Ahh, what a moment. Raive splayed out on his side, tail still thumping the ground, after he'd finished. They put a dent in the deer...the rest could be left for a straggler or another rogue or perhaps even the crows. He smiled and sighed, looking up at the sky.
"Do you have a pack, Blaise?" he asked out of the blue, ears tilting forwards. He looking into the gold eyes of his companion and offered a smile. "I ask, because I would love to start one... A pack, that is. I would love to have a close, tight-knit family of wolves to hunt with and sleep with and play with. You understand, right?" Again, wagged the tail.

Across from him, Blaise was intently cleaning off a leg bone he'd managed to pull from the corpse. He had tried to keep eating even after his larger counterpart had stopped, but after a while he felt very strange. He was full, which wasn't a common occurrence for the loner. Yet he felt something other than full, happy and accomplished. And now, gnawing on his precious leg bone that he had trapped between his paws, he watched the colors move on the Raive's tail intently.
Licking blood off his muzzle, the lanky wolf cocked his head at his friend as he spoke, listening. But he wasn't quite sure he understood. In his world, he found and forgot wolves they came so scarcely, and hadn't even a name for them. But Raive would stay? He'd like that. He loved the bigger wolf's company, his leadership, his colors especially.
"Stay?" He inquired curiously, going from what he knew. Other concepts would come later.

Raive's tail paused in mid-wag at Blaise's single word. His heart swelled a little and he grinned over at his companion. "Well...Not here," he chuckled. "The pack would be a traveling circus of sorts... So it'd be alot of traveling, from land to land. Do you have a talent, Blaise?" His head tilted to one side. He himself would be the loyal Ringleader, the alpha that everyone turned to. His tail began to wag once more.

With his friend's elated response, Blaise mirrored a grin, tail swaying easily back and forth behind the wolf. He liked it when the Raive was happy, it made him happy. At least happier, he thought as he chomped on his bone. Bone made him happy as well.
Not here? Blaise looked about. Did it matter where it was? He nodded knowingly as he brought up traveling, he did that anyway. Lots of walking. Walking for food. And Raive would be there.
But he stumbled over the question of talent. He wasn't quite sure what one was, let alone have one. Of course he had a tail and didn't know what it was, but it was part of a Blaise, so he did technically. Once more he gave Raive a cocked headed questioning look.

Raive leapt to his paws, excited to explain the concept of talents to his loyal new follower. He did a little dance, circling Blaise several times as he tried to figure out how to explain it. "Talents... Skills. Like, I, for one, am very good at hunting. You see?" He pointed to the felled deer and offered a small smirk. Proud of himself, Raive was. His tail flagged the air. "What are -you- good at, especially?"

Ears pricked and Blaise lay both paws over the bone like an armrest as he watched the multi-hued wolf jig about him, always following him with golden yellow eyes. Was he looking for a talent? Then he would know what it was. The male liked this very much, but would definitely that there be less words in life. Much too confusing, though he did like the sound of the Raive's voice.
He ticked his head towards the carcass a little ways away from them both and cocked his head. So that was how it worked? Raive made the undead dead. Well, he could do it to, couldn't he? Things, certainly not large ones like the deer , he could make dead. That was just common fact. "Hunting." He seemed to parrot, thinking it an appropriate answer.

Raive grinned down at the little parrot. Perhaps he just couldn't talk well... That would explain why he was out on his own. "We could use another hunter!" he said eagerly, flopping down beside Blaise. "And you're special and talented in your own unique way, too," he said, tail wagging dust floating in the air. "Every wolf is. Now let's take a nap. After our nap, we'll head off. Gather more wolves. A new pack. Pack," he repeated, partially for himself and partially a keyword for young Blaise.
Then he flopped down where he sat, stretching out across from Blaise and closing pale yellow eyes. His muzzle wrinkled in a soft snort and he let out a sigh, shifting to get more comfortable. And the rave-hued wolf began to dream of a perfect little pack...
The Carnivale...
{Post and put a FIN tag on it. I'll add blaise into a rp with another wolf, that's already started if you want? biggrin }

Blaise grinned back at the Raive, without quite understanding all he said. It didn't matter, cos the Raive was going to stay with him. He himself had never stayed with anyone before and it seemed when about Raive he did alot of things right. Right in the sense he hadn't been chased away yet.
He had food, companionship, and now a good sleep would be the icing on the cake. A pink tongue flicked from his mouth as the male yawned, settling in temporarily where he lay across from Raive. But as soon as his companion was asleep and unresponsive, he found a hedge-like bush that could support his weight decently and climbed upon that to stretch out for rest. He never slept at ground level, it was impossible for him too. And he too dreamt of things, but not of packs, of colors and blood and wordless pictures.
