Raine took the time that they were talking to each other, to realize that Xen only had one arm left, one hit to him and he would be out. Than he could face kimiko, who knew though she could be even faster. Watching her attack though made her seem less of a threat. Quickly, he struck without a word. Pulling his left hand up while his whole body pushed forward in a movement. It was a stretch but if he played his cards right he could get Xen. This would leave him near Kimiko though, he needed to be careful, to watch her reaction. And he needed to be ready if he missed to get out of the way. It was a serious risk but one he was about to take.

Xenon's eyes flickered. His effort was dead even with Raine's, this was what he'd been waiting for, a true test between there speeds... For a moment the world seemed to freeze in Xen's eyes, their golden hue taking in the world. He smiled. Had he wished it, he could have avoided with a simple Shunshin, it would have been simple...but he'd learned what he'd wanted to, and besides, what better way to leave the game than denying Kimiko what she wanted?

He smiled apparently quite pleased. "Oh dear...it seems I've bee got."

Kimiko nearly fell over again, steadying herself at the last minute. "H-hey! That's not fair Maboroshi!! Get back here so I can hit you!"

Xenon however just shrugged "Now Kimiko that simply wouldn't do. The rules clearly state that once you've been hit twice your out. And Raine has hit me twice now, so out I am."

Kimiko glared daggers at him. "Oh and you seem so torn up over it..."

"Don't I though?" Xen noted airily, his smirk fighting to find it's way to his features. "Good Luck Momoe-san, I'm rooting for you."

Kimiko was muttering somthing that distinctly sounded like "Jerk."

Kimiko was now keeping here balance her eyes locked on Raine. She was angry about not being able to hit Maboroshi... she was surprised she'd just realized it. She'd yet to land a blow on her rival. Even one clean blow.

And now she was facing someone even faster than Maboroshi...how in the world was she going to do this? Raine was in a bad position for dodging her from his attack on Maboroshi, but even so, he knew she was coming, she only had one shot, and one shot only. She tensed her muscles, her eyes cutting the air towards Raine with their gaze. 'Okay...I just... I need to think of this just like sword training... just like I'm training with mom.

Xenon's expression changed slightly. 'Well well, what's this? Kimiko's entire countenance changed so suddenly...perhaps I underestimated her after all...'

She seemed to fall suddenly unreadable, mimicking her mother as she often did when using her sword skills. 'Alright...I'm gambling it all on this one strike... in her mind she was holding her sword at the ready, now staying balanced perfectly... 'Look for the opening...' her emerald eyes seemed to glint as though they'd found something... 'AND-' "NINJA!"

Raine stared hard into Kimiko's eyes. A fire burning there that he hadn't seen before and greatly resembled what he felt while fighting. An odd connection being made between opponents that made him smile. A firm smirk none the less, he was focused on the win as well. Being careful to breathe properly Raine met her eyes and kept them. Aware of his body completely, and ready to move within a moment notice. Her glance became so hard Raine actually pulled his head back a bit in surprise. He had never seen a girl like this before. And for this, he had lost! Kimiko had already growled her battle cry and his hand has hit hard. "OH no way!" Raine laughed shaking his hand. "Wow, you totally one. Xen, I bet she would have had you on that one!" he stepped back up to his height and flipped his hair back. "See wasn't that a good game?"

Kimiko was jumping up and down, throwing her fists into the air "I won! I won! I won! I-"

"Still never actually hit me."

Kimiko turned on Maboroshi looking ready for war. "Hey Maboroshi! You heard what Raine said! I would have gotten you on that one, he beat you and I beat him so that means that I beat you."

Xenon conceded "Oh indeed, you beat me. But you still never actually hit me."

Kimiko was flabbergasted, her mouth opening and closing as she stared nonplussed at her rival. "I...but that...that's not..." she suddenly clenched her fists and crossed her arms. "well when sensei shows up we'll be sparing, we'll see who hits who then! I'm going to show you the true power of a heroine Maboroshi, so your Anti hero self better be ready!"

