I've managed to effectively kill off a guild at the beginning of 3.1 by transferring with the raid leader to another server. We were both officers that people would listen to, and not the GM. >.> So the guild went poof after we left that night.

My guild(s), i usally don't stay long in a guild due to reasons of politics. I tend to be a hardcore raider on my mains. Yes mains, i run 2 healers in the same guild biggrin . But if the guild i am doesn't work out. Which it should, i probably am going to switch servers to a top ranked raiding guild or something.

Man you guys are talking about guild hopping and I don't understand how you're happy like that. Before I rerolled horde I guild hopped on my alliance all the time and I hated every guild I was in! I was in the top guild on my server at the time clearing all the content and even that wasn't making me happy. It wasn't until I ended up with my bf (and his brothers who are now really good friends of mine) and have been in the same guild ever since that I started to enjoy the guild atmosphere

Our raidleader was sneaky and just took her boyfriend and abandoned our guild one night.
And she gave position of GM to the most incompetent person possible. D:
I however, LOVE the guild I'm currently in, and one of my guildies from said abandoned guild ended up in there too. It's all dandy nowadays~

Ive had plenty of guilds i left for a good or not reasons. I even try making my own guilds.... but i dont have the patience to wait for it to really kick up. id never switch realms, just make a new char or something, i am going to make a raiding guild once i start up again because i already have a 10 man team ready once i do. we wont hard core raid cuz i just dont have the time, and id like to do old school and BC raids to so raid/social i would classify it

TRANOiD Hvymtlrocks just get a new guild, dont have to change servers sheesh almost never an option when a guild dissolves unless you are bad Agreed with TRANOiD. We had not one guild left on the server who either wasn't a true elitist jerk who would not take both a feral and a resto druid. The only guild that was above us basically looked down on us and there was no reason for us to try to join them. The only option was to either go casual and go back to the old group of friends (which I still talk to) and not go through the higher level content and do old content with the awesome gear, or to transfer servers and see what is going on. Tariean Why did you not take your gold and materials with you?? Oh, I took enough to keep me supplied for a while. I can farm my own food and my boyfriend makes our gems and I farm for our flasks. We're easily set except I need to drop LW for enchanting. And, 20k gold goes a long while. I still left a very sizable chunk of money on my old server (that was just a drop in the bucket). 'Sides, in three days I made 20k more off of auctions and some things I bought over to sell (lol runed orbs selling for outrageous amounts compared to cheapness on our old server). On another note, I am finding out that Wrath launch servers are not all they are cracked up to be. I'm thus far not terribly happy with this new guild.

I'm happy I play with a good group of people and friends. I think it's really sad how much the WoW community has changed since Vanilla and how Blizz caters to them now. It's just not the same game anymore that it used to be and the player base is getting worse and more immature it seems.

I started off as alli on one server in a guild that was run by the person who got me into WoW. It was a completely useless guild that had 10 people in it, none of whom were ever on. One of my good friends who plays convinced me to reroll horde and join her guild on another server. She said it was very active. It died right after I joined. The only person I ever talked to in that guild decided to switch servers so I made a new toon on his new server. I ended up making a great deal of friends on the new server and I ended up transferring my main to that server. I joined a guild on the new server and I've stuck with it for months. It's a really good guild with lots of fun people. We aren't really hardcore but we have a lot of people in the 70s range so when the get to 80 we'll probably start raiding.
So if anyone is looking for a fantastic guild on Mok'Nathal server horde side pm me and I'll get you in.

Got super sick of relying on my friends not being terrible to make me happy. Now I realize I'd much rather just play the game every once in a while.

@TRANOiD: Yeah, I am seriously considering leveling my other toons and sticking to my original guild that has always been there for me. And maybe try to revive those few people who stopped roleplaying in favor of PvE....Argent Dawn kind of fails at RP now.
