Ako took off his soaked jacket and hung it on a hook near the door. "Practicing." he said simply. He walked to the kitchen area to start some tea and warm himself up, and leaned against the counter to look toward Tansy. "You shouldn't hide your wings like that." He said, his voice quiet but strong. "I'd be proud of them, you look like an angel."
As steam started to rise from the teapot's spout, he turned to one of the cabinets to pull out a glass, and pulled a pouch of tea leaves out of a container on the counter. "Technically, I guess you are, huh?"

She stood up and looked back at her wings. She stretched them out and paused. "I don't know.. Maybe." She sighed softly. "I don't feel like an angel. I just feel... confused." She shook her head somewhat and wrapped her arms around her body. "I mean... I don't even remember being dead." She laughed softly. "It's that weird... I mean. No white light, no tunnel, no gates to heaven. Nothing. And if i am some kind of angel, then why am I here? What am I supposed to be doing?"

Ako shrugged, not knowing how to answer her final question. He admired her wings when she stretched them, but understood her position. He'd been confused, even a bit scared when he discovered his power, but he knew it wasn't anywhere close to what she went through. To blackout and wake up in a coffin at your own funeral. The soft whistle as the teapot began to boil snapped him out of his thoughts, and he took the pot off of the stove before it started screaming. "Maybe it's best that you don't remember death. To see what lies beyond only to go back where you came from."
He poured the steaming water into the glass and added sugar before turning back to Tansy. "Like some tea? I picked up a couple flavors on the last food run."

Tansy laughed softly and smiled. "i guess you're right." She walked into the kitchen and looked around. Sometimes, she wondered how they had gotten the money to stay here, and she felt bad. But maybe... maybe it was just meant to be. "Tea sounds great." She smiled at him as she folded her wings against her back so that she could fit into the kitchen better.

Ako smiled as she laughed, glad he could bring someone's mood up. He pulled another glass out of the cupboard and made the tea, handing the steaming cup to Tansy. He warned her that it was hot as he picked his own glass back up and blew on it before taking a sip.

She took the cup from him with a small smile and held it gently in her hands. She took a sip and sighed as she let its warmth fill her. She leaned gently back against the counter and looked to him. "Is it just me... or has the weather been odd as of late?"

"Oh? What do you mean?" Ako asked. he hadn't noticed anything strange, but then again, the weather had been similar to that of his hometown. He probably hadn't noticed the weather because he was used to it.

"Well," she started slowly. "I just think that it is odd for some many storms to come through this time of year." She took another sip of the tea and looked towards the window."not only that, but it's like the weather can't make up it's mind. One minute, there's a thunder storm, then thew sky is cloudlessly blue again." She looked back at his face. "You don't find that strange?"

"I'm a guy who can control electricity having tea with an angel. No, I don't find the recent weather weird." He was obviously joking, and he tried to hide his smile by taking another sip of tea. "Seriously, though? I'm used to this weather, I grew up in it. It would do this for a week or so, then suddenly we'd have a month long drought, then it'd rain off and on again. and all the while, people would complain about the weather."
He paused to take another drink and formulate his next thought. "Although, I guess that's not the normal pattern for this area, huh? Think It has something to do with the Rock?"

She paused for a few seconds. "It might.. I mean.... If it changed us, then it could be affecting other things too..." She frowned slightly, her brows knitting together in though. "i don't know, maybe I'm just not thinking straight." She sighed softly as she fished off the cup of tea. "I'm just so tired of beeping cooped up here..." She looked to the ground and sighed.

"You could head up to the roof." Ako offered. "I think this place has roof access, and no one would see you up there." He knew she didn't want to be seen, but there weren't many places to not be seen in this city.

Tansy paused, her eyes blinked several times. She hadn't though of that. She blushed deeply. "I.. I didn't think of that." She laughed softly as she set the cup down. "Will you come with me?" She smiled pleadingly at him, not really wanting to go alone.

Ako chuckled, not at her, but at a thought. He remembered a fact he'd learned somewhere, "People never think to look up." He drained his cup in one last swig, and set it on the counter. "I'd love to go with you."

She smiled brightly and grabbed his hands in hers, excitement lighting up her face. "well, come on then let's go!" She laughed brightly as she moved into the elevator and pushed the button labeled 'R'. She smiled brightly, then paused, her wings ruffled slightly. She leaned closer to him. "You don't think that this elevator has a camera... do you?" She asked softly.

Ako smiled at the almost childlike look of excitement on her face as they moved into the elevator He looked around the ceiling of the elevator for signs on a camera and said, "I doubt it, and even if it does, I'm sure the poor security guy who's watching thinks you're in costume."
The ride was short, only one level up from the penthouse to the roof. The doors dinged open, and the hotel roof awaited them.