Xenon pushed up his glasses "Of course Momoe-san, I await it with baited breath."

Raine smiled, "Yeah, dude! She would have totally schooled you." Raine put his hand up for a high five from Kimiko, the weight on his wrist falling back on his arm.

Dash stepped out from the small house, seemingly checking it out before realizing they were in the back. "Hey, you three. Jeeze way to get here early." he was actually impressed by their punctuality showing up a few minutes early himself. "What kind of shenanigans are you all getting up to than?" Surprisingly in a lighter mood. Dash had both his swords strapped to his back and his hands tucked away in his pockets.

As Kimiko gave a high five, Xen's eyes seemed to glint on the weight, a smile still on his face, as he turned his attention to their Sensei. "Ah, Sensei." he reached into his white coat and pulled out his watch. "Right on time." he snapped it closed. "And we were just playing a little game. Nothing more."

Kimiko was smiling cheerfully again as her attention turned to their sensei. "Good Morning Sensei! Er Dash...er..." she looked at him slgithly pleadingly "Um, I know you said not to call you sensei Sensei," she looked even more pleading "but can I call you sensei anyway? I've always wanted to call someone that."

Xenon let out a single chuckled, placing both his hands in his pockets as he stood at attention, apparently awaiting orders of some variety. Xenon didn't really expect much from their sensei, but he did know that Kimiko was correct, sparing would be involved today, and it would be an opportunity for him to match up against others of his own skill level.

Fighting regular Genin was pointless, and in most cases far to simple, Kimiko and Raine on the other hand... they were on his level, if in different areas.

"Yeah, whatever. Just don't call me sir or something like that it makes me feel old." Dash gestured inside. "It's getting pretty cold out here." With that he turned back through the glass sliding door and stepped out of sight.

Raine turned with him quickly, happy to see their sensei wasn't such a jackass after all. Still hot with the movement of ninja destruction Raine didn't notice the cold much, along with the sun of midday he felt it was more brisk than cold. The thought of first stepping into their team headquarters was thrilling and Raine pushed inside quickly. What a place it was! He smiled, it was almost as cool as the outside. They even had aping pong table! Raine was just about to start playing with it when Dash ushered him over to the area where a white board surrounded by chairs lay in the corner of the room.

"Okay, first off. I heard about what happened yesterday, You guys did really good. Worked as a team and beat a high level ninja a heard."He wasn't going to mention it, but it was actually a staggering feet, and most of the village was buzzing with the news of genin saving the village.

"So I'm glad you all proved me wrong yesterday." He looked to each one of them, and stayed with Xen's eyes for quite a while. "Now, don't get full of yourselves, you're still brats. I'm sure you saw that you all needed a lot more work." He recalled the fact that one of the three had been severely injured ans it wasn't hard to figure out which one that was.

"Today, we are going to go over the jutsu that you already know. Also, you guys are going to start learning some of the D rank jutsu if you haven't already learned them. Than if you guys finish in time we will have some sparing matches." He had taken his hands out of his pocket and pushed his glasses up above his eyes, revealing them for the first time, they were strikingly kind and understanding.

"So what jutsu do you all know?"

Raine quickly took the chance and thrust his hand up into the air. Even though this was unnecessary, Raine didn't even wait to be called on he was so excited,"I know all the academy jutsu, and then I know By a Step, which reduces an enemies attack, and Soul of the Boxer, which helps me move faster, and than I know Rock Spike Thrust." he said this last one with much more energy as if even the name was power. "That one, I take a a big rock, and than I through it up into the air and smash it so that it shatters!"

Dash sighed at this, "Wait wouldn't that hurt you the most?"

Raine shook his head, "No way, Tekkenseisai are the ultimate shield."

