"Close your eyes Bite your tongue And pretend you never Saw the sun rise Or herd a song sung With wistful wonder" -Omg A Name- Kathrine Jean Johnson :.Kat.: Kat sighed. "I might be going, but I don't have to like it." Ok yeah that was still pretty lame. But whatever. It wasn't the leaving here forever that really freaked her out though, it was the fact that they might not make it. Which was kinda twisted maybe, especially when she made it seem she didn't want to go at all.
She just... Kat looked down and said quietly, not even necessarily meaning for anyone to hear, "Maybe I don't want to get my hopes up, just in case..."
Kat shook her head and stood up quickly, almost like a jump. "I'm only going because of you anyway!" she said, sorta looking toward Kyle who was in direct vision, in front of everyone else, but she met them. Of course.
Trying to not look like such a snob, just waved to all of them and left quickly, striding away back toward her house.
Cant. Believe. I'm doing this.
She was.... excited.

C a r l y l e .. H a n k .. O . ' H a r a Birds flying high.. you know how I feel. Sun in the sky... you know how I feel. Reeds drifting on by... you know how I feel. It's a new dawn, It's a new day, It's a new life... For me. And I'm feeling good. Carlyle waved everyone off as they all went their separate ways to pack for their mini adventure.
He sat there for a second and sighed before pushing himself off the bench and walking back home.
He pulled his hand out of his pocket and checked the time. Of course. It was still stupidly early, in his opinion anyway. He walked around the back of his house and climbed up the tree out by his room and stepped smoothly onto the roof and in through his bedroom window.
Carl grabbed a backpack and threw it on his bed. Then moving towards his dresser he rummaged through and pulled out another pair of jeans, another shirt, underwear and socks, throwing them over his shoulder and onto the bed behind him. That'd do clothes-wise.
He sat back down on his bed and opened his bedside drawer, pulling out his swiss army knife and slipping it into his jeans pocket. As he started to fold up his clothes and pack them into the bag, he glanced around his room. The dart-pin marks. The posters. The random doodles.
He would actually miss this place a little.

Kyle Tanner Crawford Kyle got to his house and snuck in. He grabbed some wife beeter shirts and a pair of pants. Sweat Pants. He looked around his bland room that had recently been overwhelmed with pictures -- they were supposed to help or something.
Yeah. He grabbed one of himself with his parents. That'd due. He tossed it in and then pocketed the bit of money he had kept hidden. Before sighing and falling back on his bed.
His hands behind his head, bag next to him on the bed. Yeah, he was ready.

It was still so early.. but there was no way she could possibly get back to sleep.
Nope, all she would have to do is get ready to leave... and think and think and think about t!
Sooo.... clothes... maybe soem money, if it would even matter... some food... something to carry it al in... There wasn't really much she could take when they needed to pack light.
Then again, she didn't really have much she cared for enough to take. Although, maybe some paper and a pencil... that wasn't heavy...

The whole idea of getting out of here was getting more and more real, and he was excited.
He lay back on his bed and grabbed at his phone. He heard a couple of doors open and close downstairs. Parents off to work. Get in there son. He pushed his specs off and rested then at the top of his head as he wrote out a text to Brook.
what d'you think it's like?
She had found a way through right?
Did she get a chance to see much of it? If so, what was it like..? The same?..
Different?
Curiosity was eating at him, even though he was mere hours away from finding out himself. Suppose he just wanted to be reassured that something better was out there.

Brooklyn Elizabeth Madison --------------------------------------------------------------------- Cause I’ve been housing all this doubt and insecurity. And I’ve been locked inside that house all the while you hold the key. And I’ve been dying to get out and that might be the death of me. And even though, there’s no way in knowing where to go, promise I’m going because,
--------------------------------------------------------------------- Brooklyn grabbed her bag and went to sit out on her roof again. She looked across the bit of her neighborhood that she could see. Totally sunny out now, and people were just leaving to go off to work and such.
She smiled, thankful that the shape of her house provided some shelter from the towns eyes. But she felt a vibrating in next to her, in her bag.
What the.. Oh. She pulled out her phone and smiled as she flipped it open. Yeah, their phones were practically acient. No iPhones. Ha.
Brook texted back, I couldn't see much out there. not too close at least. but i saw lots of lights in the distance. looks pretty. and like i said, gotta be better than this right? (:
She carefully and quietly laid back on her back, staring off at the sky.
--------------------------------------------------------------------- I gotta get outta here. Because I’m afraid that this complacency is something I can’t shake. I gotta get outta here. And I’m begging You, I’m begging You, I’m begging You to be my escape.

