Maru frowned, trying to catch up with Luke. She knew he wouldn't do anything but still, he looked pretty angry. She was suprsied when Howl came up to Luke and wrapped his hands around Luke's legs. She started sprinting to catch up to him. "Come on Zee!!" She said, closing the distance.
Luke was so mad he was nearly shaking. No one, and he meant no one was going to touch his daughter. Not even some wizard toddler. He was going to give the kid a piece of his mind! But suddenly he felt little arms wrap around his legs. He looked down, still angry but the minute he heard I love you come out of the toddlers mouth he was for some reason much more calm and cool. He picked up Howl, balencing him on his hip. "No kissing Natalie, you hear me? You can play with her and I'll even let you hold her hand, but no kissing. Do you understand me?" He asked sternly.

Zee was at Maru's sided, but gave a rather loud sigh of relief when Howl seemed to get off easily. Well, the kid deserved a talking to anyway. He shouldn't just kiss other children. He needed to learn how things worked here in Gaia.
Howl looked up at Luke with comprending eyes--he undersood, but wasn't paying much attention. "Kay," he said simply, giving the adult a nod. He was relieved that his trick had worked, he'd never used it before. He'd never had to. "Kay, I no kith Natalie. Promith. I juth play with her." Yes, he had full intentions of being good. He had to find Sophie, and if an angry father hurt him... He probably wouldn't be able to.
Anyway, Natalie might have been pretty, but she certainly wasn't as pretty as Sophie was.

Maru smiled. That was the worst thing about kids, they'd do something wrong then tell you they love you and all of your anger just melted away. But sometimes it was a good thing like today.
Luke nodded seriously and set Howl back on the ground. "Okay, you can go play again. But remember, no kissing!" He scolded.
Natalie smiled happily when Howl was allowed to come back. "Kay Howl?" She asked.

Zee was so relieved that he sat down in the grass, and shook his head. "Maru, come on. We have a better view from here, anyway," he said, patting the ground beside him. "I think Howl'll be fine now, Luke's shown him his place. I don't think he'll be kissing Natalie again anytime soon. But I can't promise anything once they become teenagers." He winked playfully.
Howl turned around and gave Luke another hug around the knees. "Luv you," he said before toddling off in Natalie's direction. "I kay!" he reassured her with a smile. "We play now?" He pointed to the jungle gym, tilting his head slightly.

Maru smiled and sat down in the grass next to Zee. It was nice to see Luke in action with the kids. In her opinion he had handled it fairly well. Maru smiled at Zee. "We should do this more often!" She said.
Natalie smiled. "Yeah, wets pway!" She said taking Howl's hand and starting to skip towards the jungle gym. "What you wanna pway?"

Zee smiled. "Sure, I bet Howl'd like that. He doesn't know many people yet, so it's good for him to have contact with the few friends he does have." The dark elf paused, and looked at the woman. "Personally, I think Howl and Natalie would make a good couple when they're older, but maybe that's the Thali side of me talking. She made me into a romantic." Well, Thali and winning Stasia's heart.
Howl followed Natalie, finding it hard to skip. His legs just seemed to be clumsy, which was hard for the normally graceful wizard to comprehend. Why was he clumsy? "We play..." The wizard realized he didn't know any games, and frowned. "Dunno. Natalie pick? Pleath?"

Maru smiled. "I'm sure Natalie would like playing with Howl again too. She hasn't met too many people either." She giggled a little when Zee mentioned Natalie and Howl as a couple. "I guess we'll have to see." She said, winking playfuly. Luke sat down next to Maru. "Yeah, we'll see." He said, frowning slightly.
Natalie thought for a minute. She didn't really know too many games either she realized. "We pway. . . can you hang upside down by your fweet Howl?" She asked. She'd seen some older kids do it. It couldn't be that hard she decided.
