Nero nodded slowly then just leaned back to cuddle with his brother, bike lessons were fun.

"Yep she can fly but she doesn't much cause she says it's not as fast as other things most of the time." Taylor shrugged, unable to fly himself he could only take her word for it.

" Papa can fly," Nero murmured " he has wings." The betta child had never actually seen his papa fly but he had wings and that had to mean he could.

The green banged boy nodded " I can't wait to learn stuff." Unlike many of the things he learned in school Taylor knew he could make the most of this lesson. Maybe he could even show off some new stuff next time Penny or Mareike went riding with him, he might not be super strong or have magical like them but he could surely learn some bike tricks.

" Sure, is it far, my legs kinda feel like jelly," the boy wasn't just saying that either, he was well aware of exactly how jelly felt. Normally the long and tall framed child had great endurance but the lesson while fun had been draining on him and his legs and feet really wanted a bit of a break before going much further. Hopefully Taylor'd get stronger before the next lesson so it didn't happen again.


Nero was lying on the grass watching the two older boys and poking a ladybug that had wandered near him.

Merrill smiled over at the trio of boys " Welcome Taylor, you can just call me Merrill " the angel gestured towards the fridge before looking at his older son " You can offer your friend whatever you want except the pineapple mango juice." It was his new obsession and he wasn't even sharing it with Zane. other than that though the boys were welcome to devour whatever they could get their hands on, they were growing children after all.

Taylor smiled back, tail swaying to help keep balance as he gave a polite sort of bow. The pride spawn was trying very hard to not outright stare at the glowing man, it was well weird to see something like that at least for him anyways. " It's nice to meet you, you're house is nice."

Nero's fins rippled a little as he looked pleadingly at his older brother " Shy I need cookies an a nap." The betta child could feel himself getting tired out of habit and becuase watching people was tiring. Still, he needed cookies first, can;t sleep on an empty tummy.

" How come you don't have a halo?" It was the first question that popped into Taylor's head and as he waited for an answer he nibbled on his last cookie rather thankful that Nero was cute, if that was indeed the reason they had the cookies.

Merrill laughed softly " For my specific kind of angel we only have halos as children, gold for males and silver for females."

"Orange is good except for kool-aid, it doesn't really taste like anything." Taylor wasn't exactly a food aficianado but he was well aware what tastes he did and did not like. " Aren't halos too big to be a ring?" Most ones he saw depicted or on people on the street were big enough to go around his tail. " Like a neck ring?" There were those weird earth people who put rings on their necks to make them long.

The seraph laughed and shook his head "We have magic so that we can shrink them into finger rings for our spouses." Not everyone did it wasn't too uncommon and well for Merrill it had meaning, even if Zane didn't need the ring to be connected to him.

" Are you gonna marry an angel then so you can have a halo?" It made sense, some sort of family tradition right?

Merrill stayed silent at that curious to see what Shylock had to say, wondering if the boy thought that far ahead just yet.
