A booth connected to Lolita Kisama sold items at Oni-con on Halloween this year. I was at Oni-con.

The items they sold were K-star, spider, and their own "personal" pieces, constructed with raschel lace, polyester and transparent thread [aka fishing line]. How this counts as "new and improved" construction and quality is beyond me.

They are a cheap punk brand that happens to have misleading tags on their items in order to hook newbie lolitas who don't know better.

I also was at PMX and saw AP's goods in person. I own pieces from BtSSB, AP, AatP, Meta, Innocent World, and numerous smaller independent brands and seamstresses. I also work for a lolita importer that not brings in goods from Chinese brands such as Secret Shop, HMHM, Rose Melody and Kids Yoyo, but produces its own products through specially contracted tailors. So yes. I know quality when I see it.

Of the retailers I have listed, Lolita Kisama can't even come close to comparing. Even GLP has higher quality than that pitiful excuse for a store. =/

That what you talk about doesn't sounds like Lolita Kisama in any way special since they rarely use polyester besides for corests. Also they don't sell things from other brands besides shoes and makeup. That shows me like I said already that you don't really know anything about their products. I wonder if you even looked if they were really made by Lokisa since if it is from the old factory you will notice it on the old brand marking.

Besides that, I have sure seen way more official brand stores then you in my life so I am sure I know more about quality then you special since there are way more stores in osaka existing then in the us.

There were three tags in the dresses. There were ugly lolita dresses, equally poor quality Japanese "punk" and gothic clothing. Lolita Kisama's was one of the labels in the pieces, and what I said above applies to those items.

I also think you must not be looking at their site, since I don't even see any passable lolita pieces on there aside from a headdress with different colored roses. In fact, their search finds these:

Buckle Punk Lolita Skirt - If those ruffles are cotton, I'll eat my shoes.

Classic Elegant Gothic Lolita Skirt - Made of Polyester, as listed on the site

Lolita Flower Skirt - Also listed as being made of polyester

I suggest you actually do your research, since you insist on defending them as being reliable and perfect.

As for living in Osaka, I'm afraid I highly doubt your story, since we've had dozens of girls who claimed likewise and were proven to be liars, trolls, or attention whores. You put your images up with links from German-language hosting sites, and you buy from Chinese brands. That last point in particular makes me raise an eyebrow, since, what with you being in the magical land of Japan, you certainly have far more and far better options.
PostPosted: Mon Nov 16, 2009 5:30 pm

Like I said already I own myself clothes from them so I know their quality better then a person who doesn't really know the quality. Besides that they only have the products that they still have in stock visible on their website and not all.

Also since when is AP a chinese brand, as you maybe have read it I have serveral pieces from them but certain dresses they made love to lose the lace/ruffles after a while. They aren't that much into quality and originality anymore since the last years thought, special since they focus on making advertisments in cosplay magazines. Also since when is imageshack a german hosting service? You maybe should think twice before you write things that make yourself look stupid...

In your "Items you have bought" post, the image you linked to was on a German-language site. I removed the link because it had a browser hijacker, and suggested you use another site. Did you forget that you'd done that? Or perhaps backpedaling is just your specialty.

In any case, in the tradition of all skeptics I must say: "I'll believe it when I see it."

Lolita Kisama has been reviled by the lolita community since it came into being. Just because you claim that they have better pieces that "aren't on their site" isn't going to convince me, just like your claims to have AP and live in Japan aren't going to convince me, when all you do is sing the praises of Lolita Kisama, and recommend Fanplusfriend as a favorite.

To be honest, though, I've pretty much signed you off as a troll out for laughs and giggles. So do carry on. Try and convince us that Lolita Kisama is fabulous, but provide no proof of it. (:

Like I said it before, read first and then write. I never said that Lolita Kisama is the best online store but for cetain things it is my favorite just like I said that F+F is my favorite when it comes to winter coats that are really useable for a cold winter not like the BTSSB and AP ones. You shouldn't forget that japan is a island so it is not as cold as in the us where the most users are from and the coats aren't made for weather like this because they focus on the local customers so I prefer sharing something that is usable for them.

Also I prefer buying my clothes at stores then online ones so I don't have much to list as "online stores" I use.

Congratulations your absolute ignorance and need to fight with Spuntino has issued you a warning. You're lucky I'm not banning you since if you had read the guild rules, obsessive fighting with a guild mod gets you instantly BANNED. Also for you to say that you lived in Osaka and then say that AP is a Chinese brand just shows how much a liar you are. AP is based in gasp, Japan! AP website is in gasp, Japanese! The creators and spokespeople of AP that go to all events are gasp, Japanese! Also for someone who has "lived" in Japan you know nothing of the weather there. I have seen American Lolitas who live in the most brutal winters in Michigan say that the coats are very warm because guess what it gets very cold in Japan being surrounded by water and all.

