[The only other time I've ever posted my real name online is in my main account's journal. It feels funny now that it's out there for everyone to see, because that's one of the "few" things I actually tend to keep to myself. gonk But I had to say something...y'all know me by know. xd Later, I'm going to edit this post with an excerpt from that journal entry for your amusement. 3nodding ]

Parents giving their kids "black names" is fine. What I have a problem with are those parents who think it's cute to give their son or daughter a name that is either unpronounceable, or unable to be spelled correctly without the child having the name permanently pasted on his/her shirt. Or worse, both.

That crap is not cute. The only thing it does is cause headaches for the kid and others.

My friend keeps saying that around me and it makes me want to cut out her tongue.

I wouldn't really resort to violence, but damn, it's really annoying hearing that. "Lexus" and "Alexis" have nothing to do with each other. I've been hearing that "car" bullshit the whole length of my existance.

what's even funnier is that another of my neighbors really tried to change her own name to 'Alexus', until the song came out, and she changed her mind real quick!
