i havn't been hit YET... although unfortunately when the band director puts the whole show on the field... ill get hit in the head a couple times by a spinning flag(pathway issue and the director won't deal with it) and i might take a nose dive with my instrument(a tad weighted of a mello) during the jazz run.... i almost did it too at the blue valley invitational

Twice. First because a really fat trumpet backed into me and fell on me. My knee still bears the scar -_- Aha, second time because we were marching a piece for the first time, and I was leading the line. I didn't realize we had to start imediatly after we hit. Oooops

chaudblaze Well, I haven't really been hit during a rehearsal/performance, but last Friday, when we were on the side of the field warming up for halftime, a football hit me on the head. I am now thankful that we have hats. Haha, one point in this year's field show for my school makes me wonder why we have shakeos xD When going from our "eclipse" formation into an arc, I have to be careful and tell the person in front of me when they're going too far. I'm only 5ft tall and if I'm too close to the person behind me, his trumpet bell ends up hitting my shakeo neutral Even for my small size, I'm squished for 50 counts since there's always one person who takes too big of a step...

Twice. Once at a football game, during halftime. We were doing a follow-the-leader move and my friend was taking too big steps. She would've knocked me over, but she's only about half my size, so it kind of rebounded on her....(Not that she meant to do it, obviously.)
Other time was also at a football game, but I was in the stands. This guy on the drumline was acting as band manager and throwing rolls of toilet paper up to people (I have no idea why). I huge roll hit me right in the face. (Yeah, it hurt.)

A few times. Clarinet to the hand, trombone slide to the back.
Oh. And once, a percussionist decides to try and be cute for my friend, and picks up a baton and tries to twirl. I end up getting said baton embedded into my eye.
Best part is, afterwards he tried to blame it on me. "YOU LEANED INTO IT, YOUR FAULT"
:/

.__. I think I've only been hit one this marching season by a sousaphone, and it was my fault because I started drifting and I couldn't see anything .__. It pisses me off though how she bitched about her mouth, though she was perfectly fine but I also got hurt with my shoulder >> Man band people complain. I know I've hit a saxophone kid twice, one time really badly .__. I still feel guilty about that.

a lot of times
it was in one of the sets in the opener, i'm supposed to go in between these two tuba players. one of them didn't get to their dot in time, and the bell of my baritone hit his tuba. It broke my braces, and i had this big a** bruise on my lips for a week. xp
in our closer the colorgaurd has to go in between us and the one that goes in between me and other girl in my section hit me with her flag (on accident, i think)
one of the instructors was standing by where my dot was and didn't see me and i couldn't see him so i ran into him and it hurt like hell cuz his folder with the drill in it whacked me in the head.

I cant remember really being hit too many times... My first year I got whiped with a flag on my legs a couple times during a visual, and in this year I've nearly been run over several times. But, for the most part I've avoided damage.
I hit my head on a table once my first year, but that was my fault... I did get kicked one time by our soloist, while he was doing a visual. sweatdrop
And then another time we had to work out a pathway so I wouldnt get murdered by a flag...
But I did trip over a weight once on the feild and scrape my elbow this last season. And my first year I tripped over a parking thingy during a break. XP
As for just getting hit by other band members for randomness, or because I messed up, and stuff... That's another thing.

Does this question even COUNT if you're in color guard!?!? Honestly, I've hit myself hard enough with my flag to black out, TWICE!!
I've smacked a trombone in the back of the head. [Stupid formations]
And I've had a clarinet jammed into my mouth so hard, the layer of skin on the roof of my mouth got ripped out by the mouth piece/reed. Luckily, the reed didn't break! [I learned the hard way that clarinet players hate it when others play their instruments... XD]
...All in all, I think I'm the one who's suffered the most damage in the whole band... XD

At least once every performance. The guard was doing work very close to the forms, and I got stuck next to the girl who couldn't catch her tosses. Thank GOD for the hats, or I would have got a concussion.

I haven't been hit yet, but I was almost run over by a quad player, and my friend with a bass drum almost took me out with it during one of our practices.