The last thing I shall say to you is that this is the internet and people will always have DIFFERENT OPINIONS. It is within human nature to disagree with others but it shows maturity to be able to accept said opinions without acting like a child. I feel sorry for you that you have acted so poorly over people agreeing that your "god like" Lolita Kisama is a piece of crap that no one buys from. Learn to accept criticism and learn to accept opinions because next time I will not be so kind and I will ban you without any remorse. This guild never has any problems with this sort of behavior because everyone is very cordial with one another and as mods we appreciate it when members are kind to one another, including to us.

No worries, as a guild member you have the right to voice what you think since this is an atmosphere where you will be participating in. I agree that it was going really bad which is why I had written that hopefully it was behind us now so that everyone could continue posting in the thread in a friendly environment.

Outside of the main brands (which i assume you guys already know about...) i would say that F+F has good quality, and the option of having it made to your size is a nice one. I haven't had any bad experiences with them myself. Another off-brand option i would check out is Bodyline. They have good quality, and good prices too. Their shoes are super comfy, according to a friend that fits the sizes...

((I normally wouldn't want to say anything about the drama in the thread but... It seems to me that sputino, while right, could have been more polite in her initial response. I mean... am i the only one who was taken a little aback by the completely elitist attitude there? it was like 'oh hi, you have an opinion, which the facts dissagree with so i'm gonna be super rude now." Honestly, if this is the behavior expected of mods, i'd be tempted to leave the guild.))

Where Lolita Kisama is concerned, I'm afraid there's no way to sugar coat them, or be nice about the poor quality of their garments. Saying that they're constructed with fishing line isn't a joke. And, the type of raschel lace that they use will melt if heated.

The elitist attitude that I assume you're talking about is the much fabled Elitism for brand, which... isn't really the case. ^^; Spuntino has nothing against off brand items, I assure you. None of us here do.
But we do have something to say about quality, especially when someone wants to charge lofty prices for something that isn't worth it. So there's nothing really "Elitist" about the fact that they are a complete waste of money. They sell $60 skirts constructed out of plastic thread and lace. Their garments will fall apart/melt/never accomodate a petticoat/never be lolita.
I wouldn't call it rude to point out that they're a bad company, and suggest that people avoid them.
Their quality has been proven, and denying facts is not an opinion. The definition of a delusion is something that is falsely believed or propagated. The definition of delusional is being out of touch with reality. I'm not trying to be rude by any means, but the reality is that they are a bad brand, and she was propagating false information. The only actually logical reasons to propagate false information about a label with a bad reputation is because you're a) an agent of that label or b) a troll.

That aside:
My favorite online shops are Moi meme Moitie, Mary Madgalene, Victorian Maiden. heart

Actually, the reason I ended up rude so quickly is because this user has already received two other warnings from me, one of which she deleted, and I'm sort of at the end of my rope with being gentle on reminders.

It has nothing to do with elitism so much as me being fed up by the fact that she has 1) linked to a site with a browser hijacker, 2) attacked people for not living the lifestyle, and 3) basically tried to advise a newcomer to buy from a site that has been repeatedly and negatively reviewed.

[I've also been approached by a guild member who wishes to remain anonymous with evidence from another community that indicates that said user may be a troll; the evidence is not conclusive, however. Trolling carries a penalty which results in an instant ban from the guild.]

I will sadly have to disagree with you on the aspect that Spuntino was talking in an elitist manner. Spuntino is actually pro-offbrand and buys a lot of handmade items from Cryrin. I think people often mistake people's words as "elitist" because they are not agreeing to an offbrand. As mods it's our commitment to help newer members from wasting what little money they have on poor quality items. We were all once new members with little money that made poor purchases and wish someone had said something to help. I can verify that Lolita Kisame is a poor company when my friend attempted to dry a skirt she bought the lace MELTED onto the skirt in the dryer -_-;.
If you go through other posts and in fact the main newcomer's thread you'll see a lot of Pro-Offbrand from all mods and especially from Spuntino. Usually the "mean" mod is me in this guild so I don't get why everyone seems to think she is being rude >..>. If you feel that the way we handle things is offputting to you and you wish to leave the guild, while sad to see things misunderstood it is your right to do so