"Mmmhmmm." Raine had at least some higher powered jutsu, but none of these would help in a ninja situation. Surely they'd be effective in a battle. But he had proven in the forest yesterday that he still needed a lot more training.

(My internet kicked out for a while there, it's one thing after another today sad )

"It's cold?" Maboroshi chuckled and Kimiko looked at him slightly clueless "what's funny?"

Xenon, who's labcoat, customized as it was, was far warmer than one may have been led to believe was actually quite content. What was so funny though, was Kimiko. In all the years Xen had known her, Kimiko was always rather oblivious when it came to the temperature. It had to be at least snowing for example, before she recognized it as cold. Perhaps it was the fire she seemed to carry around with her inside, but she never succumbed to mere chilly weather. "Nothing Momoe-san." he brought his fingers up to his lips and suddenly gave a sharp whistle.

Kimiko was startled at first but then she saw her rival's crow soar suddenly from the tree line, black feathers gliding the air currents. It slowly cut it's speed, until it at last fluttered down to land on it's master's shoulder, making it seem easy. Okay she'd admit, that was kind of cool.

"Hey chief, what's up?"

Xenon had already started to follow their Sensei inside. "We're headed inside, and besides my squad Leader has arrived...I wouldn't want to deprive you the pleasure of meeting him."

Mokutan gave a chuckle that, now Kimiko noted it, sounded alot like Maboroshi's, and trust her, she knew that chuckle better than anyone. She'd heard it more times than she cared to count. As Mokutan asked Xen if he won, Kimiko herself was starting to wonder what else they'd be doing today besides sparring...

As they arrived in the interior, Kimiko noting that they had a Ping pong table, Mokutan noting they had a mini fridge, Xenon had to admit that he too was once more impressed, and then they all turned their attention to Dash when he spoke.

'Hmm, well well,' Xen's look was now unreadable. 'This is certainly a switch.' he gave a small smile of his own. 'Perhaps we misjudged each other...we'll see. I too would happy to be proven wrong in this case.'

Kimiko nodded with determination at comment about needing more work. She knew that, and she was glad that her sensei did as well.

"Today, we are going to go over the jutsu that you already know. Also, you guys are going to start learning some of the D rank jutsu if you haven't already learned them. Than if you guys finish in time we will have some sparing matches." He had taken his hands out of his pocket and pushed his glasses up above his eyes, revealing them for the first time, they were strikingly kind and understanding.

Xen's light hearted manners now seemed slightly more genuine, as he answered in Raine's wake. "I'm versed in all Academy Jutsu, Demonic Illusion, Shadow Intimidation, Shunshin, Kai Release, and Medical Ninjutsu." to show this his hand glower green with the light of the healing technique. "4 D-ranks and C-rank over all, Dash."

Kimiko puffed up her cheeks slightly. She'd known all but the last two. Had Maboroshi mastered a new jutsu already? You had to be kidding! She herself stepped forward, admitting, looking at her rival with a slightly begrudging pout "Besides all the Academy Jutsu, I only have extra Ninjutsu." she suddenly regained her determination. "But it IS the Grand Fireball. And I'm working really hard so I can learn another one."

Just as Dash had figured Xen had some good jutsu especially shushin, that was extremely helpful. At least he was smart enough to pick his jutsu well. "Okay, pretty much what I expected from you."

Dash stepped over to the ping-pong table where a card-board box sat a large sticker with the symbol of Oto's weapon shop.

"As for me. I focus on elemental jutsu, I know mainly fire and earth justu, mixed in with a few tai, gen, and med jutsu. But I put a lot of effort in these babies." He pulled his hand up to his duel katanas slung on his back. "I'd have to say that you and I have a lot in common with out fighting styles." he looked to Kimiko,"You're probably going to have to put in a few extra hours now an again with me in some swordsmanship lessons."

He didn't mean to make the others feel bad or left out but it was true, from what he could tell Raine had his own sensai sharing a bloodline of course, which handled his main fighting style, and Xen... maybe he had a teacher but either way he was progressing on his specialized skills well.

