Perhaps against his better judgement Hikaro embraced the small boy, holding his compact frame to his chest. Klonoa was shivering as he spoke, and it was all Hikaro could do to keep Klonoa from further losing it.

If sunlight could have a smell, it would be what Hikaro smelled like. He smelled of warm bread, and wheat, of wooden chairs by an open window, and of memories. He was warm, his touch gentle and loving, he was the embodiment of purity, of warmpth and devotion, and always just being there.

"I'm here for you Klonoa. I'll help you if you need me to. Don't be afraid...Please...Oh..." Hikaro felt the familiar sting of tears himself. It was tragic, how such a young child had to face such titanic obsticals. At a loss of what else to do, Hikaro began to sing.

Gifted as a songbird was, Hikaro's voice was tender and light, a stark contrast to the ruins around them. The words that came to him he could not recall having heard before, yet were oddly familiar.

If you look up thousands
Of shining stars
Ever unchanging, gaze
At us

When you are lost
Think of true kindness
For if you are hurt they want to be your strength

Whether be it sad times or lonely times
I'll be at your side
But I cannot
Take the place of your pains for you

If you look up perhaps
The gaze of the thousands of shining stars
Is everlasting gentleness

Here on this planet
Our chance encounter
Becomes the courage to open the door to tomorrow

When morning comes
The stars cease to be seen but
In darkness or in light
They silently wait for the future

More than words at times
A single smile rescues
A dream drowned in darkness
For me

When morning comes
The stars cease to be seen but
In darkness or in light
They silently wait for the future

Klonoa enjoyed his friend's prescence (I know I spelled this wrong. sweatdrop ) and the small marble Hououza loosened his grip and looked up at him with awe. Hikaro's voice was so pretty and he was just so comforting that Klonoa had no desire to ever leave his golden friend's side. He snifled and gave Hikaro a tiny smile. "Thank you... Hikaro."

Hikaro smiled when Klonoa looked up at him, tears stilled at least momentarily. They were suspended on violet lashes, glittering in the light. Timidly, Hikaro brushed the watery orbs away with his thumb.
"My pleasure, Klonoa. Don't be afraid."

With his other hand he gently ran it through Klonoa's suprisingly soft lavender hair. Gosh, this boy was just purple all over, wasn't he? Hikaro chuckled quietly at how unbearably cute Klonoa was.
"Maybe it's this place? Do you want me to take you home?" Hikaro asked, knowing Asher was SO in for it when they got to Hikaro's house. The little snot had upset the wrong person. And he was usually so nice, Hikaro wondered what the problem was.

Klonoa closed his violet eyes, his small marble hands hugging himself. "It reeks of death here. I can't stand much more of it. I won't trouble you Hikaro." Klonoa pulled away from his beautiful golden friend and turned away. "I'm sorry, perhaps tomorrow I'll be okay again." A sudden shiver racked his tiny body and his purple hair fell lightly into his eyes. Something about Hikaro totally calmed him down and he'd rather not waste his time. Klonoa hated the world for all it's evil and it was just as Zan had feared, his innocence was drowning and he was trying to live, trying to breathe but he was overwhelmed with the horrific way the world was run and it was a loosing battle. He was weak, unconfident and he knew it. He knew at this rate, he'd die against his sister, and he also knew that he wanted to spread kindness but he wasn't going to do it if his world came crashing around him. He spoke lightly, his next words chosen from his heart and said in a light angelic way. "Though the ship may rock about on the sea, and though the ship may sink, the passengers on the ship can survive should they have the courage. Though for the few weak of heart, the sea shall overtake them, drowning them amongst the world's sorrows and their cause will end there. No matter how noble it was, no god shall save them."

Hikaro reached out to Klonoa and lightly tapped the bottom of his chin to cause the violet eyes to look up into his. Hikaro's words were firm, but not harsh.
"Listen to me." He began, making a point of pausing to be sure he had Klonoa's full attention.
"You are never troubling me. Don't ever be afraid to ask my assistance if you need it, because from here on, I will always be there when you call for me. Even the strong need help sometimes, it does not make them weak. The weak hearted are those who give up without their best effort."

He stood up, Klonoa needed to be taken home, or at least away from the ruins of this decrepid village. It was changing him, inciting thoughts of Mirabelle and of destruction.

"Asher, come here." Hikaro said, darting his eyes to the house the silver haired Hououza entered. Asher was almost Hikaro's complete opposite, like Mirabelle was to Klonoa. Even they looked physically opposite. The difference came about where Hikaro was in full control over Asher, where Klonoa's future with Mirabelle was dubious, as she posessed unknown power.
The dark skinned Hououza quickly obeyed his older brother. It took a lot to make Hikaro upset, but when he did the repurcussions were dire.

