itztli, giggling. Ian was more like laughing at them both. "Besides, with parents like that, and a bond like you, the feien will be greatly loved, no matter what."Sevvie smiled at Rynn. "Yeah, I suppose you're right. Love is, after all, the most important thing in any relationship, no matter the type or degree," he said, nodding. "All you need is loooove!" crooned Itztli, having caught that part of their conversation. "You keep your nose out of it, master of the flirtatiously unfaithful," shot Sevvie, grinning to take any sting out of the comment. "Ooh! Right through the heart!" the Surlare said, pretending to stagger backwards and putting a paw to his heart in mock-agony. "It burns! It burns like Mexican food!"Aria nearly fell over laughing at the antics of Itztli. He was adorable! She wanted to take him home, but they had so many other pets as well...Still she liked hima lot. Ian was watching the fox creature, totally amused. He smirked, shaking his head. "He's too cute. Where did you find him?" Rynn too watched, thinking some mexican might be good for dinner. "Well I was just wandering around town and I saw these charms in the window. I thought if the feien was a girl she might like to have some pretty objects around to look at instead of all my books and scientific junk," Sevvie admitting, blushing slightly. "But when I found out the charms were alive... well, I still liked them, and I figured having a companion for him or her might not be a bad idea either... It was this little shop called Surlaterre or something like that." Rynn nodded. "Interesting. Perhaps we might try for one, but we're sorta overrun with pets as it is." Ian laughed. "We got dragons, pixapets, there's a small griffon, firebirds..." he trailed off, trying to think. "See what I mean?" she said, grinning. "Goodness, how do you keep them all straight? Don't they fight?" Sevvie asked, a touch worriedly. He glanced over at his leaf as if to make sure it wasn't going to grow up to be belligerent and start attacking Rynn's or something odd like that. Aria shook her head. "No no, they don't fight, not each other at least. Sometimes they fight among themselves, but generally all the pets get along."Rynn nodded, brushing her finger over the leaf. "They all have their own places. Usually they fight if they feel if someone is coming in on their space. The pixas have semi taken over the bottom shelf of a bookcase. The dragons have another shelf. It just varies. Well, one dragon happens to share Ian's bed, but most have their own."Ian nodded. "I named a red dragon Cel, after Cel here." He jerked his thumb towards the gemstone. "He shares my bed. But what Rynn did for all the small pets, feien sized, was she spread out some old towels, kinda leaving them bunched up so they could make their own beds.""Was easier that way." Rynn smirked. But in general, all the pets seemed to get along. There wasn't too much worry within her household. "Got any other questions?""Yeah, we can answer about anything!""Ah. That makes sense," he said, nodding. "I suppose I won't have to worry about space issues then - I doubt I'll get many larger pets. I'd hate for my feien to get squashed, after all, and most larger creatures start out as largeish pups or kits or whatever." He smiled at Rynn. "Nah, I don't think I have any more pressing questions. But I promise if I do, I'll be sure to come ask you," he said, laughing slightly. Rynn smiled. "I knew you'd make a good feien bond." She looked down at the blooms, watching her feien interacting with them. "I am glad you got one of theirs. The feien should be a nice one. You'll have fun.""I'm sure I will," he said, smiling cheerily. "Speaking of nice, where are my manners today? Would any of you like something to drink?" he asked, looking at the three (four if you were counting the bloom). Rynn shook her head. "No, we should be fine. Had lunch before we came over." Aria looked up at Sevviekun. "Have you chosen a name?" She was curious to what her babies would be named. She liked Ian's choices. "Well, okay, if you're sure," he said, settling back into his chair comfortably. "No, I've not decided on a name yet. I figured the little one could help me think of one," he told Aria, smiling. "I might have a name for it, if it's a boy and he likes it..." Ian looked over at that. "What's that?" He wondered what sort of name it would be. Sevvie smiled, though there was a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Aleksander," he said softly. "It's Russian in origins, but if he likes it, that would be the name I'd give him. We've already agreed that if he's a she, she'll help me pick the name," he added, laughing. Rynn patted Sevvie's hand. "That's a lovely name. Perhaps if he turns out to be a she, perhaps she'll want it, but as a female name."Aria nodded, patting the leaf. "It's a nice name. We can call it Alek now!"Ian flew over, patting Sevvie's hand as well. "Yeah...I am sure he or she will like that name." He glanced at the leaf. "Well, can't call you Leafy now, Alek." He smiled, showing that he wasn't upset at not being able to call the leaf Leafy. "I suppose so," Sevvie said, laughing. "So maybe Aleksandria, then? We will see, we will see." He smiled. "Is there a name pre-chosen for your bloom, then, Rynn?" She looked to her two feien. "Well, guys?"Ian smirked. "Chanlin for a boy...""Kira for a girl," Aria finished. Rynn glanced to the clock. It was getting late, and she had really just wanted to let Aria meet the leaf and let Sevvie see her own. "We should get going. I still need to go grocery shopping and all. Thanks, Sevvie. Give me a call sometime, will you?" "Of course," he said, standing and walking with them to the door. "Those are lovely names, you two, and I'm sure he or she will like either of them just fine. It was nice seeing you guys again." Rynn gathered up the bloom and the gemstone, calling her feien to her. They followed Sevvie to the door. "Thanks for the lovely time. Come on over sometime!" With that, she walked out, Aria and Ian following close behind. "Bye! Bye!"

Surlares grow REALLY quickly. Itztli turned into an ADULT today. o.0; There was a flash of bright light, and suddenly he was much, much bigger. ...Of course, being Itztli, that also meant he felt the need for new personal ornaments to complement his increased stature. u.u;; So, being the somewhat of a pushover that I am, I consented and now he has a new necklace-collar and several bangles about his paws. I swear he must be a musician at heart, he jingles so with each step... The owner of the store and I joked that he was so heavy with all his jewelry that he'd sink - and maybe that was his plan: to get rescued by a hot lifeguard babe. XD It was quite amusing.

I've decided to go ahead and try out some incenses like I've been debating. Today's "flavor" is lavender, and the leaf seems to be enjoying that already. I'm already betting it'll tend towards more plant and herb type flavors, so tomorrow I'll try rose or bayleaf.

I was right - the leaf has definitely responded well to the planty-flavored incenses. Its favorites are jasmine, bayleaf, lavendar, and rose. It likes the rose so much I'm burning another little stick of it as I write this. Smells pretty good, so I guess the leaf has good taste. Heh.
I eagerly await the day when he or she will grow into a fairy, and I most devoutly hope I am there to see it emerge. Other than that, there's not much to write - Itztli's been going off to the Surlaterre park to chase tails or just lying about lazily at home. I suppose I shall update when there is something worthwhile to write about. Till then, my journal.