"Now today, you guys are going to learn exploding tag activate." Dash opened the box and pulled out tags and Kunai placing them on the table. "Basically, you attach a bit of your chakra onto this, throw in and than focus your chakra to ignite it from afar. The trick with this jutsu is using your chakra outside of your body. Now, I've got a good few of these, an I want you to at least explode three of them, if you get 6 of em I'll let you stop early. Now beat it." He threw his thumb towards the door and stepped aside so they could grab some Kunai and tags. The man was making his way to the door when he felt a small hand on his coat. "Hmm?"

Raine grabbed Dashes coat quickly, hopefully far enough from the others to be out of ear shot. "Hey, Dash-sensei?"

"What?" The man placed his glasses back over his eyes, and flung his hand through his hair.

"Well, it's just that.... you know well.... Chakra you see, it's just that-" The small boy hung his head low barely able to speak with what he was about to say.

"Well come on spit it out." Dash turned his head to the side a bit, it was odd for someone so rambunkshus and outspoken to e acting so shy.

"Dash, I can't do chakra. It's just not natural, I just, I can't do it." He whispered his pride sinking to the floor.

The man laughed, "Ha, not natural you say? Eh, it may be harde, because you don't have so much control but that doesn't mean it's not natural. Come on I'll show you how." He stepped back grabbing a good armful of Kunai and a stack of tag, before stepping outside.

Jibaku Fuda: Kassei, (Exploding Tag: Activate)
Utilizing chakra, the user is able to activate the explosion mechanism of a distant bomb tag.
Cp cost: 3 per tag
Damage: Exploding tag damage [10-20]
Requirements: Chakra Control 5
Training: 1 day or Learn in the academy. (With dash it would technically be 9, but let's not go lower than that. I'm pretty sure that's the right math, 15% of 10 1.5 so lower it to 1 =9)

Xenon took the tag, examining it with interest. "Hm...the exploding tag... didn't..."

Mokutan nodded "Yep. He sure did."

Xen nodded "Yes I thought so. Very well." he turned around, intent on heading outside as Kimiko was examining the tags with squinted eyes.

Kimiko tilted her head slightly. "So...that's easy... your basically just filling this thing with you're chakra, then covert the chakra to fire right? Okay..." she trotted out after Maboroshi, holding the tags in her hand like a set of bills. Once outside, she found Maboroshi already at work, his eyes examining the tags carefully, as though expecting their properties.

As Kimiko made her stand about five feet to his left, slipping the spare tags in her hip pouch, she started to filter her chakra passively into the tag. All in all it shouldn't have been that different from her grand fireball jutsu, she was just remotely converting the chakra to heat, as opposed to using her fingers as the pivotal point.

"Say, Maboroshi, do you think...we should help Raine out?" Xen didn't answer her "I mean... he isn't exactly the best when it comes to chakra control. As a team, don't you think-" she jumped slightly as the tag which Maboroshi hurled off over the open sand pit area exploded, his arm outstretched, eyebrow quirked.

"Nice one Chief." Mokutan noted with a nod.

Xenon didn't nod in turn but instead pushed up his glasses, his golden eyes seemingly sharp. "No... Not quite... it exploded a few seconds after I'd intended... but that's the basic idea any way... controlling the precise moment of detonation, how much chakra you put in..." he fell into a muttering, going over the various points himself.

Kimiko frowned and faced the pit herself. Her chakra filling the tag she hurled it in the same manner, but as she triggered it, her chakra literally incinerated the paper, rather than detonating it as Xen's had. She blinked surprised before puffing out her cheeks. 'Oh maaan... what did I do wrong?'

"That's too much chakra Momoe-san, you literally overloaded it." Kimiko blinked looking back to Maboroshi, who was looking at her appraisingly. "You can think of it as similar to chakra control. Too much and you fall off the wall."