((Did you want to move the rp away from here? Hikaro can carry Klonoa and Asher, and drop Asher off at the library, or something.))

((Yes... Klonoa needs to go home... Bella grew... >.<; ))

Klonoa swallowed and looked down. He was ashamed, he thought Hikaro was angry. This place was depressing, he wanted to be happy. He wanted to be like he used to be, innocent and untroubled. Suddenly he looked up at the sky sharply. "Oh no... oh no ... Hikaro." He spun to face the golden hououza. "She grew... I've gotta go home... now." His eyes narrowed and his hands clenched.

Hikaro wasn't angry, he just wanted to press the point, so Klonoa would understand. Hikaro was picking up Asher when Klonoa's eyes went skyward, and he lamented that the one he feared, his sister, had grown from the feather and was going to reap all sorts of hell.

Hikaro, fortunately, knew the way more or less to Klonoa's house. They moved, didn't they? It shouldn't be too far away, now. With Asher curled up in arm, Hikaro crouched and scooped Klonoa into his other arm, not pausing for hesitation before he leapt into the air, great golden wings rocketing the three of them heavenward with great ease. Hikaro's arms were strong, his grip solid though not crushing.

The ruins below fell away to nothingness in moments as Hikaro gained altitude, soaring through the clouds that broke away as they passed. Banking, Hikaro made a beeline for Haku's library, The Mezzanine, as it was closer than Klonoa's house would be. Great golden plumes outstretched, Hikaro used the winds to the fullest advantage, propelling them forth. Ordinarily he'd have liked Klonoa's first airborne journey to be less...urgent, but time was of the essence.

Stopping briefly at the library, Hikaro barely had time to drop Asher onto his feet in front of the door before ascending once again.
"Klonoa, where is your house?" He asked, listening to the younger hououza's directions and speeding the two of them toward his house, toward Mirabelle, and toward an uncertain confrontation.

(Did you want to resume the rp somewhere else, or another time?)
PostPosted: Sun Dec 11, 2005 3:02 pm

((I'd like it if Hikaro would stay with Klonoa for a confrontation at an rp spot I'll be making.))

Klonoa held onto Hikaro and looked down, he didn't really like flying. He pointed in a direction. "That way." His eyes were a mix of all sorts of feelings. Unhappiness, weariness... all the things he was not. He was changing and his sister would be the demise... Klonoa's soul was breaking apart from the inside and no one could really stop it unless someone could save him... and possibly that only person would be Hikaro.

Flame had decided to do some travling. She had heard there was another village near by and she had set to find it. With her two hououza in tow. Adish held her hand and she carried Ranger on her shoulders. She didn't want him to fall behind or trip over things. She wanted to take care of Ranger right and was trying to be very careful to not treat him too differently.

"Where are we going Mama Flame?" Adish asked, holding her journal in one arm and Flame's dark slim hand engufed his own.

"To a village" she answered, smiling down at the tan and orange Hououza.

"What kind of village?" Adish asked, he always had a million questions and he had to be sure to ask them because Ranger was wondering about it too and he didn't talk to anyone but him. Adish asked him why and Ranger just shruged. He didn't like to talk and Adish did. So Adish took his questions seriously.

"A village with gaurdians like me" Flame told him and smiled again, "And Hououza's like you, Ranger and Enya. Maybe you can meet some and make friends. I want you and Ranger to have friends growing up. Enya had a few but then we went away and we had Liberty for a while. Things were complicated" Flame's signal to not asked and Adish respected signals. Ranger gave him a lot.

Ranger listened to Sunset talk to Mama Flame. Mama Flame called him Adish but Ranger knew him as Sunset. He rested his hand on Flame's head, holding her hair lightly so he wouldn't fall but Flame had a firm grip on one of his legs. He didn't fear falling. He listened carefully to Sunset's questions and Mama Flame's answers.

Other Hououza? Ranger felt a lick of fear. What if Sunset left him to be with the other Hououza? Ranger didn't want to loose Sunset. Only Sunset really could understand him.

((Awww...Flame, ranger sounds sooo cute!))

Roselite sat in the midst of the flowers, watching Sasame run around the flowers. The pink haired hououza was still young enough to have some fun, but she has yet to meet anyone else.

Sasame stopped running and looked toward the entrance to the village. "We're gonna have visitors soon mom."

Roselite smiled. She dearly missed the days when Sasame called her 'mommy' or 'momma' but at least she called her something. "Really darling, who?"

"Not sure...but there are definiately some like me coming."

Roselite perked up. "Maybe you can make a friend Sasame."

"Maybe..." So Sasame continued to stand, trying to see the visitors.