What did he do now? Wait around till nightfall? Fun.
Maybe he should go around and talk to people or something. Nah. Then they'd know something was up. That rude, poncy, anti-social teenager..? Conversing? HE'S UP TO SOMETHING!? ..Would no doubt be the conclusion. Whatevs..
The only people he could stand were the three people he was running away with tonight, so why should he bother with any one else? Apart from the random girl to fill an empty bed every so often.. But other than that, he didn't care much about anyone else. Maybe his parents. But they had become more like his landlords than family. Maybe it was their fault. Maybe it was his. Didn't matter much now though did it.
He phone made an age old beep sound as he got a reply from Brook.
yeah. hope so. you reckon you'll miss here?

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Brooklyn had drifted off a bit as she laid on her roof. Her mind ran over the people she had become close to in this old town.
Well, the cops and her had had a lot of interactions. Unfortunatly. But nothing ever too serious, that they could prove at least. Which sucked for them. But Brook was always seen as the troublemaker.
Her parents? Ha. They'd care for all of about two minutes. Then they'd probably thank their lucky stars she was gone. The only problem the town would have, would be the fact that seh actually left. She could get them destroyed or whatever. But she wasn't in it for that.
Honestly? She just wanted out. Her phone buzzed, shaking her awake.
Bah. Doubt. U kiddin' me? u know i've never fit in here. won't miss it a spec. u?

Maybe he was just a little more sentimental that he thought. Or something..
haha. nahh. its gonna be great out there(;
He sighed and put his phone back on the bedside and stared at the ceiling. The sounds of the town getting busier slowly filtered through his window. Lots of lights? Must be better than this grassy dump then. No no. Things would definitely be better, he told himself.

She looked around the town, sighing softly. wanna hang out for a bit? She added on to the end, totally boredddd. She bit her bottom lip. Then she sat up, crossing her ankles as she watched the people of her town get into cars and drive off to where they were going.
Others, most, walked.

sure. im aint budgin though. i got up early for you this morn, so you can shimmy your a** over on here. doors open.
She didn't live far away, no-one lived far away in this town. How. So either way, she couldn't complain. Much. Whenever the rents were out, the door was always open. Yeah. Go figure.
Carl sat up and reached for a stray bit of paper and a pencil and started to sketch something, whatever image was on his mind right now, just for the sake of doing something. As always.
[[ooh. and yeah. sounds good to me (:]]

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Brooklyn rolled her eyes before answering Carl. Right right. Of course. <3 be there soon.
Yeah. His parents were gone then. Thankfully. They were always so weird about them hanging out. Any of them really, aside from Carl with Kyle and Brook with Kat. That was 'normal'. Of course, Brooklyn might just be corrupting their innocent child.
Ha. Right. Innocent.
She grabbed her bag and crawled down the side of the ledges to get off her roof. No house was very high, so this was an easy task yet again. Especially with the ladder being kind of close.
Once her feet hit the ground she pulled the rubberband from her hair and headed over towards Carlyle's. He didn't live too far away, so it wasn't much of a hassle.
Plus, his house was way more fun. She walked right in when she arrived at his place, heading straight for his room. Brooklyn busted in his door, finding him on his bed. She plopped down next to him and smiled.
"Hey sleepybear."

"Close your eyes Bite your tongue And pretend you never Saw the sun rise Or herd a song sung With wistful wonder" -Omg A Name- Kathrine Jean Johnson :.Kat.: See, now, getting ready didn't take long at all. Meaning she shortly had nothing to do. Meaning all she had to think about was what they were doing to do, which made her nervous... Which was never good.
No, Kat needed something to distract her, and staying in her room or house just wasn't going to cut it. Of course, going outside she could look uot toward the walls an- Ok, thinking, way too much.
So, she just decided to leave and headed downstairs. Her parents were in the kitchen just about to leave too, and she walked right passed them without a word, then stopp, and looked back. Would she miss them? Well... her father didn't really seem to care about anything she did unless it got in his way. Or when she was there when her mother "messed with him."
But her mom... well, she wasn't around much with such a demanding job, but... She blinked, and then kept walking, stop thinking so much! Just let her feet take her where they may.

Kyle Tanner Crawford Kyle looked over at his phone. It was still really early. He rolled over, closing his eyes. But sleep wasn't going to come.
He had known that much from the start. With a heavy sigh he sat up in his bed, feet hanging off the side and looked around. All his stuff was here. But its not like he had the recolation of when he got any of it, or why.
This place didn't matter to him, and he didn't matter much to it either. So, with a long drawn out yawn he stood up and grabbed his stuff, phone included.
Parents wouldn't be home until late anyway. Just about the time he'd be umping the wall. Kyle walked out of his room, down the hall and passed the living room. With his bag slung over his shoulder he headed off towards nowhere's ville.
After wandering a bit, he passed Carl's house, just in time to see Brook heading inside. Funny how that worked right? He rolled his eyes, shrugging a bit before carrying on down the road. He ended up outside Kats, calling her as he made his way to the front door.