Kimiko was staring at the next tag in her hand, then nodded "Okay...I'll give it another go. Thanks Maboroshi."

"Hm." He himself was examining his own tag again.

Pi pulled his head out of Raine's pocket. "Raine why do you sound so sad, I can here it in your body you know. I thought you said you were gonna be the greatest ninja?"

Raine flushed red, as the little voice said this next to dash. "What I-I."

Dash snickered before looking down to Raine's pocket. "Oh got a little friend have you? A little wo-"

"Wait!" Raine intrrupted, Dash flinched with the boy yelling in his ears.

"Geeze, what's your deal?!" he stood up looking down at the boy.

"Sorry, it's just he's very frisky." Raine shook his head very seriously. While the man above him broke into a smile.

"Sure, whatever kid. Anyway let's get back to training." Dash, zipped his coat up, before taking a Kunai and tying a exploding tag to it. "K, you see this seal that's where the explosion comes from, and once it burns away with your chakra it will explode." He handed the Kunai to Raine. Who peered into the seal as if there were a whole world inside it. "So just concentrate your chakra up into your hands and than your fingers than there. And please make sure you don't let it out while you're still holding it." At this Raine gulped. Dash just smiled mischievously.

Raine stepped out toward the forest, he gazed off picking a good place to throw it. Than holding the Kunai, Raine grabbed the tag, closing his eyes and breathing deeply. Focusing on his center, where the chakra in him resided quickly he built up the energy, this part was easy, it was controlling it that really fixed him. Scrunching his face Raine pushed the energy upward through his arm and into his hand. As soon as it reach the tip of his finger Raine spun out, throwing the weapon. It shot through the air with presicion and skill butt soon came to a stop in a thick tree, where it stayed unexploded.

"So...Maboroshi..." Kimiko looked at him sideways, as the two practiced, focusing chakra as they prepared their tags, still attempting to master the jutsu. "What jutsu did you get from that persons house? That Hatchi guy."

Xen tossed the Tag, a partial explosion the result, Kimiko tossing hers just after. Like before the chakra was a little over used, but she seemed to be slowly improving. "That Hatchi guy"?" Xen had a small smile in place. "Well you should probably know that "That Hatchi guy" was a Sennin you know, perhaps you should use his proper title."

Kimiko smiled "Are you kidding, if that guy taught Raine, I'll bet he didn't like titles any more than I do."

"Yet you insisted on calling Dash Sensei..."

Kimiko was readying her next tag, her emerald eyes focusing in on the thickness. "That's totally different. Sensei is an Honorific, not a title."

"Yet you don't use those much either." Mokutan had by this time, already fluttered off to a near by tree branch, watching the two deal with their explosives at a distance. It wasn't that he was afriad of getting blown up or anything... oh no, he was just...uh...taking precautions. Yeah.

Kimiko finally mounting a complete success, her smile shining slightly as she watched the perfected detonation, she didn't even consider that her shouting her success in his ear might throw her rival off. She put her hand over her mouth as the tag he threw merely fluttered to the ground. "Um...sorry."

Xen gave a slight sigh. "Think nothing of it." he said courteously, but his slightly exasperated tone made it sound less than genuine. "At any rate... back your original question. He retrieved the tag from the ground and prepared to try again. "I actually did a little bit of reading up on our friend Hatchi, and what I found might interest you."

Kimiko picked up another tag as well. "Oh really? Like he was actually famous or something?"

Xen shrugged "Well, Famous might not be the word. He wasn't world renowned, or even the level of a Kage, but he was certainly impressive, well above Jounin."

Kimiko seemed curious. "So, what did you find out?"

Xenon seemed to focus on a particular spot on the tag. "Mostly just trivial things, like that he was apparently a womanizer." Kimiko rolled her eyes but he continued. "But even more so than that, he was also rather mysterious. Having almost no one who knows more than vague whispers about his past..."
